I was running for the bus and incorrectly assumed my phone wouldn't go flying out of my pocket (not that I had much time to think in the midst of things). Front and back are intact; corners all got dented. When I made it on the bus was when I noticed the sim card tray was gone, along with the sim card itself. Don't see a single viable result for a replacement through a Google search. Please help?? I just need a new tray. Replacement the chrome sides of the 6P is something I can look into after fixing this dilemma - I can't receive calls or use data in this state!
I purchased the phone via the Google store on Nov 18 using a Chase debit card.
Would any Nano-SIM tray work? Can I return to Google? Is there any workaround? Any help is extremely appreciated!

That really sucks. I would call Google. You'll get the answer direct from them rather than likely speculation here.

Some people in the Dual-Sim thread have had trays 3d printed. Send messages to a few of the people and ask if the tray they got printed works for the normal slot, and if so where to get it.

You might need a detailed picture of a Nexus 6P SIM tray in order to build something like this
Lol thank god I found it - both the tray and the card! Took a cab back and searched out in the cold and dark for 30 minutes. Funny enough I found someone else's SIM card but T-Mo is giving me a free one in-store tomorrow.
BTW -- For anyone else in this circumstance, Globaldirectparts is the only online retailer at the time of this writing who has a replacement SIM tray for the Huawei Nexus 6P H1511. Listed for $6.99 + shipping.

I got accidental damage coverage on my 6P for 2 years for $99 with a $75 deductible. I know someone who has used it before and it's legit.

I got this phone on eBay for about 350$, today I received it in the mail and surprisingly it came with a sim still attached to its enclosing.
The package is full everything is included... headphones, manuals, cables...etc
I find it very strange to include a brand new sim...
I have sent an email through eBay asking seller about the source and sim...etc
I dunno what the answer would be or if there will be an answer at all!
Can this be stolen? what are the scenarios?
maybe its a pay as you go sim card,
Where was the sim found exactly? if it's second hand then it could be the previous owners. If it's new then it's either a pay as you go card, as already suggested or a contract sim card waiting to be activated.
It could also be a stolen phone but for $350 i doubt. Easiest way to tell is if it came with the shipping screen protector on it. It has the words "to prevent damage please remove from pants pocket before sitting down" or something like that.
Well, phone is like new t-mobile USA, seller says in auction:
"Title says it all, HD2 new in box, opened to test and used for about one hour. Locked for tmobile but easy to unlock. Great phone and one of the best displays I have ever seen but have to sell. All sales are final and are AsIs. Warranty for 11months through tmobile is still valid by imei"
I just don't want to get into any kind of trouble for buying potentially stolen property, should I call t-mobile?
Phone contained few family pictures, no call history, when I click on software information is showed 7 min of outgoing call and almost 2 min of incoming call.
This is the weirdest phone deal I ever made on eBay !!!!
I shouldn't worry about it. I'd guess it is a t mobile payg card, because the phone will still be locked to tmo, so the seller is including one. That way if some dim wit buys it and tries to put a different network sim in and it doesnt work, the seller can say 'hey, i gave them a sim'. (i'm an ebay seller, ebay are [email protected], take money offa ya at the slightest complaint from a buyer.)
The hours testing sounds fair but only 11 months warranty? how long has this guy had it? overall it sounds above board and if it is nicked you actually have proof you had no idea as long as you take a copy of the item description and keep the invoice
TMobile USA version of the HD2 comes with a Tmobile sim so that you just have to call tmobile (number on the sim) and provide the sims number to activate it (this is so that if you bought the phone via phonecall to tmobile and not in a tmobile store, you can use the phone no problem). That's most likely what you're referring to.
Seller replied to my question saynig:
"I kept the sim card since it was linked to my personal data and
with my address book. It was purchased at a tmobile corporate
store just over 30 days ago and can be checked with tmobile
customer care by imei"
I guess that's an acknowledgment that he bought it himself.
i guess so but it does put a big question over where the sim card that came with it came from because if he kept the original what the hell is the one you have?
I can imagine only one scenario (if he is being truthful). He was already a T-Mobile customer when he purchased the package, and he just shoved his old sim in (the one that contains his contacts), he didn't need the new sim included in the package so he left it intact.
Hello xda! My nexus 4 arrived today directly from google and i knew from the beggining that it was going to need a Micro-sim card... A friend of mine offered to cut my simple mobile normal sim card, and he did it, the problem is that the phone does not recognize my simcard. I have restarted several times and nothing happens it just says NO SIM CARD--EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY and i also cannot save any apn neither.
1. Is my simcard damaged?
2. If i ask for a new one at my simplemobile supplier will they replace it keeping my old number? (What cost)
NOTE: I did not pay my last month bill from simple mobile (My GT-i9100 Hard Bricked) so i suppose it has no service, until i pay it tomorrow.

