That's the question! I have MXP right now, great phone, but I thing I like AMOLED screen more... like a hundred bucks
No way, keep the Moto X. You'll see the first time you try to use the N6 outdoors. Also, the camera sucks on the N6 when compared to the Moto X. But hey, the choice is yours!

Damn cat knocked my N6 off a table and shattered the screen yesterday and I am exactly in the same boat. I just don't know which to buy. If there are any Moto X Pure users in here coming from an N6 I would love to hear your arguments on this.

The fact that the MXP is "newer" and has, mostly, better specs would haunt me if I got a N6. I wanted a N6 so bad just before I heard of the MXP, but after I read the specs on the MXP I was glad I waited to get it.
If I got a N6, it would "bother" me that there was a similar, better phone out.
Former N6 user. I loved the device, but I switched because the camera was useless for videos (OK for photos) and lack of storage space (64 GB is not available locally and even that isn't enough storage so microSD is a must).

I came from the N6 the Mxp. The screen is better on the N6, also battery life. The Mxp feels great in the hand, despite having a big screen and I can operate it one handed, couldn't do that on the N6. I had the 32gb version N6, so I filled it up fast with music and other media. I had to stream content a lot which used up a lot of data. I also didn't like using the cloud, because it depends on a strong data connection. The Mxp solved this problem with the sd card slot. Popped in my 64gb card and ended all the cloud stuff and streaming. Call quality is better on the Mxp, I can hear people better and clearly. On the N6, I had to sometimes turn the volume all the way up to hear. The speakers on the Mxp are phenomenal. Through the headset they sound great with my beats headphones. The headset quality on the N6 wasn't good. Overall I like both phones, your choice will depend on how you use phone storage wise and if you like Amoled vs. LCD.
Let's wait and see how much for the new Nexus 6P next week, especially the 64GB and 128GB versions.

That's for the lowest model of the Moto X Pure. If you compare 32gb versions, it'll be N6 $300 vs MXP $450. Cause apps these days, 16gb wont cut it for long.

This was a VERY good comparison. I was not at all happy with the Nexus. I used it for a week and was over it. For me the Moto X is the way to go.

Yeah, I think I'll keep MXP (N6 was for $300 on ebay last night!). However, I owned N6 before and I was spoiled with AMOLED, which is not as bright as MXP though. MXP is superior by far. I love sd card slot and how fast it is overall. I only hate that you lose warranty once you unlock bootloader. But for me root is a must. Included wall charger charges with supersonic speeds.
I am trying to make this decision now but between the 64GB Nexus 6 for $370 or my MXP which once I factored in tax, a memory card and and everything came out to be about $530 (32GB, wood back, 64GB card microsd). I am wondering if the $160 difference is worth it. I may go check out a Nexus at the mall.
I think you should wait until tomorrow for google to announce the new Nexus 6 before making a decision. That phone may be in your price range and significantly better than the old Nexus 6.

I changed my mind and I'm returning MPX. Battery life sucks, no wireless charging and my Aukey quick charger is not working with Moto. No Band 12 for T-Mobile is not a big deal, no sd card as well (I can live with 32GB). AMOLED is better for Moto Display. Returning mine tomorrow to Best Buy. Keeping N6 and waiting for cheaper N6P Na zdrowie!
I have both phones the MXP is like the N6s little brother not quite as good as big brother the battery sucks I have had many phones the battery will never get better. Signal strength(4G) is not as good close but no cigar which may get fixed with new radio but I wouldn't hold my breath. Unless the new N6 is a super phone the old N6 is still the best phone out there. The Note 4 is a excellent phone but lack of development killed it.
The N6 is simply too big for me. The form factor alone makes the difference to me. Otherwise the N6 is a very nice device at a great price, although I also appreciate the moto enhancements.

