After updating to 5.1.1 fw the device continues to restart and shut down.
Trying to get into the "download mode", the message that is knox 1
But I never rootato or modified the notes 4 that is under warranty
The assistance will be able to see that the device has not been tampered although knox showed 1?
There have already been cases like this ??

That's not true, the KNOX counter will only be tripped if a file that has been modified is flashed, if you flash stock firmware you wont trip the KNOX counter.

Sammobile provides unmodified firmware files, on a rare occasion if you try to downgrade to an older firmware you can potentially trip KNOX.
I never used odin
I do not know if Knox is tripped after hard reset and restore or after upgrading to 5.1.1 lollipop made with kies 3.
Never any operation of this device modding

hi ,
Firstly ,
i have to say that Knox does not worry me at all ,tripped Knox ..long ago !!.
I thus have no real interest in its workings ,as i do not need Knox in my "life "or on my device !!
That said ,well my logic says (correct me plse if i am wrong )
i have seen processes " Security log event " etc ..( I have disabled this when i rooted ... as it was also giving me wakelocks etc ) Now surely won't any "incident/breach of security ? ..eg rooting ... " be recorded in log event .??
If so surely cause of " tripping" should be establish ?
Thus take it to Samsung centre and ask them to check reason why tripped ?
Above is just my opinion and theory ...or an option to consider ?
good luck

Hello
Even for me knox +1 is not a big problem .. I can rootare the device and put a firmware that is maybe better than stock ..
But I'd like to understand how it happened! But above all I do not accept that I say that I did when the root is not true
I hope they can determine how it happened
Thank you
The device is returned from assistance for warranty service, but the same problems as before ... do you flash a custom rom could solve ??
thanks
If you downgraded your rom knox might get tripped
Maybe you bought used phone?

@ johnmassay ---> Purchased new phone
The problems that I mentioned have remained even after the return from assistance samsung.
Also taken new battery but I have not solved the problems
Also now when the phone warms up for extended use itself off and I have to pull out and reinsert the battery to turn it back
At this point I would just like to understand if it is a hardware problem or sotware.
In case of software problems I could flash a custom rom and I would be all right even without the guarantee samsung.
If it is a hardware problem then the matter is serious + .... and I would not know how to solve .....
advice?
Thanks

Most likely its hardware problem
Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk
The center samsung think this is hardware problem ...
in which case we hope is still under warranty despite the Knox warranty Void 01
I bent as in previous posts
Thanks
I hope you sort it out and get a new device and when you do then disable knox. Knox and stock **** that ****. Custom roms is the way to go...
I am interested in custom rom, but if the problem is a hardware device on the solution "custom ROM" becomes not decisive
For now await responses from Samsung .. then I will decide accordingly ..
I'm angry because of this problem the Notes 4 is for me the ideal device, both for work and for fun and I am comfortable ... The Note 5 for example, I do not care because it does not have the MicroSD slot and battery less accurate
We hope you find a solution for my note 4 ..

Hello! I got an update after installing my "new" 9505 with the famous sticker on the side (This product Is only comaptible wIth a SIM card Issued from a...)
However, I got the condion that KNOX warranty void is: 0x1
I can't go down to MGA or other firmwares... Sad. I understand that it is not possible to go back to MGA or another old stock firmware.
Can someone tell me how big the chances are that we will have a fix, a hack or anything to solve this problem?
Or is it nearly impossible?

If after an official update your knox flag was triggered, i'd say you walk up to Samdung and give them **** about it. It should not have happened because that's idiotic on their part. If your binary flash counter is 0, then it's perfectly fine and you should take it up with Samsung (or the carrier you got it from).

It came fist with an official OTA update, but now I flashed a dozen different things, from 4.3.3 to OMEGA, to GOLDEN EYE and more - I just played around a bit. I do not know if they are so friendly when they see this.
When I heard it right, the Mobile Odin doesn't work any more, and I do not know if I can get hands on a new one.
And even when I get a new one, and it has the very latest system - would it make a difference?? I do not know, really!

Well now the point is moot. Because you can't really prove that an official firmware caused the flag to trip. So you can try reverting to stock and fighting with them on the warranty if you can show that there's a fault with the phone not on the software level but hardware. Otherwise, you'll have to live with it.
Hi !
I made a mistake... I flashed my brand new Note 3 with the latest unbranded firmware from sammobile (N9005XXUDMJ7) with Odin. Flashing was successful and everything works fine. But I made it before I even read something about rooting that phone... Now I know that MJ7 is very hard to root without breaking Knox Is there a possibility to reverse it back to MJ3 ? Or maybe there is a way to root with flag 0x0 ?
If there is no way to do this I must wait until somone much smarter than me find the way...

I have a SM-N900 which I have flashed with many custom roms but while flashing the latest stock via odin I lost my IMEI and Baseband as unknown. I have exhausted all possible options talking to many senior members but to no avail. so it needs to go to Samsung service.
Now I live in India and the phone is form Dubai .
so I have flashed stock and my current status is
Binary fficial
System official
Knox warranty bit 0
csc xsg
now is there a way Samsung may find out that the device has been tampered. there is no physical damage to the phone.
Technically No, but I will suggest u to prey to God, many people send there device for repair with 0x0 & returned by Samsung without repaire with 0x1

Take a photo just before you hand it in to Samsung - the download mode.
If you come out with a KNOX 0x1, show them the photo and request for a full exchange.

