Hey guys i just updated my g2 to lolipop using the lg flash tool and i didn't saved the photos, and it looks like it deleted them all is there any way to restore them?
Unfortunately you had to make a backup of the photos, now they're gone, remember to backup everything you need in the future.

Hey there, I'm new at this forum.
I'm using a I9505 S4 and yesterday I changed ROM for first time.
Now I'm working with 4.4.2 Paranoid 4.3 Beta 3.
I made a backup with JS Backup and I restored it today.
Call history where restored perfectly but sms/mms app didn't take the restored data.
I also restored sms with kies. What should I do. I also tried Messaging Pro as a SMS app but same result.
Any help?
Try easy backup

Hey everyone,
I am using a S5 G900H and I recently switched ROM from SpaceRocket v4 to Genesis ROM.
I had kept some photos and videos in Private Mode when I was using SpaceRocket, and after flashing Genesis ROM without taking a nandroid (I know, I am a fool), I couldn't get Private Mode to work because it had Xposed. So after installing XSecureStorage module, I tried turning Private Mode ON and it worked, but I am unable to see any of my photos in the Gallery.
Is my data completely lost and cannot be recovered?
Also in the Gallery, there are some thumbnails which are completely gray, and don't open at all.
Is there any way to recover those pictures?
BUMP
Anyone, please help.
Could try software for recovering lost photos, but chances are they're gone

Always backup first, as you now know
Hi,
I was on stock 4.4 (with root), I have just updated to stock 5.0.2. When updating, I was asked if I wanted a backup, I said yes.
Update was fine, and of course I lost root. I prefer not to get root again. Now I am getting low on space, I see in Storage and Misc category has 7.1GB, and inside that System Data is 5.6GB. I suspect this is at least in part the backup...
Any idea how to delete the backup? I looked in LG Backup Service but it only lets you BAckup or REstore, no delete old bakcups. ...
This is getting to worry me.
thanks!

Either ROOT your device again and manually empty it or Try Factory Reset your device. Misc category would show what's in your Internal Memory and not in System.
During Upgrading, Backup option lets you backup your media, certain apps etc. Its nothing like you couldn't recover. Just wipe your device again, no harm but make sure you've all your media or contacts backed up somewhere.
