Is everyone using the stock adaptive brightness or has anyone tried Lux?

I haven't tried lux yet. Was debating between lux and cf lumen. Previous device I used lux. Curious on others preferences for auto brightness tools for moto x. Slowly installing all the wonderful root only tools...
I'm using lux and am happy with it. I previously used it on my droid Maxx. I haven't compared it to the stock tool.

I'm using F-Lux. I think it works better than stock. A little more responsive and adjustable.

So I just found out that the reason why Moto active display is so amazing is because it doesn't consume hardly any battery due to the amoled display only waking a few pixels. Is there any way we will see this on our phones since they use an amoled or is it dependant on the Motorola framework?

I think it's also dependent on the low power cores designed specifically for that feature.
You will not get Moto X branded features on your Galaxy 4. Period.
The only way it will happen is if someone other than youself makes it happen, on AOSP.
Cheers
I like the Google now always on feature where you can just talk and it responds. Any app that's going to be like that for the s4?

I was reading there's a app or for it but you need 4.3 to run it. Check it out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=

Many custom roms allow you to customise the auto brightness, but I prefer to use lux auto brightness app - it is brighter by default. I'm not sure about the HTC one, but using one of those two solutions (and colour calibration if necessary using a custom kernel) it will improve

I strongly recommand you to actually upgrade to full version of lux.
The auto profile is amazing, during night time it automatically dim out more than the day profile. Best 4 bucks I've ever spent on play store
I will definitely buy the full. For now I will run it as much as possible. I'm having good battery life and this app seems no effect on it.

I'm looking for that tweak that adds the small adjustments for auto brightness, so you can lower/raise the auto settings without losing the automatic part. Some Roms have it cooked in, but unfortunely the one I'm using does not!

I have never seen it in any MDL of MF3 rom. If you want that feature I would suggest installing a international rom. For some stupid reason Samsung doesn't use it in the US version of their phones.

Infact you can use it. Install the xposed framework and then Wanam Exposed. Among other things there's an option for it.
Try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.velis.auto.brightness

I use and like the pro version of it.
The app lets me choose a preferred brightness level for various night or day brightness.
Such as if I'm next to the dim lamp next to my bed, I tell Lux how bright (or dark) I want my phone and everytime my phone gets to that level of light, it will automatically adjust to my preferred backlight level.

I noticed this as well when I firstt got my G2. I use Lux for autobirghtness needs. There's also a lite/free verison available for you to try. hope this helps....
Stock is completly idiotic about this. You set the brightnes and then the auto setting will adjust just a couple % arround that value. Useless

I'm going crazy over here. Since the zvc update i cant find nor remember where the settings to control screen resolution per app is. Downloaded a couple games that come nowhere close to filling the screen. I swear i remember there being a setting somewhere to control resolution. Ideas?