[Q] Downgrading Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 from 4.4.2→4.3 without E-Fuse/Guarantee Loss
Hello everybody.
Is there any way to downgrade the Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 from 4.4.2 to 4.3, without triggering the E-Fuse-Chip to short-circuit which causes feautre-loss and guarantee loss?
It's OK, if the Guarantee is just TEMPORAIRLY disabled, while the downgrade is in progress
But after the downgrade, the device should be like a new one.
I also don't want any damage on my device like lower processing power, guarantee loss, heat problems or compatibility problems.
Also, i've already backed all data up, so backup isn't really needed.
Please don't ask me, why i want to take this downgrade. KitKat has so many unknown software disadvantages, and compatibility problems and it's too bogus.
If you know, how to do this, but you don't think, that a downgrade is not needed, please post it yet.
Short Story
The Shop, where the Note 3 is bought from mentioned this device to have Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but i was shocked/disappointed, after i saw KitKat.
The KitKat-Wafer is quite tasty, but the Android-Operation-System is quite bitter.
I really appreciate any help you can provide.
Far as I know flashing an official binary will not trip your Knox. Don't know about KK to JB downgrades because the bootloader can not be flashing back to JB after KK has been applied.

Thank you very much for answering.
So, i just have to start ODIN, and let's/here we go?
Right?
What i understand
So that means:
Download ODIN
Install ODIN
Download Firmware
Connect Note 3 to PC
[*]Let's go (Load Firmware on Note 3)
Will the downgrade be sucessfully?
No Guarantee Loss
[*]No eFuse-Trigger
No Feature Loss
No Other Problems
Temporaire guarantee loss is OK, if it can be restored.
But i don't want to Trigger the EFuse-Short Circuit.
Missing
Step 1 download and install Samsung/ Kies USB drivers .
Open Odin put relevant files in correct box.
Connect phone to PC
Make sure correct boxes ticked in Odin .
Hit start button
No Guarantee Loss >>> No not 100% possible .
Knox Triggered by custom rom / kernel/ recovery not by stock rom .
Really would not downgrade as i don't see you as understanding the basics .
Is your EFS folder backed up is question 1 as a downgrade may lose your IMEI .

I'm gonna agree with the poster above Hannah. It looks like you don't really understand what you are doing.
Here's a very quick rundown:
1. Get the Samsung phone drivers
2. Get Odin 3.09
3. Get EFS professional and make several EFS backups of all partitions
4. If your phone is carrier branded only download stock firmware specifically for your carrier brand. Otherwise any region stock firmware should work. Do not use Hong Kong FW unless your phone is from HK. for safety, stick to firmware of your approximate geographical area to avoid possible issues with modems.
5. Read, read, and read as many threads on this forum as you can.
6. There are a bunch of steps after this which i won't all type out. Refer to point 5...

Or is MK2 newer?

Very basic Samsung FW decoder:
Device identifer - region code - FW identificator ( The lower the letter in the alphabet the newer the software)
N9005 - XXU - MJ7
This is the last 4.3 FW for DBT (Generic Germany)

I use EFS Backup Pro to backup my modem and EFS partitions but that requires root. TWRP also has the ability to backup the modem partition, but flashing a custom recovery will trigger knox 0x1.
I've tripped my knox over a year ago so I don't keep up with how to root the phone while keeping knox 0x0. A quick google gave me this post but I have not tried it myself.
If you manage to root your phone and keep it 0x0 than technically I imagine you can backup your EFS. The question is it's still worthwhile to go to all this trouble. The N9005 is approaching its' second birthday. In my personal case, since I don't care for extended warranties on electronics, my legal basic warranty already expired some time ago anyway.
there might be some obscure proprietary Samsung features that depend on Knox. But other than those, I see no real point in trying to keep your phone 0x0.

Hi all, having issues with my phone still in warranty and want to know if it looks like it when i send back to samsung for repair.
With android 5 i rooted but lost root when android 6 came out and i haven't rooted it at all since, i just did the update via ota from my network provider.
If is warranty void what do they look at and what can i do to change?
Thanks
stu
You simply can't change it .
Once you root your device, the knox switch trips , it cannot be resetted back to 0×0 .
It was possible on note 3 n900 , but definitely not on note 4 (n910g)
If you are in India, don't worry, they dont check the download mode, they just check if there is a problem and fix it.
Why are you worried , if you don't have any problem ?
I rooted mine within a week after purchase .
Reporting via N910G.
my rooted note 4 didnt get ota in fone like it said i have rooted it so i cant get it this way then have to update with kies ... so if u got ota directly in fone then i think u r good to go to service center
Im in australia, im worried that if i send it in for repair and they say no then its marked on the system and it will never get fixed. Yes a remote chance it wont be checked but then it might.
I did see there is a nox reset thats not 100% but sometimes ok.
interesting for anyone else looking.
http://www.mobilecentre.pl/how-to-reset-flash-counter-in-samsung-note-4/
ill check back later today with the outcome.
That article mentions 'triangle-away' which only resets the flash count...nothing to do with Knox.
Even Chainfire thinks Knox is an unresettable eFuse. If you've tripped Knox, it's going to stay tripped no matter what you do.
You cant reset the counter. Sorry
