I guys. few days ago I decided to repair the broken glass of my Nexus 4 from my self.
I bought the kit display + touch screen on Amazon and was clearly not the original LG component.
I have replaced the piece without problems, the display lights up, the smartphone battery is recharged, and can start using the bootloader mode and the recovery without problems.
The only problem is that it does not start and does not charge Android. It remains fixed on the boot screen for hours without shutting down.
After a quarter of an hour that the display is turned on in the boot screen begins to heat the upper part near the front camera but nothing too worrying.
DO You think might be a software problem or the problem is definitely the new display?
THANKS FOR HELP ME

Did your phone work perfectly before you broke the glass/replaced the screen? What I would suggest is try unplugging all the flex cables, antenna cable and then reconnect making sure you have reconnected everything properly.

Yes mohsinkhan35 My phone work perfectly before and after i broke the Glass but I had decided to change the glass because the cracks prevented me from properly use the touch.
I have already reassembled the Nexus 3 times with new display but no works. now I have refitted the old broken display and so I want to see if the Android system start or stuck on boot animation.

Sorry to hear! Any updates? It definitely looks like a hardware problem.
Cheers Guys. I solved the problem. It was not hardware but was a softbrick. After a dalvik wipe all work perfectly.

Nicee! Although weird that changing screen would cause that problem but glad to hear that your phone is working again

Congrats! How is the new display working? Do you see any difference in that compared to the original display?
How much did it cost you?

My original phone had it, my RMA doesn't, but as the other poster mentioned it's a HUGE gamble with RMA units. If this one starts doing it, ad continues to get worse, I'll take my phone apart and glue all the junk that they didn't properly glue at the factory.
But you mean it is no problem until I dont play with it and move up down like lightswitcher? OR you request a RMA Unit because of this Problem....
Its only this defect, no one more

My original, moved very slightly, and creaked a lot. That wasn't the reason for the RMA, but I'm happy its gone.

Hi,
I recently repaired an S4 by replacing the screen/midframe. I noticed it makes a strange noise kind of like something is burning, on some occassions it does go to the samsung logo then boots back up, so it's like there's a short somewhere. it sounds like it's coming from the charging port but I can't think why.
Now, there's quite a few issues already with the phone. the sim card reader does not work, the volume up button does not work, the wifi and bluetooth does not work and the phone does have warranty until next year.
here's a video of the noise:

is it possible I could replace this under warranty? I know I have replaced parts but Apple usually will replace the phone if there is still a fault on their end
Hello,
You repaired by yourself or through an authorized center?

I repaired the phone myself, it was only the LCD and mid frame which has been replaced. My friend has taken an iPhone 5s into Apple for warranty which had a full rehousing and LC D and they only rejected it because of a new battery. I have done the repair many times myself, it's possibly the easiest LCD replacement possible on a phone so I can't understand where this noise is coming from. Prior to this, the phone was absolutely destroyed, bent in half in some places and the glass of the LCD was actually peeling off, but the phone was still recognized by the PC and you can see no damage to the logic board
bump please somebody

Please don't bump a thread if are not yet passed at least 24 hours, modify your previous post (xda rule)
What device do you have and what screen you bought? Remember that display controller is different among some S4 devices

i just want to know why it makes a burning noise, i can't figure out why it does
bumpppppp
It's probably the screen making the noise. You can try it by disconnecting the screen and then power on your phone.
Oh I read you have more issues. Is it water damaged or something?

No, it was smashed real bad. I had another screen and it did the same issue.
Hello there. So, this is my issue: yesterday I used my phone while it was raining really hard, it get a few raindrops during the night LCD screen shut down and I wasn't able to make it work again. Actually the phone is laying in a bowl full of rice(I heard it should work to reduce humidity, hope it could work ). What else can I do before to send it back to assistance ?

If it already shorted out, I'm afraid you'll have to get a replacement. Just let the phone sit for a day in the rice, and then try if it works. If it doesn't, send it back.
Hi guys,
after a drop, my front camera broke (see attached file), anyone knows where I can find a spare part for the Zuk, or where I can get a repair..? I'm in Italy.
I broke the screen, unfornately nothing official for now for the replacement..
Maybe there is some warranty on some of these problems and you can get the phone replaced?

Sadly, warranty doesn't include drop-related damages.. [emoji21]

I've seen them but firstly I have the grey one, so there isn't any replacement of the grey version online, secondly II don't think they are official, they have different prices.. I think I will just wait and then send it to Lenovo and eventually pay for the replacement.
Ho visto che sei italiano ma ho preferito rispondenti in inglese che cosi magari anche qualcun'altro potesse rispondermi ?
Anyone have this problem? And how to fix this?
This is a known problem of S7 wich lots of my friends had too. It's becouse your display is going to unpin from the motherboard for some drops for example. It's covered by warranty so don't worry
