Milestone2 use OTG

Hello , everyone
I use the ROM by czechop's Yet another CM10.2

and I try to replace the \system\bootmenu\2nd-boot\zImage from SlugZero's Kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46979380&postcount=137
then the phone can use the OTG and without any external power supply
like USB Flash Drives ........................
but because the kernel is for DEFY , so something like camera will not work.
Hope developers can compile it to our kernel

Just for test.It could be dangerous to use OTG on milestone2.
So use it on your own risk!!!

I don't think so. I guess you need a rom with aero kernel. But i'm far from beeing an expert. So maybe it's worth a try. Make a backup try it and report if it works.

yes I even use the Cm11 rom, but the battery does not last long and 3G is half bad!
so I will test other older roms (CM7, angerstone, ginger) so I can use the 3G. I just wanted to support OTG too!

OTG isn't supported on older ROMs.

G900F kernel on a G900I phone?

I'm just wondering if it's possible to flash a G900F on a G900I phone, as they pretty much have identical hardware. As I'm about to buy a S5 and I can get a G900I cheaper.

It would be not very advisable. Otherwise you could damage your phone

Once you get your s5 just give me a PM of the link of the kernel you wanted and I'll port it to G900I for you. It's easy anyways so no problem with that.
As long as it's only kernel and not ROMs I can do it for you

Could u please port a g900f kernel to a g900i. I want to port the boeffla kernel (which is only available for a g900f device) to g900i device (kltedv) ty in advance

Nope thts only support tw sammy rom only.....you may see the post android original development..notify ur version klte support

OTG kernel

Hello
I compiled i9300i kernel for support otg.
Otg is support but wifi not work
Orginal kernel wifi is work
Please help me.

Upload 9300 source and copy of boot.img from stock rom on a cloud and give me the link to download the source, I'll develop custom stock kernel also for it. Download source from samsung is really hard (10kb/s on a 100Mb fiber!)
Please after this find me a couple of testers

I don't think it's possible as the usb port does not supply dc current.
If you want to know if otg possible on a device or not, just connect a usb otg cable and plug a flash disk with led. If led turned on install stickmount
our e7 unfortunately does not support otg

Unfortunately, you can't.
The microUSB port on E-Series doesn't support host mode, only client.

hey anything its possible . i had a sony live with walkman and its not support otg but developers made a kernel for it and i break its bootloader and flashed a new kernel and then worked great . and now E7 is new and maybe cooked a new kernel for it by developers . dont be hopeless

maybe ur right . developers have too busy and they cook custom rom and kernel for devices with the most request

Download the lineage custom rom......
It will guarrante supports...
I already tested.....
Trust me.....

Dow the OTG work with Lineage OS ? what version? A screenshot of proof and link to Rom thread please.

I'm pretty sure I've not disabled any otg/usb stuff. So it should be like stock kernel in that regard.

Yes it worked with stock oreo
Even now when i switch to stock it starts working...but after flashing alpha oreo the phone no more detects usbotg
