Is it possible? For example going from the POK1 BL and modem to older ones?
Come on, you can literally type Yes/No and its done! 120 people have seen this and not ONE had 5 secs to spare?!
I have a many Problems after the Downgrade, no Samsung Firmware works no Imei only CM12.1 works. The BL and Modem COJ3...
I will make a new test this Week... Sorry for my Bad English...

After almost 2000 posts to your credit and being on XDA since 2012, everyone is probably confused as to why you're asking and why you haven't tried already.
If K1 is not a locked bootloader, like we've now seen with the COJ5, you should be able too.
I've never seen anyone post not being able to flash back to an older modem. Unless it was user error like picking the wrong one, for a different phone.

I'm just too afraid of permanently damaging my phone.
Numbers do not matter, I still learn. Sure, I know more than someone new to the community but that doesnt change the fact that I dont know everything.
The person right above you has problems with his phone now. I'm just trying to prevent that from happening to me too.
Anyway, if I flash the COJ5 bootloader, there is no going back?

Yes don't flash Coj5 to avoid stucking with 5.1.1 roms
That's all good luck

Hi,
I've seen quite a lot of threads and + the sticky not to flash and then how to flash and also what to flash which is turning out to be very confusing.
My tab now shows that everything is signed, so from the info I could gather I have the new bootloader. What can or should I falsh now and from what should I stay away ?
Tnx

If everything is signed, you're stuck with the JM series of ROMs. If you're on JMC, probably no point in changing but if you're on an earlier version, anything from JMC onwards (other than JMD!) is good.
Regards,
Dave
I'm on JMC atm, will it theoretically be possible to unsign these bootloaders ?

Your guess is as good as mine! I'm certain if there is sufficient will and effort, something will eventually be done to circumvent this. Several members of these boards are already looking into it.

Hi, im tired of waiting for Lollipop on my note 4, i have N910HXXU1ANK5 and i was thinking about flashing the other country's firmware, how much is the risk of bricking my device? i pad 800$ for this and im extremely scared! its so much compared to my previous nexus 4 on my old nexus 4 is was like fastboot unlock and tada! its a bit harder in here and i bricked my old n7000 so i rather be careful this time!
Generally how much is the risk of bricking a note 4! what could cause it! i know in general its wrong firmware but like the old n7000 factory reset on ics would kill it and which it did is there anything special like that with the note 4? just be sure too check rom versions?
and what should i do to install 910C on my 910H? what happens if i do something wrong?(soft or hardbrick?)
sorry if this thread sounds stupid, but im going to be 100% sure before i do this as i paid my whole life savings on this
thanks!
From my understanding of the 910h, it is a 3g unlocked note 4. What service are you currently running it through? I just got the lollipop update from verizon a couple of days ago. Before the update came out I got a taste of what lollipop would be like by switching my runtime in the developer options. After the update there isn't too much of a difference. Just color scheme of messaging and some animated pointer click detection and top and bottom wave animation on screen when fully at the top or bottom while scrolling. If you want to get the same performance with your apps as lollipop is running right now, simply go to developer options in your settings, then select runtime, then change from dalvik to ART. Then you won't have to worry about bricking your phone at all.

Root for my phone isn't available yet. Comes stock with knox. There's actually a bounty for a verizon and at&t root method right now, so I'm going to have to hook mine up to my Linux based computer and see what I can do. The biggest risk is of course bricking your device by installing another country. I've been rooting devices since froyo was being developed. I've bricked and unbricked a few of my own devices. Unbricking is usually not easy. Because your partition is more than likely specifically for 910h you'd have to repartition it for the 910c that you would want to install. Make sure to make a copy of the 910h partition before you start. Also copy all of the .rar, .tar, .md5 files that are on the device currently. Haven't done it for about a year myself, but if I remember correctly there are 5-7 of them. One for the modem, etc.

Lets start, its too hard on todays day to brick a device, there are a lot more work around, its not 2011 anymore, the only thing u need to be able to do right is READING, without insulting nobody if you can read then your fine, reading and following all steps on this forum is a key. You can flash anything u want on ur phone WHILE ITS MADE SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUR N910x MODEL, if ur not rooted yet, go and root it, it takes 2 minutes, remember the key READING, then you can make ur own research by reading the Development section, after u have done rooting and flashing a custom recovery, most people use TWPR, then ur good to go. If you just want a stock experience, then go to sammobile website, search ur model number, and download the stock rom, this you will have to flash it using ODIN, but like a said, by READING, you have NOTHING to worry. Remember if something happens to ur device, this is just to have it in mind,
WHILE U CAN ACCESS DOWNLOAD MODE VIA VOLUME DOWN+HOME+POWER, YOU ARE SAFE MY FRIEND, GOOD LUCK

Hi after flashing a rom not on xda my phone's IMEI became erased. unfortunately the EFI backup that I had wouldn't fix either. I tried going back to stock using SmartSwitch emergency recovery. Still no fixes.
Please help my phone cannot use cellular service!
Any idea Im all ears. I tried various methods for older Galaxys around the xda, none worked.
I know my IMEI and S/N how can I fix it.
Please help!!!!

