After lollipop update I get low fps in candy crush. If I connect to USB cable and play while the phone is charging I get smooth fps. If I disconnect cable then goes back to low fps immediately.
Please help

I don't get this mate. What ROM are you running ? Are you rooted? Did you restore the app using titanium ? Do you have anything turned on like power saving mode ? Could be that the CPU is clocking down and you're noticing the lack of fps.
Give us some more info.
I know that if install candy crush it'll work fine, so must be your set up.

Running all stock. It happends when percentage goes below 30%.

Then that's the device going into power saving mode and it's clocking down the cpu.
In all fairness I don't usually see that on any game. Weird that, turn off power saving see if it helps.

I have a friend who got a wildfire.
Usually his batterylife was good, like two days without a charge. Then he started using spotify a while ago. When he uses spotify the drain is higher of course.
But yesterday his phone started to act kinda sluggish and draining power constantly without spotify on. I installed watchtower to see if there's a process who draws much CPU.
The only thing i could find was the com.android.provider.settings averaged abour 20 % constantly.
Anyone who have this problem or maybe have a fix for it?
He's running stock froyo rom.
=)
just tell him switch to customized ROM. CM7 rocks!!
Well. He's worried about something
Going wrong.
But I solved the problem. Usb debugging was on and caused the drain
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
high power drain
thanks i have the same will try usb debugging off and see what happens
the bigger power consumer is 3g/4g radio.
Switch to 2g only mode and you will see
Put the 3g in game only when you really need the speed.
Usb debug mode - how this could drain your battery when is not connected - but i'll try this
And yes cm7mod is superb even without any appkiller or over/under clock app... (build #20 right now)
Hi all,
I would like to ask you(with better skills than me) something about my LG device. Once I got up after listening to music my device was approximately 42celsius degrees and i had to turn it off for 30 mins to get it on a normal temperature. After that I realized my device battery is draining so fast. I don't know why....my idea is that: because of the high temperature or it's a software bug. I plug my phone off at 6:30am and after using it a little I only have maximum 20% at 4:00pm. I'm using Alegen's 5.0.1 rom and all the people who use it said they haven't got a problem like me. I downloaded CPUz and it says my battery life is good. So please help me because I don't know what to do.
Sorry about my English.
42 is a verry low temp. My G2 have 45 in idle, doing nothing. Dont worry, there is no pb with battery

Thanks for your answer but what should I do with my battery draining? I'm using it on a very low brightness and wifi is turned off,etc...
Make a nandroid backup and then try reflashing to stock after a full battery charge. Use the phone until 5-2% and then fully charge it. Then use as normal and see if it helps. If that hasnt helped it could be battery issues.
Also when the phone heats up is it near the top beside the camera?

Mine heats on same place, so i think its CPU/GPU there, as battery is lower than that, so its normal

Maybe you have some apps which keeps your device awake, try with another rom/kernel kombination (dont use 5.0 roms to test battery as battery is better on stock based roms)

99% of the time this is the case - a rogue app running, or one of its services, keeping the phone awake and running in the background.
OP, try this: reset the phone to factory settings, restart it and then just leave it like that for 30 minutes or so. Don't even enter your SIM PIN or anything. If the phone is still heating up, the unit is defective and requires service (it is not impossible that the battery is shorting out somewhere somehow).

Under factory reset you mean I have to backup the original LG software or my lollipop rom is good?
No, just try resetting to factory defaults (obviously, back up everything important), you can do it either through the menu or the recovery.

Do you have any apps that might autostart when you plug it in?
Like battery monitoring apps that promise to "improve" performance.
Hi i do t have any battery monitoring apps. Any advise? The swiping kida lags when charging.. like when fliping through flipboard its not as fast as when not in charging..
Are you on a custom rom or kernel?
Some kernels have the option to set the processor frequency lower or higher while charging.
From what I know of it is a protection for overheating.
When you charge your phone it will get hot. When you start doing stuff on your phone it will get even hotter.
So to make sure it will not overheat, they clocked your fequency lower. If you want to change it then tweak it in a custom kernel.
Need help.. i hsve my s4 rooted but no binsry on supersu. What custim jernek do i need to fix this lag?
Hi,
I'm a Samsung Galaxy S4 user (I9500XXUGNF6). with rooted stock rom (4.4.2) installed.
After the battery level %25-%30; screen render rate drops dramatically (in app's like Candy Crush Saga)
When i plug the charger, it returns to normal. Or when the battery is full or nearly full.
This occurs almost two weeks on my device.
No background processes, wiped ram repeatedly.
Restarted the device and tried,
Wiped cache partition... But no solution.
I'm waiting for your advices.
Thanks all.
It's obviously some battery saving feature which activates at around 30%.
Plugging the charger deactivates the thing because it doesn't require battery anymore.

The rom has an in-built battery saver. I think it was called Power Save. It should be in the status bar on stock kitkat roms.

Thanks but i never use that option and checked again and it is still deactivated.
it may be related to DVFS. Dynamic Voltage something. It's basically a performance limiter. Try disabling that.

disabled dvfs..i was hopeful about that solution but not worked for me..
i will reflash the rom again i think..
My s10+ is with me since 2 or 3 weeks now
Now the adaptive power switches to medium power saving at just 68%
Is this correct?

Should only do it under 25%

It was at 25% exactly when the phone was new
Now it switches randomly
From couple of days it switches at around 50% then today it switched at 68%
It switches based on your usage, if it notices your usage is lazy in certain apps or during certain hours of the day then it will enable power saving, it's nothing you have to worry about and it gets better with time.
Where are you seeing this information? The only thing I'm noticing is that my screen resolution keeps changing from the highest to medium. I'm getting great battery life and I'm never in a pinch so why it keeps changing is annoying more than anything.
Edit: I found it and turned it to high performance. Then I hesitated but turned on adaptive too. I'll watch it for a couple of days and may turn it off.

You are seeing change in res and the phone switches to medium power saving mode and the default settings for this medium mode is FHD+ res
You need to change that then choose optimized again

Turn off adaptive power saving, that thing automatically changes your power mode depending on your usage. When you turn it off it won't change your power mode anymore. View attachment 4735427

I have done that and it is not switching anymore
But am wondering is the adaptive power mode have any other benefits than just switching?

Don't think so, I think it just monitors your usage and changes the power mode accordingly. Annoying this is that it changes the resolution too which it says that it won't do.

There's another adaptive power mode feature integrated in Android, they work well together.
If you set your Medium power saving resolution to the one you use by default then there's absolutely no reason for you to keep Adaptive power saving disabled, you won't feel any performance loss yourself, launching a game or app that is known to need the full performance will automatically switch back to Optimal, I recommend you keep it on.

My only problem is that it limit the CPU to 70% with no need while the battery is very high
Yesterday I recharged my mobile and it kicked in at 90% battery heheheheeh

Not at all just it affects overall smoothness of the ui
And it does not really conserve my battery as I don't use the full CPU power even in optimized or high performance modes

But it doesn't, the UI isn't even skipping frames on medium power saving, are you sure it's not just placebo?

I cant say for sure frankly
But it is not the ui it can be felt in some applications like Facebook for example or the xda forums app sometimes it skips frames when moving from page to page

Well yeah, badly optimised apps are going to feel the lower frequencies, I personally don't use those two and everything else has been fine.
