Xiaomi Redmi note 2 grouding problem - Redmi Note 2 General

Check this out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFlQanjTJ2I
Just put your phone on a non conductive object like a piece of leather and check if the touchscreen is responding.
I don't know if I'm the only one or if it's just a poor build quality phone (Black Redmi Note 2 prime).

Sorry but i can't understand, please be more clear.
Are you saying that touch works also with leather? So where is the problem? It works also with cotton! This winter you can use glowes without buy touch ones

No problems on my phone

New Owner

I am new owner of a Redmi Note 3 Pro (Snappdragon), yet to arrive. I bought it from Fastcardtech who are running a promotion at USD 150. I choose in between the Coolpad Charger C1, Leeco Le 2 and this. Why I decided in favour of the Note 3 Pro? SD-Card, micro-sim tray, headphone jack, flat rear side with no sticking out camera lens, better speaker, lesser bulky black display frame. I did like as well the Elephone M3 actually preferred it in some ways, but not it's sloppy build quality and buggy firmware.
I think the Coolpad / Leeco models might be slightly faster but the Note 3 Pro still holds up well in the upper middle range.
Very busy at the moment reading through all the threads. If you have any essential reading tips I am all ear.

S Pen Hard Touch?

Hello uhmm I've just noticed something weird with my galaxy note 3 s-pen, the tip is not so sensitive unlike in my Note 1 and Note 4 S-Pens. What I mean is that it needs more pressure on the screen to be able to use it. I've tried using it on my note 4 but it really needs more pressure. Yeah it still works fine but it's just really annoying, I can't use it very well. Sorry for my bad english.
Hi, here is a link with video on You tube:
I try this tweak and working fine on my note 3.
Have you changed your pen tip .
N4 pen is much more sensitive then N3.

Anyone recommend a case for my redmi 2?

Title says all, I want something elegant and discrete
SLIMARMOR. Heavy case.
Go for Shock proof case its good.

Redmi Note 7/pro Bend and Break

Hey guys..
Give me some insights on redmi note 7/pro bend and break.
Even jerryrig bent it easily.
Pro version launched at an incredible price in India but this bend thing is only deal breaker for me right now.
Plz help guys. Really love this phone.
Believe me !
It's not a deal breaker.
If it was, then Apple would have gone bankrupt (6s incident)
There's no way you're going to band your phone this much in real life.
Bend test doesn't portray any real life application, T.G himself said this in his video sometime ago (before he got paid by Samsung ?)
Besides it got GG5 on both front and back and is strong as hell.
You can even break avocados with it and it'll survive and that is incredible (no joke)
You'll never have to deal with a broken display because you accidentally dropped your phone
Yes it bent for me slightly
I have been using redmi note 7 for more than a month. Last week I noticed the phone is very slightly bent near the low volume button. It's not noticeable easily. But you can see when you observe closely.

Put the motherboard of the mi9t pro in a mi9t

Hi, I would like to put the motherboard of my mi9t pro with broken display in a mi9t that I took used. Can I replace only the motherboard or should I also replace the charging board and other components?
Disassemble and see if the LCD is the same, if so, just replace screen - I did that before in Samsung, HTC, Apple, Huawei.
Replace all components... Main camera sensor is better, has laser focus, faster charge port and etc
So could I just buy replacement parts for a PRO and upgrade my non pro model?

No because these parts needs snapdragon 855.

Easier to sell and buy the Pro version.. You would only keep the frame, front camera and Screen.
I replaced all the cards, the pro also has an additional board to connect the GPS antenna (the pro has two gps). Everything works well, but I had to swap the heat pipes which are different between the pro and the normal one. I don't know if it would turn on the same but the pro's battery cable has two tracks at the top (the normal one has one)

Do you have pictures or video? It might help some people..
I leave you some photos that I took with only the disassembled motherboard of the pro. I had to reassemble it today to replace the thermal double-sided tape that when the heat pipe is dismantled it gets damaged (in fact I had too high temperatures). I did not have to replace the heat pipe of the normal mi9t as it has not been damaged.

Did it work?
I have a dead mi 9t (motherboard) I want to fix with a 9t pro (broken lcd).
Were you able to make it work?

did it work? I got my Mi 9T damaged on the board level (overheating and keeps rebooting over and over). I already tried every ROM flash I could do and rule out other components, which led me to the motherboard being the culprit. Planning to slap on a mi 9t pro motherboard I will buy online. Please let me know if it worked, and if what had to be done to make it work

never mind. The Mi 9T chassis and parts surely does work just fine when you slap on a Mi 9T Pro motherboard in there. You just need to replace the main camera for it to work. Do in mind though that by swapping in a pro motherboard into a non-pro chassis will not give you Dual GPS, and probably a little more heat output (A lot more if you happened to receive the Pro Premium 855+ variant). However, it would be a very clean swap if you can find the necessary parts to make all these features work.
The parts that will need replacing to make it like a Mi 9T Pro:
1. Main Camera and Telephoto Module (otherwise, you wont be able to open camera app). Wide angle camera doesn't need replacing.
2. GPS board, Speaker Module for the Pro variant, Antenna cable (for the Dual GPS)
3. *Optional* Mid frame and Graphite Heatsink (if you can find one). I myself had to replace my mid frame and then cut myself a 0.5mm copper plate.
4. *Optional* Super AMOLED display and flex cable (only make a swap when you absolutely need it. My replacement OLED screen works just fine except for confusing my taps sometimes as glide typing, but it also does this on my plain Mi 9T board).
But if you only want to make a plain motherboard swap, you'll only need to replace the Main camera and telephoto module. The rest are pretty much plug and play, just make sure to apply a generous amount of thermal paste so you wont overheat by that much. Been using my phone this way for about a week now and so far no problems.
EDIT 12/23/22: You don't need to replace the charging port and charging flex and batteries. They all still work fine without replacing. I'm using a 33W charger with Scene5 monitoring the charger output and I can say it's sending 27W to my phone without problems (but I had to replace my batteries when I destroyed it trying to install multiple batteries).