The price is only about $100 more given you keep storage options about the same.
The only downside I see to the Nexus 6P is no SD slot and it costs more. I originally wanted the Moto X since it was affordable, has SD storage and was 5.7inches. The Nexus seems to be a better option with the only downside being no SD storage and it's a bit more expensive, although in my opinion AMOLED is a better screen choice than LCD so the Nexus has that going for it too, and a bigger battery....... Here is what I "think" I know after watching the event.
Nexus 6P
Pros:
USB-C
Larger battery 3450mah vs 3000 mah on the X
Faster software updates
Marshmallow preinstalled
AMOLED screen
Cons:
A little more expensive
no SD card slot.
Moto X Pure(Style)
Pros:
Cheaper
SD Card Slot
Cons:
LCD screen as opposed to AMOLED
Smaller battery 3000mah vs 3450mah
micro USB vs USB-C
Is anyone else struggling with this?
I was struggling until about 3 minutes ago when I ordered a 128GB graphite 6P. I'm honestly still not convinced I actually need to upgrade from my current Nexus 6. Heck I was even going to hold out hope that there might be a DROID with a fat battery and unlockable bootloaders. I love Motorola and their signal is amazing and I'm hoping this is comparable. This will be my 3rd Nexus and my current one is my 4th Motorola. Neither have done me wrong so far. I wish it had a wireless charger but I guess turbo charging is making that obsolete and I have to accept it. Ultimately I said screw it and ordered one. But I used the amex just in case lol.

That's a good point for sure, I just generally feel like most AMOLED's now a days are brighter and crisper than an LCD, plus they are easier on the battery.

From my experience, only amoleds used on samsung flagships are the best. When other manufacturers use amoled, samsung never gives them the top of the line amoled, that's why I believe is best for other manufacturers to go with lcd. Hopefully this amoled is power efficient and has good colors/angels etc.

I think the nexus 5x would be a better comparison.
Big con for the Moto X Pure(Style), for me is they do not sell it in Canada.
I was on the fence between Moto X Pure, iPhone 6s Plus and Nexus 6p.
Moto X Pure lacks accessories. Almost nothing projected from major case manufacturers.
iPhone 6s Plus on IOS9 has no jailbreak, which means no tethering for me since I have Verizon Unlimited.
Nexus 6p like the iPhone gets dinged for no removable storage, but offer 128GB, which I can live with.
I bought a graphite Nexus 6p.

The 6P and moto x are more alike than the moto x and 5x.
No fingerprint scanner on the motox right?
I already own a 64gb, black leather, red accented Moto X Pure, so I'm now debating on selling it and buying the Nexus 6P. Biggest reason why, development on XDA. I'm worried the 6p will over shadow the MXP and fewer developers will put time into releasing roms/mods for the MXP.
I'd love to hear feedback from those that do create roms and extra features for devices. I have no other complaints for the MXP, just fear of its support dying very early.

I am saying there is lots of hype for development on nexus devices, but since nexus 4, there hasn't been much going on. The days when Paranoid Android team was developing and Moles was with them used to be great. From what I recall a few other teams developed last year, but they didn't bring nothing new.

My pure is going back to Motorola. Plenty of complaints to read on their forums. OPO until my big P comes in.
I like the XPE but in returning mine as well. The only minus to the 6P is the sd slot and some of the moto features but I gain amoled (which is important to me coming from a note 3), bigger battery, fingerprint scanner and notification led! Also price wise isn't much difference when configured similarly. My XPE with 32gb and wood back was $503 shipped. The 64gb 6P was $583, what I get for the price difference is worth it in my book.
The XPE is a good phone but it's just not the phone for me. As someone else said, the development for the 6p will be huge in comparison to the Motorola. Spigen isn't making any cases for the XPE and neither are many accessory makers. I think the 6P will get all the love I'd hoped the Motorola would get so back it goes!
Avoid Moto, their customer service sucks, it's awful experience dealing with them..
To start, I'm definitely satisfied with my 64gb, black leather and red accent MXP. My biggest concern right now is the announcement of the Nexus 6P. Modders/developers, will this effect the potential of future development for the MXP? I'm with Verizon, so my choices on rootable/unlocked devices is very limited. Anyone else concerned and debating on selling/returning MXP? Also, with Android M announced, this will now show how truthful Motorola was on updating MXP.
I am happy with Moto. Nexus 6p is not much better oh and more expensive.