With all do respect.... I don't think he was bashing anyone....he was just saying he flashed a ROM that wasn't posted to XDA...more than likely there wasn't any other option to ask for help elsewhere since XDA is very helpful with responses from developers and others.
I was wondering if anyone that is overseas (outside america) could share an EFI backup partition with me so I can fix my phone. Maybe that would fix.
keep watching the echorom thread someone else had the issue as well.
I cant they banned me from seeing their forum when I reported the bug.
O I see. If something gets posted that might help I'll let you know. But 1 thing I saw already is trying to flash multiple times with Odin
It might not work the first time. Or the second... or the third. Try like 10 times in the mean time until someone can help. If all else fails there has to be a way to make a working imei again since you know it anyway

write stock rom
This happened to me before in a old Tmobile S3 (T999) I had only edge network...
It was a headache and I was only able to put it back working going to a store that had BOX for flashing and do it myself with their box
and rewrite my IMEI manually during flash, as they were not able to do it (more say didn't have patience) .
I dunno if there is a easier way to do it... but this was how I fixed mine back then. But one thing is true, I lost a lot of time back then trying to fix it and if it happens me now again I would do a quick search and if not quick solution, try to find a guy that owns a box as it will literally save you days and sleep. However there are excellent devs around so they might be able to help..

Would u have any suggestions on where I could go to fix?
Quick question. What csc is in your phone now? Have to tried changing it again with a new one or the one that was originally on it when you got it? Like a flashable zip? Cos it looks like somehow the one you used must corrupt something in the efs... which is bizzare

I went to local store that usually unlocks/fixes phones, but I had a friend connection around.. hence they allowed me to go inside and do it myself.
Try to search 1st around if there is a solution, as it might be... I can't remember how it happened to my phone, but I was flashing lots of ROM without a problem and then it happened for some reason. There is a reason for it, however I couldn't find it as my knowledge is limited. I do remember that I tried, stock, odin, kies, whatever... and nothing worked until I went to try with a BOX.
IF you can't find a quick solution try to search around physical stores that flash phones, as they usually have a BOX and probably they might pull the S7 image already for their box... try to search a friendly one and take the purchase papers with you as most are not very comfortable with anything that might involve IMEI if you odn't know anybody.

It was the German based CSC
G935FDBT1APC5
However I flashed back STOCK which has
G935FNZC1APAX
The bizzare thing is my phone appears to still get a signal, but emergency calls only. When I #06# It shows 00000000000000 for 2 MEIDs. Which is weird as I don't have a dual sim model. This is even after Odin stock, no root.

Fair enough, I still have the original purchase, I got it from overseas, receipt, and sticker still on the phone. Even the box. at the same time i was wondering if anyone overseas, (not in the usa) would be willing to backup EFS and PM me with a G935F because I could use that meid in the usa. I have no intentions of going overseas to Europe anytime soon but I might go abroad if its oceana or Asia.

You're welcome to try but I'm pretty sure you need to flash the kernel too. Which you can't do.
Indeed. Just wondering if it has been tried yet...that kind of thing.
No you can not flash CM13 on the S7 with a locked bootloader.
Sent from my SM-G935U using XDA Premium HD app
As the dev, ask samsung to unlock your bootloader. Than sure you can install it
Lololol ask Samsung to unlock the bootloader
Don't worry... I will try it and let you know.... Like everything else Downloading now...need a break from the Engineer/BL hack I am doing
Actually... This might go hand in hand with what I am alredy working on.. I will hold on the blind flash right now because just thinking of the simple surface mechanisms, it won't work. BUT IF... I can get done what I am doing, then it might just work... And hell if I can get it to where we can flash roms with Flashfire and saying f-it to a custom recovery which would be possible without encryption and verity and all of that crap.. then that is a score in my book.. Just dev off of the CHN stuffs and flash through FF
We look forward to your offerings.

Hi all masters,
I need help here. I live in Malaysia, this was a present an under US Cellular carrier. So I wish to change the firmware to the SM-G935F one. Is it possible? The specs should be the same right?
No, you can't. You could brick your phone flashing it.

If it has same CPU(In this case Exynos) then yes. But after googling it, it seems that the G935R4 has snapdragon. So do not flash anything. It shouldn't brick Your device as I've done a lot worse things lol. But nothing will work so don't do that.
