I installed CM7 and everything is fine except while on a call the volume up/down button is hanging up the current call when the proximity sensor is on.
i.e. if you have your phone to your ear, the screen is off and if you press the volume up/down it will hang up the call. If the phone is not on your ear and the screen is on, the volume up/down works normally.
I can't post in the Dev forum since I don't have enough posts, but was wondering if anyone else has this problem?

Well, I figured out it is if you have the "Power button ends call" enabled, the volume buttons will hang up as well if your screen is off. Now if you don't have this enabled, the volume buttons don't do anything when the screen is off.. I hope there will eventually be a fix for this.
Yeah I posted this one in the issue tracker. im guessing it's a member of the Dev team that responded, "it's expected" when volume rocker wake is active. I've never hung up a call when turning up or down volume using Alien or Aura so I too hope this gets a work around.. Weird how it only does it when screen is already off.

repost until it does get fixed. File it as not expected behavior and note other roms, including stock.

i believe this is a side-effect of having the volume rockers set to wake the phone. it's a trade-off.
I bootlooped my LG G2 and I've fixed this problem before but I don't know how. When I hold down the Power Button (or Power Button + Vol Down) it reboots the device and goes directly into bootloop. I want to shut it down so I can access the recovery. I've solved this before by luck, 1 out of 100 tries I can somehow get it to shut off. Is there a consistent way to do this? Thanks for the help!
Edit: I managed to shut it down. I removed the usb cable (I don't know if it's related). Then I hold the power button until it rebooted and the moment the LG logo appeared I stopped pushing the button and the phone shut down. It seems very random and I wish LG can just make the 'battery pull combo' just shut down the device, not reboot it.

I bought the S7E about 2 weeks ago, and sometimes, when i try to wake the phome ,the power button doesnt respond same when screen on. So i wake the phone with home button and lock with double tap on statusbar (GravityBox[MM]).
Anyone else having this problem too??
Go to service...it is hardware problem.

or maybe you can do factory reset first
How do I power on my phone . My power button is broken. I have tried to plug the charger then remove battery and put it back and it still not working. I also had tried to push volume down button and plug the charger, it is on but only showing welcome screen and note that i can reset the phone by pressing the power button (which is broken). Anybody can help?
Take a metal piece like key or other ........not a pointed one and touch it to metal which is behind the broken button for 5seconds

Hey guys, I updated to 8.0 Oreo and most of the times my POWER button and HOME button will not work. If the screen goes black, ill have to connect a charger so the clock menu and thumbprint screen comes on. Ive notice it will happen if the HOME button will work then after if I press the HOME button, the screen will light up as if I did a screen shot, then, the GOOGLE ASSISTANT app pops up and asks me to "sign up". Its at this time the POWER and HOME buttons will not work. Its completely annoying. Ive went through the GOOGLE ASSISTANT options but yet it still does it. Anyone heard of this or can I do an ODIN flash to 7.0???? Thanks guys!
***Mods, please delete post
With no answers or anything as to the cause, even with an Oreo 8.0 factory reset, I just ended up using ODIN to get back to 7.0.
im experiencing the same. at first it was my home and power buttons. but after i rebooted my phone, the power button is already working properly but the home button is still not. the fingerprint scanner is working fine though. is this a software error or do we need to replace our home buttons? any workarounds? please share. thank you.