I haven't even seen my custom MXP yet and I'm debating returning it. My MXP has been at my house since September 18, but I'm at college and won't be able to retrieve it until October 10. I only have a few days left whether to tell my Mom to return it or not (Motorola only allows returns within 14 days of delivery).
The Nexus 6P definitely looks like the better overall phone spec-wise. But the differences are marginal.
The upsides to the MXP that make this a very hard decision are the customization, so I like the design much better (doesn't look like an iPhone), and the Motorola apps that the phone comes with (I kinda like the fact that it's not 100% stock android, but close). I'll also be able to have it in my possession much earlier (Nexus 6P doesn't look like it's shipping until November).
The only reasons I'd go for the Nexus 6P is the bigger battery and the better dev support.
Very hard decision to make here. Motorola's customization should not be overlooked here, while I think that the Nexus 6P's marginally better specs could be.

I know the two devices are so very similar with a $100 price difference. Just hoping modders will stick with developing for the MXP, biggest reasons for getting the MXP, was for near stock OS and development here at XDA.
Also, who should I donate to for development of CM for MXP? (I know it's probably a huge list of users, I do like compensating those for their time and efforts)
The only person I've seen doing anything with the MXP recently is Harsh. That is great but the odds of people suddenly grabbing this device for development, with its fairly obvious and well reported shortcomings is pretty low IMO. Especially with the nexus already announced and shipping in 30 days.
I bought my MXP on the third and still don't have the stupid thing. Sorry but that is pretty pathetic on Moto's part.
Add to all this Leno gutting Moto right before launch and the odds of updates being speedy being diminished greatly makes the MXP the riskier device.
I don't need the finger print scanner but its nice to have. I normally don't lock my phone but I would with the scanner and for last pass and bank stuff its really nice to not have to tap in my log pass word. Add to that Amoled is better and a better chipset that won't struggle when the gpu runs and bigger battery make the $100 a no brainer. My pure is most likely going back assuming it even gets here.

I wouldn't return it, 6P is much more expensive per storage option and really you'd only be adding a fingerprint scanner, besides that its just a small step up. Also you probably wouldn't see it until years end since on the reddit threadspeoples delivery dates are now at mid-late november and that was hours ago.

Valid point... Maybe with the 2 devices being so similar, developing for each might not be too different either and possibly porting 6p mods to MXP might be an option.
I'm having a little buyers regret as of today, but I'm not sure if it's worth the $100 more and I've grown to quite like the Moto sensor features and their "always listening" feature.... I use it much more than I thought I would.
I'm sitting here looking at a brand new OnePlus2 that I got yesterday - I received my invite and had to try it. I'm thinking I could sell that and get the 6P (with a little more $$ thrown in) and see what I think of it?
It's a never ending game.... In a couple months, a new Flagship will be out and I'll wish I had that too... I have to stop somewhere and pause for a while.

The OP2 sounds pretty weak (speaker) compared to the MXP. It even sounds pretty weak compared to a Galaxy S6/S6 Edge/iPhone..... Also, during the initial setup my battery went from 93% to 52% in just a 35-40 minute period. This included downloading and applying the 2.1 Oxygen update and several apps from the app store and restarting after the update. My M9 had a Snapdragon 810 and it was snappier than the OP2, IMO, and sounded a lot better too.
I did like the off-screen buttons and the home button/fingerprint scanner.
I think that's what I'll do.... Sell it for as close to the $400 I paid (after shipping) for it and put that back for a N6P.
The biggest complaint I have about the MXP is I can't find a screen protector to fit it!

