HELP!! I need other CSC on N9005 [MJ7 & No ROOT] - Camera SOUND with XEF

Hi,
I have one Note 3 N9005 with MJ7... My CSC is XEF from France.
I have a problem with this "ROM" or CSC, when you try do a picture with the camera ALWAYS the sound is ON, I read this is problem with ROM from France.
I don't want this sound and I try change the rom with other english and spanish ROM. I change the ROM, BUT not CSC and the sound still on the camera.
Anyone can help me? Is possible with MJ7?
I can't do root because the knox up!

I'm on MJ7, downgrade from MK2 and i don't know if my bootloader (MK2, if is different than MJ7) doesn't let me change ROM (from UK, this rom change CSC i think)

To disable camera shutter sound your phone has to be rooted. And then you can use some app (e.g Wanam Xposed) to disable it.
Or you can switch the phone to silent mode before taking a picture (no root needed).
That's all.

I've never understood the want for disabling shutter sound, there's been a lot of people complaining they cannot disable it.
Unless you're taking 100000's of selfies or "sneak" pictures lol - BTU has a disable option.
Also note that laws apply in certain countries. If you have your camera shutter disabled it is against the law. So be careful.

2 reasons,,
in my country its set to FARKING LOUD
and I like to be able to take photos of my kids without alerting them and thereby ruining any chance of further cute pictures.
luckily you dont need root to turn the click off.
just load a stock ROM from a country that doesnt have it hard set (hong kong or I used the "Unknown Country" from sammobile.com
worked a treat.. just turn the sound off for the whole phone just before you launch the camera.

[Q] SM-N9005 ROM on Live Demo Unit SM-N9005X

I have a live demo unit galaxy note 3 snapdragon 800 variant sm-n9005x
and i wanna install n9005 stock firmware with odin. but if i do this i'll brick my phone?
i mean, both of them have the same specs...
i know that i need to use the modem for n9005x in order to have wifi.
but i want to be sure if i can brick my phone.

Normal firmware doesn't play nice with Demo units. In short yes it'll softbrick your device.

I have flashed stock rom onto a n9005x live demo unit and mostly it works ok, the only things that dont work are phone, and video playback when streaming video. I am assuming that this is because the modem.bin file that is part of the stock rom is programmed for mobile support whilst the device is linked via wifi for boost, so when the device tries to access this function by default it errors and causes the device to crash.
I tried verious apps for playback over internet access via wifi but all apps crash.
I have tried other firmwares that people have claimed to work but then I have found that the volume controls and or sound stop working, again I am assuming that this is because the modem.bin file has other functional uses other than just for wifi and phone function, It may also modulate the sound to the speakers.
I am still looking for the original firmware that came from the demo unit as I did not have the tools at the time to backup the current demo software off the note 3 and so I am a bit stuck with a demo unit that will not playback video.

I got Note 3 LDU & flashed it with N9005 ROM from sammobile & it works(sort off). it restarts when I open a game or youtube ones or twice then works fine.
Is there any stable ROM till now?

Your device is also a Demo unit? Are you sure?
What is your Product Code?
And does it have Modem Board?

Hi, it is a demo it doesn't make or receive a call & it doesn't have a GPS modem on it. I am attaching the actual photo as well. You see after I restarted the handset it & it didn't restart when I started Throne Rush game in other times it might restart as I try to start any game after i restart it but after that it works fine.
the camera works I even downloaded Camera360 app it works with that too.
the Youtube works fine S Note works scrapbook works it does restart when you try to run it sometimes but it works.
I flashed it with N9005OXAGNJ3_BTU from sammobile via Odin thats all I did

iam rooted my note 3 ldu(towel root) and flashed customs rom and updated to 4.4.2 kitkat after boot I know LDU was soft bricked
a lots od research finally my ldu working fine with kikat bootloader + scottroms + some managed modem baseband files

My previous problems crashing when capturing photo or video , reboot sometime , no sound ,cannot open YouTube gallery it will stuck, cannot flash roms and some message appear like set warranty bit.

I HAVE THE SAME LIVE DEMO WITH MODEL: N900X . I HAVE FOLLOWED THIS METHOD AND IT WORKED FOR ME AND I HOPE THAT IT WILL WORK FOR YOU TOO. :fingers-crossed:
***NOTE:*** THIS METHOD IS ONLY APPLICABLE FOR SNAPDRAGON (800) VARIANT OF GALAXY NOTE 3(LIVE DEMO)
AFTERMATH: DEVICE IS COVERTED TO N9005(hlte). HOWEVER, SINCE THE DEMO UNIT DOES NOT HAVE A MODEM(HARDWARE) ,SIM WILL NOT WORK. :crying:
STEPS:
1. Download odin: https://odindownload.com/download/Odin3_v3.14.1.zip

WiFi Hotspot toggle with root..

Let me start by saying I have FoxFi and I know it works fine, but I want just the Hotspot toggle to work.
I have my Note 3 rooted and the HotSpot toggle added, but I get the Verizon "no subscription" message every time I turn it on. Can you use a SQL editor and modify something to get around that error? I noticed in the global database within settings.db that tether_run_required = 0 already... I thought that was the thing to change, but it's already 0.
Any thoughts?

I'm not sure what the edit is but if you ask in one of the ROM threads someone will surely know. You could always install a ROM other than stock that has the Hotspot bypass enabled.

Just want to say thanks for the "X tether" xposed module suggestion. It did exactly what I wanted on 4.3 too. Now I just tap the Hotspot toggle and it works . No more using Foxfi app directly.

Missing data mobile quick access in notification

Hello everyone. I bought a Galaxy Note 4 N910P one week ago. And then I recognized that it doesn't have mobile data quick access in notification on Android 5.1.1
I searched Google and Samsung says it is general error on android 5.1.1 of any devices. Samsung promised that they will fix it in the future. I think that I can't wait for them. So anybody in here can tell me how to solve the problem? Thanks so much

I gained that notification by flashing SaintZ93's OBAR rom for 5.1.1 and then clicking Add all notification toggles inside the idoneapps application. This gives you all possible notifications and the one you are looking for. Not sure how else you would do it besides tripping the knox counter and rooting/flashing.

You can add that toggle yourself on pretty much any ROM by using SqLite Editor and accessing the settings.db really no need to flash a different ROM.