First of all pay the bill.
This is normal, phone doesn't recognize the sim because the sim might be old or not properly cut.
Answers :
1)Yes might be, not properly cut.
2)You can ask for a micor sim card, they will give it to you with your old number. All service providers provide a micro sim, dont know about the charges.
Will do Rohit Thanks, ill keep you updated if anything happens tomorrow.

So I bought a nexus 6p earlier today around 7pm and they put the funds on hold in my account... I get home around 9:30pm and I get my new debit card in the mail and activate it immediately... It has the same exact card number though, the only thing that's different is the expiration date (it never actually expired, I just needed a new card because my old card was cracked) and the security code... Also my address changed lol...
Is this something I have to worry about? Or will it take the money out of my account and ship the phone with no issues? Ive never had to encounter something like this before and no one I asked seems to know either.

Check with your bank. Only they can tell you if they honored it or not. Do you have online banking? On mine it will show the difference in available funds immediately after purchases.

Yeah, my available balance shows the $500 for the phone taken out, even though its on hold... So I guess I should be good then
Hi everybody. I've got a bit of a conundrum to get out of. I just need to know that my problem isn't extremely serious or that I can expect it to be resolved if I take it to a store tomorrow.
I put in a cut SIM (as opposed to an issued SIM that's proper-looking and everything) in the SIM tray.
Now it's not coming out. I can get it out halfway, but after that it's jammed, and I'm afraid of breaking the tray so I won't pull it out any further.
The SIM works fine when I push the tray back in, if that helps.
I really hope there's some way for this to be fixed and that this isn't a fatal issue. Never again will I put in a cut SIM in a phone again.
Might just be too thick, I know some Sim cards need to be sanded down to fit right. If it's stuck try maybe using something to push it down so it can slide past whatever's obstructing it.
Sorry to hijack your thread but does anyone know why there are two SIM card trays?

In the turbo 2? There's only one actually. One side is both Sim and SD card on the tray. The only one I've seen with two Sim trays is either the moto x play, or the droid maxx 2 but both have the second tray covered. I removed the one on an x play and was able to utilize it with a different ROM.
Alright I'll try that at the store. I'm not brave enough to do it myself, but the way you talked about it, it seems as if it can happen to anybody from time to time.
I'll update the situation in a few hours. (it's Sunday so the shops open late today, 11 am right now.)

Oh, I forgot to update the thread. My bad.
Well, everything's shot to ****.
I'm in Pakistan, so I went to a number of stores and everyone refused to do anything to the phone. The last guy tried to pry it out by putting a piece of plastic (he cut a plastic screen protector) inside the tray, but no luck. Then, at the same store, another guy looked at the phone. He was actually going to try and open it, but I stopped him. Then he said it'd probably be best if I didn't try anything with the phone, and that it'd be a shame if it stopped working in the process.
After this I had a trip to Indonesia a couple of weeks ago, and there were some stores there that were supposed to be authorised Motorola repair centres, but the couple I went to, said that Moto had ended their contracts with Indonesia and so they couldn't fix the phone either.
So for the moment, I'm stuck with the jammed tray. But hey, at least the SIM works. I think I can even get a microSD card inside if I need to. But it'll have to be a big one, because I get the feeling I won't be able to remove it if I ever have to.
I hope you, or anyone else, can solve the problem and let me know, so I can fix it too.
Damn the fact that Pakistan has no Moto repair. India does! Like they're right there. Across the border. But not here. Not in Pakistan.
Hope this helped.
Sister's friend went to England, and I handed her the phone to fix; she got it done at a Carphone Warehouse outlet -- where the phone was also purchased -- in 2 mins. I have no idea what the guy did but it's definitely fixable.

My SIM tray somehow vanished into the void after i dropped it so after an hour of searching I'm calling it quits.
Anyone know if and where I can get a replacement one? I can only find one on eBay for 20 dollars.
Hey buddy. I think it will be extremely difficult to remove LCD without cracking .

You might contact Essential to see if they can sell a new tray.
You can't be the first person.