Interesting... Thanks for the response. I recommend the 6P pre-order, this phone looks like it will be a winner. Huawei makes pretty nice phones, I'm glad they teamed up with Google. I was thinking about getting the OPT still but trying out HydrogenOS, I'm hearing good things about it and of course you always have CM.
You don't have cm with OnePlus 2... They ended their relationship a long time ago, hence why they had to go to Oxygen.

The oneplus one was great. I had an invite for the 2 but I passed on it for the Pure. Now my pure is going back as its not living up to expectations and I have the BIg P on pre order.
Its like $50 more for the nexus. Lots of little things make that worth it, biggest of all is the development on the nexus will be much better.
For me switching to the Nexus will only cost me about $5 more or $55 more if I do a 64GB since I spent $475 on the Moto with 32GB and wood cover and $20 on a memory card I probably don't need but bought simply because I could lol. So take away the memory card and the upgrade is only $25 but I get a better battery, fingerprint reader, instant updates, at least 2 years of updates, maybe better camera, AMOLED displace, notification light, etc....seems like a good deal at least for me.

Just to update you on something, OT here...
I boxed up my MXP this morning and have been using the OP2 all day... I've got about 10 hours of up-time with about 1:20 SOT and I'm at 77% on my battery. To be honest, this feels just about like the MXP... And I'm hoping this gets better after a few days of use (set up like a new ROM last night before bed).
I've had wifi on all day, took more calls than usual (4 calls), listened to music through my speaker (still sounds weak) and played 3 songs though my bluetooth speaker, just to test it out........Plus all the normal texting, email, weather, app updates, ect...
So the battery seems to be better after initial setup, which I'm extremely glad!
Now, if I can just make it with this super weak speaker for 5 weeks until my N6P arrives, that's gonna be the hardest!

So I ended up passing. I ordered the product and I saw the processing time may take 5-10 days. Who know, maybe we'll get lucky and the 6P ships early (fingers crossed) . I've been using my OPO and It's still smooth as day one, so I will hold on to it and use it as my backup phone. I will probably use the OPT money for a smartwatch, the Samsung Gear S2 comes out tomorrow.

Sounds like a good plan! I never had the OPO, but it seems to still have a pretty strong following.
FWIW: I was told there was a 5-10 processing period too, ordered it Thursday evening.....Tried to cancel it a couple hours later and was told "it's already been processed and cannot be cancelled now".... It arrived Monday morning. So I think the 5-10 day is a CYA thing they use, which isn't a bad thing, I guess?
I did the Smartwatch thing earlier this year (Moto360 than a Sony SW3)... Loved it at first, but it only lasted about a month. I didn't like the bluetooth drain on the battery..... My OCD already watches my phone battery too much, with the extra drain and now another device to watch the battery on, I didn't get anything done!
I'm torn right now. I want a bigger battery and the camera on the 6P seems better. But I really like Moto Display and Moto assist.
Mine is going back.
Development is going to be far superior on the Nexus. This is huge just by itself.
Amoled screen
Finger print is nice with lastpass and bank apps
Only $50 more with the play credit
Fast updates which with Leno gutting Moto no telling what will come
I'm not happy with the performance or the battery life on the Pure
Nexus has a larger battery and is tweaked for M
Camera is reported to be better on the Nexus than the pure
Better performance on the GPU and heat issues are a non factor
https://www.androidpit.com/snapdragon-810-vs-808-is-8-cores-really-better-than-6
So for $50 why exactly am I going to settle for the Pure? I won't.
I think if the Pure had come out a few months ago things might be a little different. They waited too long and the Nexus is just a better device. Add to that the shipping issues and pushing people's 14 days into the nexus announcement and well you get what you get. I'm glad mine took so long to ship now. I'm not getting stuck holding this turkey when everyone in 3 months is still asking where their Roms and updates are.
Going back, either getting a Nexus 6 64GB for $340 plus tax and saving $155 (32gb, wood back, sd card...all three total $495 plus tax) or spending an extra $5 for a 32 GB Nexus 6P
also lucked out that my phone shipped on the 15th so today is day 14
That's what she said.
I am struggling to see how to justify the extra $100 dollars for the 6p when the xpe beats it in several different areas. And people really shouldn't talk crap about the camera on the 6p because its also speculative at this point. But we already know the camera on the xpe is getting stellar reviews.

