hi,
I'm looking to buy a couple of smartwatches which can run Android Wear apps, so that I can use them for development. This effectively means play store access (out of the box or rooted). A big, big pro would be BLE.. but not mandatory.
Does anyone know which watch is the cheapest out there ? I'm not looking for coolness, battery life, etc. Basically, it will be used chiefly for android dev.
the original LG G Watch should be the cheapest, or at least it is here (in the Netherlands), the Gear Live is very close to it
there are only 6 AW watches available right now
-LG G Watch
-LG G Watch R
-Moto 360
-Asus ZenWatch
-Samsung Gear Live
-Sony Smartwatch 3
Ok so im looking at buying a sony smart watch 2 and im told if i put android wear on my iphone that the watch will work with my iphone 6 plus? can anyone confirm this please? kind regards steve.
The Sony Smartwatch 2, does not run Android Wear so no the iPhone will not work.
The Sony SmartWatch 3, does run Android Wear and that would work.
smartwatch 2 is only for android smartphones (runs a proprietary sony os on the watch ) so wont work with iphones, the 3rd gen of the sony smartwatch should work like astro said earlier as it runs android wear . so far i find using android wear on ios is relatively limited in its uses , compared to using it on a android smartphone.
I downloaded Andronium OS Beta and installed it to my phone. Requirements say it needs at least 2GB of RAM, but as you may know this phone only has one. I decided to try it anyways, and it actually seemed to work fairly well. I don't have a Chromecast, so I used Screen Stream Mirroring and Mobizen Mirroring to view the screen on my 15.6" Windows 7 Laptop. I can't control it with those apps, so I just used my phone screen.
Moto E 2nd Gen LTE on CM13.
Good job, I will try in my Moto G 2013

While there are plenty of listings on YouTube for how to convert Android OS apps to Fire OS, there isn't much for the other way around. I know there used to be a thread for this, but it hasn't been updated in a long time. I had used a modded version of Watch TVG (now Fanduel Plus) to watch horse racing in glorious HD (for some reason, the website version of TVG only shows SD streams, and my cable operator only has SD, for the main TVG, and no TVG2 ...) but it stopped working ... was told I needed to update to the newest version, which I of course couldn't. Now that Fanduel Plus will also be offering international basketball leagues in addition to horse racing, the app seems more attractive than ever ... but no good on Android TV, unlike Fire TV, Roku, or Apple TV. If anyone has this app modded to work on Android TV (or any Android version, for that matter) , or a how to to on how to covert between the two similiar, but different, formats, that would be great.
