@azdine57 All models, before in old times yes, pit files are made according the size of the emmc. Now it's made the partition that matter and the last one its the user data, left space it's associated to the last partition. So now no need the pit files according to emmc capacity. Hope it was clear enough explaining.

Not so clear because now you have different hidden partitions, over unbranded phones, over mine for example, it's unbranded version for France, tried to flash the lattest NEE unbranded and ODIN fail at hidden partition because size, so solution it's flashing pit file with hidden partition bigger or remove the hidden package over the odin package. But the appropriate method it's the pit file

1. This happend when you try to flash one firmware unbranded to one device branded or viceversa.
2. The .pit file for Note 3 16 GB is different that the one of 32 GB.
3. For avoid problems: Install this APP and add screenshots.
The pit file is the problem. ..I also advice u flash without the pit file and see how it goes

Thank you for the answer. Sorry if my question is stupid, I am competent not at all in this domain.
Thus I can flash my Note 5 ( N920IDVU2AOJ3) with the version given here ( N920CXXU1AOH2) in order to get French?
In my searches I also found others ROM (on "ndroidzone") around N920IDVU1AO and many different letters at the end.
Is their compatibility with my phone better and how to know if those there contain French?
Thank you

How can that be when they are the same phone just different region.
They have exact same hardware inside .
Do you know a technical reason why same phones can not use MM
The modem/baseband part is different in these two phones. I am 99% sure if you flash either phone with the others firmware you will end up with a softbricked phone.
Baseband and modem only affect the ability to use network so if your country doesn't have that frequency then yes phone won't work..won't soft brick but won't get any signal either..
They are identical phones expect they are made for different regions...
Mine is optus AU the c model could be anything from Afghanistan to Vietnam. ..

Can we get a definitive answer from someone that if we flash the g928c marshmallow firmware in the f variant that it will or will not trip knox??
A thread was recently created with a guide on how to flash this however as of yet there has not been a definitive answer of where or not this trips knox, it shouldn't as it is not rooting but I'm not sure and me and a lot of other people don't want to risk it, if anyone is on knox 0x0 and is going to flash this firmware could you let the rest of us know if it trips the knox counter before we **** up our phones

Dont worry about it, there is nothing wrong with showing C or F.. My device is C variant btw. The firmwares of G928C variant, already has got F basebands included.. You can change it as F after flashing F variant's MM Bootloader-modem or whole MM F firmware(after release ). Just Ignore it..
So how does one trip Knox? If I use the appropriate F Pit file, it wont trip knox and I get to flash the C firmware?

Could be firmware/modem related yes but I'm not sure what a C firmware would do for you.

just thought that possibly, if I would try replacing my firmware to a local one (Philippines) or at least the Korean, I could improve my signal strength since currently at my area, I am having trouble finding connectivity, maybe just a trial and error, I already had Korean variant devices but did not find any trouble on connectivity in my place but my s6 edge plus has no network at all, could it be possible? any advice sir, been looking for threads for possible fix but still could not find any and I guess this is my last resort, thanks for the reply anyways

Latest Stock DPDP S6E firmware.
It's a UK carrier and contains WiFi calling.
For some reason my battery life after flashing this is hugely better.

But if I was on EE before I went to XEU and didn't flash the PIT file to do that then surely my partitions have remained the same size so I don't have to resize them for the EE update.
Also wasn't it just Vodafone customers that had to flash a PIT to go to Marshmallow XEU/BTU version??

If you flashed from EE to BTU then you partitions should stay the same and be bigger for the 'hidden' part. If you did what I did and did a full wipe and restore onto BTU from EVR then you may need the PIT file. I tried to flash first without the PIT file and it failed. Just offering some caution for people who flash.
Could someone upload the firmware please (mirror or torrent)?
Also I don't really remember doing so but I must have upgraded to the following firmware back in December (rooted 6.0 beta I think) - Is there any way I can retain root / re-root after updating to the EE firmware but keep features such as Wifi Calling?

Not sure about root. Almost certainly will have to reroot. I would say use the tool called samfirm - will download directly from Samsung at really high speeds no need to use mirrors.
Flash it assuming you may need to wipe cache, and possibly factory reset in case of bugs. Battery life seems really good currently.

The EVR PIT can be found here.
You may find you don't need the PIT file.
You put the pit file into the BL section of Odin 3.10
You can do it with the EVR firmware, or on its own. It should tick 're-partition' . This bit makes me nervous. Use a good cable.

Samfirm is the greatest tool for downloading latest firmware from Samsung, I downloaded it at 4.5MB/s rather than 100KB/s
Thanks for the heads up about Samfirm!

If you didn't flash the PIT file when you went from EVR to BTU then you shouldn't need it to go back!!

It won't trip Knox but try flashing without the PIT file first
nice little update! Phone seems a lot smoother and battery life seems slightly better.
Feels like the 'edge' part actually has a purpose now!
Hello guys. Does anybody have a changelog for this update?
Thanks
A few months ago, the Global option appeared as an option that I could choose instead LTE / CDMA or GSM / UMTS, makes some updates this disappeared and can not find in any forum as active. if I use GSM only manages up to 3G, and if I use cdma data not work because my sim is a GSM company and before if I could get LTE, can someone help?

Hi, I know you have a sprint device at hand, you can flash this firmware here: http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=4340625291E211E6891DFA163EE8F90B
This will remove any Sprint Bloatware and allow you to use LTE, I am assuming you are not in the US correct? if needed i can help guide you flashing it. Do note that flashing this will wipe your device completely, you will need to backup your device before you flash.

I downloaded and installed the software. I'm not quite sure about what to fill in the Model and Region blank, so I put this:
Model: SM-G930U (instead of P)
Region: SPR (Sprint)
Then hit "Check Update", here is the suggested U firmware:
File: SM-G930U_1_20160921124641_vvcrzx3ej5_fac.zip.enc4
Version: G930UUEU4API3/G930UOYM4API3/G930UUEU4API3/G930UUEU4API3
Do I download this firmware? Or do I have to type in different Model number?
Thank you!

Using SM-g930U and SPR would download the same file, as long as you download the firmware for model SM-G930U, it will download the correct file.