Only why I'm even considering the nexus 6P is because of the amoled and battery size. Other than dont care for the other features including the fingerprint. Definitely like the looks of the moto x better. Still deciding. Hmmm
Keeping my Mxp. That phone is ugly with the camera hump. I don't really care about the fingerprint scanner. Camera on my Mxp is good enough for my needs. The form factor on the Mxp is great, it is the perfect size. The Nexus 6P looks as big as the Nexus 6. Coming from a Nexus 6, I don't want a form factor like that anymore. With the sd card slot, I haven't streamed any media or music on the Mxp and that saves on a lot of data. Battery life is ok, but with the quick charger it is a non-issue.
Anybody know how much the uk 6p will retail for? I'm going to return mine when it eventually arrives
Just found out that CA residents have up to 30 days for return! Not that I want to... I like the look and my design of the MXPE, but the battery is disappointing somehow... still deciding.

The camera for the 6p has been reviewed by DXOmark.
http://www.dxomark.com/Mobiles
It comes in #2 behind the S6 Edge.
Beats all others including the style.
Thursday will be 2 weeks since my Moto was delivered, I am definitely keeping it. For my usage this, phone is perfect.

Keeping mine as well since I had a best buy gift card to purchase this device.
If the nexus 6P ends up being sold at best buy then my decision changes again lol.
I was considering the pure but I see there is no roms yet. Seems a bit behind compared to the new moto g. The 6p will probably be my next device IF I can finance it through T-Mobile.
my 30 day return period is up like Oct 25 from Amazon... and I'm hearing the nexus phones aren't even shipping until November? yeah, i think I'll hang on to this bad boy for a bit, and wait to read reviews on the 6p with that steamy hot 810 in it, and who knows about huwai build quality or who's screen they use... if it's not samsung amoled, or its like previous gen samsung amoled like Motorola used to get, then no thanks, I'd rather have this LCD.
if i end up wanting it, I'll just get it and either sell the moto or hang on to it who knows.

Already pre-ordered 6P. Some of Moto's features that set the XPE apart are now coming to both Nexuses (quick camera access, wake up when picking it up). I can't even get 3 hours SOT with the XPE. :-/ I'm also thinking of N and O releases. My X1 just got 5.1. And the nexus will have ROM support long after that. Sorry Moto, I'm outta here.

I'll be keeping my Pure. I had a huawei phone once. I'll never have another. The 5x is just lack luster compared to the Pure.

