Hello,
I do not find which version of Xposed I should install on 2.2.0 to have access on app permission ?
My Google Play Service is pumping too much battery, and I would like to remove some permission, as "keep awake" ....
If someone could point me in right direction ?
Thanks
To avoid battery draining from Google Play services, I recommend getting the donator version of Amplify.
With Amplify you can block Wakelocks and Alerts for specific amout of times.
There is a huge thread about this here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-extreme-battery-life-t3095884
Xposed does not give you app permission access on its own - it is merely a framework. As far as which version of Xposed the OP2 uses, install SDK22 for the ARM64.
Once you have that, download, install, and activate Amplify in Xposed, then go read the topic linked by @GerRudi.

Doesn't the oxygen ROM itself can manage app permissions in the settings?!?

Yes, and fairly well. Xposed apps DO give more control, though. Amplify, for instance, will let you delay wakeups to every 15 minutes or so, instead of simply turning them on or off.

I rooted my phone using the only avaliable exploit root out currently and was playing around with an app called Du Battery Saver.
I noticed there was an option for controlling the CPU and making it lower while in lock-screen but it needs root permissions.
I have SuperUser and I have tried opening it up, but currently there is 2 apps I am using that are in the list and where ever I go I can't seem to find a way to grant root permissions to this app. Usually when I open the app, it just asks if I want to grant permission to it.. but this one just won't and no google search is helping me out at all.. no info on it whatsoever.
----------
Also off-topic, but I have Next Launcher installed and was wondering if there is a workaround when you restart the phone and it asks which application you want to use for the home screen button, I've google searched it and it seems its like a pretty annoying problem.
I was maybe thinking of deleting Easy Launcher and ToughWiz home so that it defaults to Next Launcher automatically. Would that be possible or would I brick it?
Tell me some more about your phone model etc...

Is SuperUser updated to the latest and its binaries as well?
It's a Samsung Galaxy 4S SGH-I337, the AT&T version
I'm actually not sure how to update SuperUser, it was installed when I used the MotoChopper exploit, here is the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252248
I looked it up on the playstore and it just said installed, no option to update or anything.
no options to update within the superuser app either.

ok, I know this is a very late reaction. But I googled this thread because I had the same problem with root permission for Du Battery Saver.
The solution is simple:
You have to activate SuperSu in settings first.
Then when you go to Du Battery and activate Lower CPU frequency you can automatically activate root ...
Hope this makes sense and is mayby of use to other people with same issue.
Bye

bro I appreciate your quick response, and im here breaking my head, can you specify what kind of settings? if I go to SuperSu settings I don't see any option to enable the apps or something, and I really want this app the ask for root permission
I've looked it up, can't tell you exactly anymore where you had to enable Supersu as I don't have it on my new smartphone yet (OPO).
But I found this website with a bit of explanation. sorry can't help you any further. replace the 'dot' by a dot and 'slash' by a real slash as I'm not allowed to post outside links

good luck
If you want to save battery I recommend Greenify over DU battery saver for rooted devices.
Im having the same problem using supersu pro 2.40 du battery saver 3.9.6.5 note 3 n900 lollipop v5
There is no settings in the su as before to provoke permission what should we do
Please help

If you have battery issues you probably have wakelocks. The key is to figure out what those are and eliminate them. I recommend betterbatterystats from the play store. Also read this as a starting point http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31974989

If you don't have a clue about what you are talking about, move along and don't make us waste our time with crap! You don't have any reason to brandish your utopian and pathetic "expertise" here! Does anybody have a REAL solution or at least an answer to why this is not working?
As the title says. I've tried greenify and feel like it never works. Any other ideas? Battery has been not the greatest and think it's just apps constantly waking my phone up. Want to prevent that.
You could look into power nap or naptime.

Tried naptime. Doesn't really work though cause those services keep the device from even being able to go into doze. Will try power nap. Have to download xposed first.
Do you know where xposed file is that we need for our nexus 6p?

Might want to try greenify again then if you weren't using xposed, as you can do more with it; and use the arm64 version.

Same here. Seems to be a problem with that specific version. There are a few other posts, all very recent, from people complaining about it.
...
Glad I am not alone... If you find any fix post it here please.

The fix will have to come from Google. This has happened before, we just have to wait until they release a fix. I opted for using Amplify (an Xposed Framework module) to block the wakelock, but that's not a fix anyway.
Thank you Adrianrff!
I have blocked SchedulerReceiver and SchedulerInternalReceiver services in MyAndroidTools seams it helped...

I do not know if it has any impact on system or functionality of google apps.
I tried to install xposed 2.5.1 but after Amplify module installation I have many FC cant even get in system settings.
What version of xposed do you use?

Greenify uses accessibility settings. Disable them and the lag will go away. Unfortunately Greenify won't work properly if at all, so you have to decide which is more important to you: no lag or battery life.
An article posted on the portal over the weekend talked about lag caused by accessibility settings. Greenify was featured.

How to install Xposed on your Snapdragon S8+
I want to thank the man @elliwigy for making root happen!
I also want to thank @ErnyTech for making Xposed happen also!
Now it's time to share how to install this bad boy on Snapdragon S8+
First, you will need is flash fire and root to make this work!
Make sure you download these files to get Xposed to work people it's an easy way to work
1.https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=25965
2.https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B8N7MRg8VIZRMVN5eFVEdGdoaFU
Make sure you get the updated version for link number 1
Installed apk first then in flash fire make you put Android Nougat SDK24 7.0 into the flash zip or ota section
MAKE SURE! you dont check auto-mount and mount/system read/then just hit the check on the top right corner
After let it do its magic and hit flash and ones it boots back up Xposed should be working

Well, I'm officially getting old I guess...
Was hoping to see if root cloak works and I see that hasn't been supported for a while. So, I went ahead and uninstalled using the uninstaller.zip arm64 for sdk 24, most recent version.
Anyone wondering;
Uninstalling, for me, went just as easy as installing.
Sounds like everything, for 7.0+ is still in beta/testing by rovo so do all this at your own risk.

I don't see the point in uninstalling because root clock doesn't work though, eitherway you can't use Knox or SafetyNet so might as well have Xposed.
Also there is another module called No Device Check which lets you use simpler apps like Snapchat, Mario Run, Pokemon GO etc... no Android Pay though.
