g900v BootLoop/Wizard loop after factory reset! PLEASE HELP! - Verizon Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, so i just tried doing a factory reset on my phone. Now the phone boots into the setup wizard loop stating ''please wait while we prepare your phone''. It never seems to finish preparing so theres definitely something wrong.
The phone was running a pre-rooted g900v stock OE1 with an OD5 bootloader that I had flashed using the flashfire method months ago.
The instruction are in this link http://www.droidviews.com/install-l...sm-g900v-keep-root-and-enable-wifi-tethering/.
I removed sim and sdcard and did factory reset again from recovery with no help.
I attempted to flash both pre-rooted OE1 and OG5 but Odin keeps returning FAIL!
I am still able to get into recovery and download mode luckily but I really don't know how else to get passed this wizard loop.
Please someone help me.

Thank you for responding so quickly.
Unfortunately, the links for the OC4 rooted link in the thread you shared me does not work. I attempted to flash the ncg_full_odin and the g900v_downgrade_to_ncg and both returned fail in ODIN.
If you have any other sources for the file or any other ideas it would be greatly appreciated. I hope this is fixable......

Yes, that file!
ODIN fails after ''NAND write start!'' step.
It is a .rar file so tried both converting to .tar with 7z application and just manually renaming to .tar. neither worked though.

[Q] Cant flash custom recovery on i9506 with stock 5.0.1

I have a i9506 with the official 5.0.1 rom, and due to my device becoming ridicilously slow after flashing the official rom, I want to try an alternative rom. I have tried flashing custom recovery to root my phone, using Odin 3.0.9 and Odin 3.10, I have tried flashing CWM_6.0.4.6_Non-Touch_GT-I9506 and Philz_Touch__CWM_6.3.7_V5.15.0_unofficial_(fixed_preload), but the phone just reboots like nothing happened, and the knox flag is 0x0.
Odin 3.10 says:

Usually you have to root your phone first, then flash the custom recovery.
try this auto root.

Incorrect.
Root has nothing to do with a custom recovery. It are two completely separate things. You never need to be rooted to flash a custom recovery.
You probably just need to uncheck auto-reboot before flashing.
I always rooted before flashing a custom recovery.
And in every guide it said that I have to be rooted first. Or it just gave me that impression..

A binary has no relevance on a separate partition
Rooting before flashing a custom recovery is not required

Yes, guide makers tend to do that. But it's never needed.
I did a noob mistake, I pressed power, home and volume down. When I pressed power, home and volume up, it worked. Thank you for the feedback!

System stuck of Open Padlock

After installation of the safestrap.i by mistake wipe the system and restart the device. after restart the device stuck on the open padlock, i cannot go back to recovery but the odin download work. i try to install the mf2 tar through odin but everytime it fails i cant able to find the mf3 tar file as all links are dead. if their is another options please let me know. or we can safestrap through odin anything.

It's failing with the aboot.mbn file because the rom is not meant for the phone or the bootloader on the phone is newer than the bootloader being flashed via Odin.
It appears that the phone has a locked bootloader and AT&T never released a full firmware after 4.2.2, only ota updates.

Hi,
Too less info from you to give you reliable answer.
What's your phone model?
What version of recovery did you try to flash and where did you get it from?
It might be several reasons for your issue like:
- wrong/incompatible recovery for your phone;
- corrupted download;
- locked bootloader (depending on your phone model);
etc

G870A
TWRP 3.1.1 KLTE - twrp.me
I followed the LineageOS guide, and I doubt it's the wrong recovery.
The md5 seemed to match on the TWRP file as well. I wouldn't know if it would have a locked bootloader, either.

Hi,
As far as I know AT&T s5 phones (G900A and G870A) come with locked bootloaders by default which prevents your phone from installing any custom firmware. You might need a so called safestrap recovery.
Anyway I advice you to ask more about that on AT&T s5 dedicated forum:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/help

Help got stuck on download mode and i think lcd is broken,

Tried to flash latest gtaxlwifi for my 8.1 Oreo Galaxy Tab A 10.1 SM-T580,
after Odin finished, i encountered a problem. The device didn't respond to the power button, so i can go to the recovery for the first time.
After many tries, i managed to get it back to download mode. After that, i tried to go the recovery and my screen showed some red bars, like the lcd is all messed up.
Putting it back to download mode, the screen works fine.
What should i do, please help me.
The LCD isn't bad if download screen is good. May have some how flashed wrong firmware

thats the bootloader telling you your flashing older firmware than whats on the device hence trying to downgrade which isnt possible obviously with that error download a newer firmware with a bit 4 because your device is bit 4 nd your flashing bit 3
Managed to flash an older twrp. Tablet saved.
But when i tried to install a wifi version (that's the correct for me), it said error 7 u have the LTE version (not true) and you try to install a wifi version.
A tweak with Notepad++ did the job.
oXydead - I have the same issue - which old verison of TWRP worked for you?
Not to worry - found your comments in "[Recovery][T580] Official TWRP for Galaxy Tab A 10.1 WiFi 2016 (gtaxlwifi) by jcadduono"
Thanks
you can fix it:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78478237&postcount=573
for Oreo (8.1) use the last Odin 3.13.1