Don't forgot no sd card slot
I don't trust the Huawei brand, and since the NX5 is limited to 32gb, I'm keeping the MXP. Sure, it won't have the development that nexus devices do, but I'm confident we'll see enough to keep me happy.
I'm keeping my Moto X, looks better, does everything I want, cheaper... If I change my mind down the road we will see but they packed almsot the same stuff in a larger form factor. Who knows how it will preform either. Also if you watch the 5X hands on from android athority it sure looked like it was having mis touch issues like the G4 has... I really hope it was because he missed the screen looking through his camera cuz that is what led me to ditch the G4 and if it moved to the nexus device... watch out! At least patches will be quicker.
6P:
Pros over the X:
-Finger print reader
-USB Type C
-All metal design
-Faster
-maybe a better camera (wait for reviews)
-Quick updates from google for years to come
-Better development
-Battery is bigger and already has android M
-AMOLED (bright, battery saving
Cons:
-Larger
-huge bezels
-All metal design (yes I added it also as a con because it could get very hot and get scratches/dings easy)
-Weird black bump thing
-Unproven manufacturer
-Cost a bit more (not too bad)
-AMOLED (BURN INNNNNNNSSSSSSSS)
-No wireless charging
Moto X:
Pros:
-Cheaper
-More customization from Moto maker
-Possible faster charger
-LCD (yes I like LCD over AMOBURNIN )
-Gestures to launch camera and flashlight already have me hooked
-Simmer bezels
-Already in my hand no waiting
-Proven front facing speakers that work well
-some water proofing
Cons:
-No wireless charging
-No fingerprint reader
-LCD has horrible blacks, even compared to the G4 :-/
That's all I have. I would like to reserve full judgement until I see this thing in real life and maybe I will jump, but for now I'm happy
Now that I have my pure in I can say 100% it's going back. My opo is better and I'd keep it over the pure. I can't get over how bad battery life is using chrome or maps. The build quality also feels cheap and I see lots of micro lag that I didn't see as much even in the opo. I'm very disappointed in the pure.
Going back to Motorola and waiting on the nexus p.
Hello,
My galaxy note 4 started to give me a lot of problems so i decide to search for a new phone.
I cannot spend more than $400 dollars so i was thinking in getting Moto X Pure.
Do you think right now is a good choose or i should look for another one??
For me a key factor is to have the micro sd slot.
Thanks in advance.
Regards!!
I personally think it is a great phone for the price range. It has a micro SD slot. Aside from that I recommend looking around for your options.
I'd go OP3 if you aren't on Verizon.

He said he needs a microsd slot which the One Plus 3 does not have. I bought this phone and I am enjoying.
I'm selling a moto x pure for 300 in mint condition bought in January this year
I wouldn't buy it again. Battery life is really crappy. Go for a nexus 6p or 5x. Hell, for the first time in years I'm actually considering an iPhone again after having this phone. I mean, it's not particularly bad as a phone, it's pretty fast, has microSD, QHD screen, thin bezels, but my god, 2.5 hours of screen-on time has me glued to the charger. I can only make it through a day if I don't use it much.

Also finding battery very good. Just got this phone and came from an lg g4 and find them very similar in battery performance. I would definitely consider a g4 in the uk you can get them on eBay for £150

You must have a lighter usage than us, I also have between 2h30 to 3h30 SOT before it gets below 30% and I charge it.
But all the rest has been a great experience so far, it is just bugging me that I have to plan ahead charging the phone (which is a non-problem if you have access easy access to a wall charger or external battery). If it had removable battery it would be perfect!
I would not buy. I love the styling of the phone but in the US, LenovoMoto has forgotten us. No security updates since February and if you decide to install a custom rom, your warranty is voided. I unlocked my bootloader and my front facing camera failed after having the phone for less than six months. LenovoMoto won't repair it.
For me I need two of three things to buy a phone: unlockable for custom roms, microsd slot, removable battery. The Pure has two of the three but again, since they won't support hardware defects the fact that the phone is unlockable really doesn't matter. I'm on Verizon, which makes it even tougher since they are pretty hostile towards developer phones.
I like this phone alot except for the audio jack. That is the only reason I will be getting something else soon.
Turn Back Now!!!
Moto x pure is a great phone and is built very well. Feels great in hand due to curved back, SD slot, camera is solid, radios in Motorola are the best. The IPS screen is welcomed change, you get more real colors...then those over saturated coloring books you call Samsung, I switched from S7 edge, if that says anything. Moto X Pure is really snappy with Pure Android on it. I was more than happy with this phone from consumer point...that being said....turn back if you want ROMS and Dev support. There are couple Stock ROMs and few custom ROMs...but its dead in alot of the threads and Devs never respond to you. I personally would go with Nexus 6p. I own it and there is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more ROMs and Dev support. Not to mention it has up to date support and it has android N already. Best buy has gd deal on Nexus6p, believe in your price range, but no sd card slot....so its trade off but Nexus has best support for updates n dev community. Gd luck!!! May the Root be with you!
Appreciate your help guys!! at the end i decided to buy it!! i spend last night installing everything.
Let's see how good is the change from Samsung (i had s3, s4 and note 4) to Motorola.
The only reason why i didn't buy the Nexus was the external memory slot, for me that's critical.
Regards!!

