Nexus 6p water indicator? - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, does anyone know where the water damage indicators are on the nexus 6p, I realize they are inside the phone, but anyone know if there's one on the sim card slot? Just purchased one on Swappa and want to check it out, thanks!

I believe it was located on the SIM tray on the Nexus 6, but don't recall seeing it on the 6p.
Looks like someone else answered this on another forum for you: http://forums.androidcentral.com/nexus-6p/639866-nexus-6p-water-indicator.html

Replacement sim tray

Anyone know where I could buy a sim card tray for an i9020a? I damaged a pin taking a sim adapter out and didn't know it. Traded phony to a guy and of course sim doesn't work. He's shipping back to me and I need to fix it.
Thanks!
BTW I've googled and searched to no avail.
Anyone? Bueller?
You could buy a for parts phone and take it out of there.

I think Global Direct Parts has them. They seem to be having logistics issues and are publicly saying they won't ship or take orders for a few weeks.

depending on which pin you have broken theres a fix. I broke my bottom right pin and i came up with a quick fix. Just go to my profile and look at my album and there is a picture of the fix in there. I cant link you to it because i dont have enough post count.
Hi omvir, I broke exactly the same pin. I saw your picture, is than an aluminum foil? Can you please elaborate on what you did? Thank.

Nexus 4 UK Help Please

Hi Guys, have a nexus 4 on tmobile/orange uk. Running totally stock 4.22. My problem is the phones signal is useless compared to other android phones. Sitting on desk it may read 3 or 4 bars, lift it to make a call and it loses all signal and cannot make a call. I have returned it via RMA to google and the new phone is exactly the same.
I am wondering has anyone in the UK a similar problem. I have considered rooting the phone to try different radios but dont want to go down this road unless I have to.
Please Help, great phone for everything else apart from making calls.........doh.
I'd change the SIM, sounds like it might be the cause
Got a new micro sim when I bought phone in dec 2012, Daughter tried here sim in as well and no difference.

Please Help!! Dropped Phone; Sim Card + Tray = GONE

I was running for the bus and incorrectly assumed my phone wouldn't go flying out of my pocket (not that I had much time to think in the midst of things). Front and back are intact; corners all got dented. When I made it on the bus was when I noticed the sim card tray was gone, along with the sim card itself. Don't see a single viable result for a replacement through a Google search. Please help?? I just need a new tray. Replacement the chrome sides of the 6P is something I can look into after fixing this dilemma - I can't receive calls or use data in this state!
I purchased the phone via the Google store on Nov 18 using a Chase debit card.
Would any Nano-SIM tray work? Can I return to Google? Is there any workaround? Any help is extremely appreciated!

That really sucks. I would call Google. You'll get the answer direct from them rather than likely speculation here.

Some people in the Dual-Sim thread have had trays 3d printed. Send messages to a few of the people and ask if the tray they got printed works for the normal slot, and if so where to get it.

You might need a detailed picture of a Nexus 6P SIM tray in order to build something like this
Lol thank god I found it - both the tray and the card! Took a cab back and searched out in the cold and dark for 30 minutes. Funny enough I found someone else's SIM card but T-Mo is giving me a free one in-store tomorrow.
BTW -- For anyone else in this circumstance, Globaldirectparts is the only online retailer at the time of this writing who has a replacement SIM tray for the Huawei Nexus 6P H1511. Listed for $6.99 + shipping.

I got accidental damage coverage on my 6P for 2 years for $99 with a $75 deductible. I know someone who has used it before and it's legit.

Nexus 6P Refurb?

I recently had to send out my 27 day old Nexus 6P 128GB Graphite. Something happened with the mobile radio and it no longer was able to pickup any sort of cellular signal. Huawei approved the device to be replaced and I just recently got it. It came in a basic brown box. The phone was wrapped in the nexus slip it comes in as if you were opening it up for the first time from the original box. It also had the serial label on the back of it. Question is, has anyone had any experience with Huawei device replacements before and did you receive a new device or refurb? I hate the idea of possibly owning a refurbished phone because my Nexus 6P died within a months use. The phone I have seems new but is there any actual way to check that?

If it's any consolation, I'm using a refurb Nexus 6P and as long as it's manufactured refurbished you should be just fine. I have no problems whatsoever in any aspects, I was reluctant too and after that I've flashed several roms, run stress tests, Battery tests, etc. Been using it for about 6 months now without any problem. No complaints at all.

I hear ya. I mean I cant say I have ever had issues with refurbs but I just feel that paying as much as I did for the phone and having it break less than a month into its life just to potentially receive a used device, kind of scratches me the wrong way. But on the flip side I've never seen a refurb come exactly how it would be if bought brand new. So just was curious if anyone else ever dealt with Huawei.
