Does the Nvidia Shield TV support EXT2, 3, or 4?
As far as I can tell none of the above

Possible using a custom ROM will allow other formats

Yeah, some of the custom ROMs may have a kernel that supports it already, haven't tried
But you could build your own too

Figured I'd make the I formation a little more available as this was buried in a thread.
A bootable Asus Transformer port of the latest Galaxy 10.1 rom with touchwiz. Needs some TLC. Currently has no working wifi or rotation sensors.
Lets get this cooking. I am no dev, only looking to make this public here on xda. The current dev is done with it and too busy to continue. Any other devs able to whip something up with this?
Problems:
Constant Battery Temp Warning every few minutes
Wifi does not work (can work by using Rom 1.0.2 + #16 kernel)
GSensor does not work (rotation widget helps)
Camera does not work
No Graceful shutdown (long press power to turn off)
List of Donators to make this happen
Player911 - $20
haensgn - $10
Anonymous - $100
Husher - $15
How to Flash
You'll need to download both, the Galaxy Rom port and a Transformer Kernel, to a microSD card. You'll have to flash via ClockWorkMod Recovery.
Working WiFi works using Galaxy Rom 1.0.2 + Version 16 of Clemsyn's Kernel.
Galaxy Rom Port:
Galaxy Rom 1.0.4
Galaxy Rom 1.0.2 (Required for working WiFi)
Kernels:
Clemsyn Version 17 (didn't enable WiFi for me)
OR
Clemsyn Version 16 (Required for working WiFi)
Instructions
Throw the rom and kernel to the microSD card and boot into Clockworkmod Recovery (Start with TF off. Hold Vol-Down and Power. Then Vol-Up at Logo)
Perform a Nandroid Backup
Factory Reset
Flash zip from SD > Select Galaxy Rom
Flash zip from SD > Kernel
Reboot.
Enjoy.
Donate to Clemsyn for his Kernels

Is someone working on the wifi issue? I mean has someone taken to the challenge
Once the port is successful, will it include the video drivers/codecs that the samsung galaxy 10.1 tab has?

Build q is not to good, but i guess with a case i don't need to see it.
The 3.1 android is way to slow.
Lets see what can be done.

Yeah we are in some desperate need of some real ROMs! The Dev'n has slowed down a lot
Hopefully Doc you can work some real magic. You're right Ive noticed 3.1 seems slow. I know I know nobody wants to hear it, but lately my iPad 2 is looking better and better. I dunno nobod has nailed it yet, but I hear the new Toshiba Tablet might just be the one. Honeycomb needs some real help
better than 3.1?

You will need a gingerbread GAPPS http://goo.im/gapps//gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip. Since you will be moving from JB to GB you probably should wipe dalvik and data. Back up your apps and data with Titanium Backup before proceding,
I also am running 10.2, would love to have usb host support. So is this hopeless? I've haven't checked here in a while, wondered if maybe a kernel patch had made it to the masses for the newer roms...

Good info, thanks. To be honest, I'm amazed we've come this far with these old devices.
Does anyone have any back-up ROMS with USB Host supporting? My NC with dead touch screen, I need a USB mouse support CM to make it alive. Thanks.

I don't know personally about this platform, but what I read about the Qualcomm SOC seemed to say that the chipset supports actual USB 2.0 host and not just OTG (Actually OTG was not mentioned on the page). If any is implemented in this phone I have no clue
Cheers!

Hi,
Are there any newer roms (MM or N7 etc) where you can still use the Hdmi cable to show your screen on monitor or TV like note 4 does?
I keep going back to note 4 roms because newer roms seem to have it taken out.
Is it just a case of flashing the required file or more complicated than that?
Thanks.

Meant to say "it" autospell haha.
Its not software related so it should work regardless of custom ROM or not.

I'm not saying i know for sure. But the rom shouldn't matter.
But the kernel might! The kernel would have more to do with this than the rom.
Maybe try flashing a stock kernel that'll work with the rom you use. Or as long as it's built from stock.
I'm no dev. But from what i do know, this seems most logical.