How is it? I'm considering buying it! I'll be upgrading from a Moto G1
it's a very good phone, the build quality, the screen, the sound (i love it!!) it's a safe buy right now.

Nexus will always get support and I have checked the dev threads and I do developers there helping. I have this running a deoxed/rooted/exposed and I am trying to determine if adding CM or anything else is worth it or not because everything works.
My stereo bluetooth loves this phone because it actually sounds like real music not washed out music from the Note 4.
Moto X Pure
Moto X Pure is on sale right now, only $239 plus free SD Card..http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/0...-discounted-319-99-64gb-239-99-16gb-bh-today/
I love it so far. My only complaint is the battery life. However, the awesome screen, camera, and speakers make up for it. Seriously though, the battery is bad. I get about 3.5 hours of SOT a day max. Coming from an LG G2 where 5 hours was the norm.... well....
The battery is about the only trade off, but with the specs and price range, i don't complain. The turbo charging is great to offset the issue of battery. For me one of the selling points was the radio hardware. Of all the devices my wife and I have owned, only Motorola and Nokia devices have manned to hold signal reliably in weak signal areas.
My note 7 is recalled onece again so I'm looking for an interim replacement that won't break the bank in the interim until the next note comes out.
With that being said. I'm familiar with the Hardware differences between the 2, and some of the software tweaks. I can get a New 64gig MXP for 360.00 or I'm looking for a 64 gig 6p around 450-500 for a new one. Used around about 50-75.00 less. With that being said, this device will get passed along to a family member. So any advice would be appreciated. From what I read the mxp will get nougat some time this year and probably will be the last one for it.
Thanks in advance.

That's a tough call. Despite the greater specs on the 6p, I really can't tell a performance difference, but that might change as software gets more demanding. The 6p's camera is way better. Most would agree the Motorola's look and feel is better on the outside and the slightly smaller size is more comfortable to hold.

Hi have had both, had to return my x pure twice for screen defeats.
But as it relates to both, the pure feels much better in the hand, the performance difference is somewhat noticeable, but not night and day between it and the 6p.
The pure has sd card storage
Plus moto display, is the single best feature on any phone imo, you don't realize how great it is until you are not using it
Good camera, comparable to most top flight camera in good lighting, a joke of a camera in poor lighting.
6p
Pros
Finger print scanner
AMOLED screen
Faster updates.
Better camera.
Cons
Too big, other manufacturers manage to put a similar screen in a smaller body.
No sd card
Build on Janerd's response:
Moto X Pros:
Way smaller in hand
Screen is way brighter
Screen is much more visible with polarized sunglasses
Speakers are richer
Moto actions
Better camera app (way more one-hand-able based off of the UI)
Cons:
Even though they both have the same amount of ram, the Moto dumps its cache way more frequently. Chrome tabs reloaded ALL THE TIME.
It's noticeably slower than the SD 810.
In my eyes, if the X had been released with the SD810, or even the SD805, it would have been near flawless.

You can check Amazon warehouse deals for both those phones, I picked up my nexus 6p 64gb for 340 back in July. I have had both and that SD 808 is a weak spot on the mxpe. Still a good value though. I'll be sticking with my nexus 6p for the time being.

Had x style three times. Great phone. But different between x pure is void guarantee after unlock bootloader. Anyway speed, smooth, energomy, speakers is fantastic. I change it for Nexus second time because i love Nexus and outstanding xda community
