Hi to everybody, first to start my ask I want to ask sorry for my bad english.
, describe my situation. I broke my touch screen and I want change it, so I disassembled my phone for watch how it is inside. After remounted everything... phone doesn't turn on....rather to be more specific I obtain a white screen that disappears after a few of seconds.
I read on the net, that maybe there is some piece that isn't connected. I control everything but is all ok.
BUT!! The strange thing is that from today, the phone doesn't charge, I obtain "red led of the death", how it's possible?
Check YouTube for nexus 4 LCD/ Digitize replacement Video''
I alredy watch it, so I make this video:

hi guys i have just bought a used MDA (wizard) and i have a problem, the screen keeps fading to white with vertical lines, if i turn the screen off and on with the power button it comes back fine then does it again after a while, it has been really bad today doing every 20 seconds or so, any ideas ?
thanks in advance
To me it looks like a loose flat cable...
If you're brave enough, and your Warranty time span is over, you could disassembly your Wizard, disconnect and reconnect everything, and see if the problem is solved.
Other than that, your LCD could be damaged (internally) or even some image controller...
Sorry if I can't help you much, as I am no eletronics technician
P/S: google for "Wizard Disassembly", you should find a russian site with detailed PDF showing you, step by step, how to disassembly the Wizard.
Hey there!
my friend has one of these HTC Touch, accidentally it fell on the floor when she was partying..
the display broke down... I changed the display but it works like 5 minutes and than it says that it needs to be calibrated, so we perform the calibration, but at this time I can´t even pass through the calibration. Have to do the calibration a couple of times and than it works fine again...
another time it when I tried to send some sms another calibration request came out, but this time it worked again after first recalibration..
It´s not very user friendly when you have to do the display calibration again and again....
Please any solutions??
touchscreen is probably loose because of the fall
try pushing the sides of the screen, it might snap itself in its position
yes i hadbsame problem....sometime it worjk and sometimes not.
(google translate):
not a few minutes, even the first problem, I thought the silvery on top of the screen display would be a film, it had settled a bit now, I have noticed that the touchpad is probably a way which responds to the stylus, it only reacts even if I pressures on the htc logo, otherwise, as indeed are among the contacts, how can I re-ordered or re-stick?
LCD-Screen is broken or its the motherboard (maybe it's that little strip which is connected to the LCD-screen and the motherboard or the LCD-Screen itself is broken), the digitizer is probably fine, if you've a warranty on your phone then send the phone to them and say that the phone stopped reacting on your taps (tell the story in a way that it wasn't your fault, so yes I request you to lie about the issue). If you've no warranty call your insurance and tell the story (again). If that didn't worked buy a OEM LCD-Screen and find a tutorial how to replace it (calling your insurance is the best one of all 3).
lcd replacement
yes yes... I did replace the LCD display, but nothing happened. It behaves in the same way as I wrote in the first post. Think the motherboard could be broken. I gave up on it. There was no warranty so I looked for another HTC but thx a lot to all here....
Please post in the correct forum, as your problem solved closed and moved.
Hi, need some help my girlfriend through my x10 at me and cracked the touchscreen digitizer which i replaced with a genuine one.The thing is when i went to turn it on nothing happened so i charged it for about a day when eventually the red battery led started flashing sometimes but still the phone wont turn on.with more charging and disconnecting the battery etc i got the green led to come and when i turned the phone on i got a short vibration and green led but nothing else.so tried updating with seus and finally it seen my phone and told me my software was up to date so i tried to re-install but kept getting errors so still phone wont turn on and now green led does nothing.so cut a long story short i took apart the phone again and noticed the lcd had a line down the middle which seems like its cracked also.My question now is if the lcd is cracked would that be why the phone wont turn on i would of thought it would have came on but just had colours splurted all over the screen.Oh and just so you know battery is sitting at 3.7v so is well charged,im thginking the motherboard is gone, please advise me what to do next.
did she throw the phone at you coz you wrote her a letter without paragraphs?
lol,can you help me
lol not really
but it does sound like the motherboard is screwed. not sure how the 2nd screen got cracked tho.
Why haven't you taken the phone in yet? is it not on contract?
O.k., I agonised myself throug you post....
PLEASE make your first post easier to read, as there are several non-native english speakers here. (Like me ).
Can you please write something about what happened to the phone?
- Did it work fine before you repaired the touch module?
- Why was the old module defective (Did the phone fall down or did anybody sit on it).
- Is there some waterdamage?
The more information, the better....
The phone was working fine but my son said the touch screen was working off and on. Now it doesn't come on at all. I am trying to find out if the phone needs a new lcd screen or maybe it's just a cable causing the phone not to work. We tried the reset, took out battery/sim card and still nothing happens on the phone. The screen is still a grayish white. It seems to be charging. When we put the battery back in it vibrates like it wants to turn on. Any help with this problem would be appreciated.
Still bad
Hi, hope you fixed the phone, sounds like a bad flex, you can get a new one from eBay (about 16Dlls).
Changing the flex isn't that difficult but you must be VERY CAREFUL or you can damage some phone internals, there is a service manual but i think you cant watch some disassembly videos on youtube, they're better.
Hello,
At first sorry for my poor English, i hope You will understand me
I have a problem with my Samsung S4 I9505. When i'm trying to start up phone, LCD shows image only for half a second, like flash. After that it's black, but phone start up normally, touch works, vibration too.
I tried factory reset, it didn't change anything. I also tried new software by Odin, it didn't changed anything.
I also dissasemblied phone and cleaned a plug and a socket from lcd, but LCD is still black.
There's something weird with it, because when phone is working and i pull out battery, LCD shows image for half a second like when the phone is starting.
Phone have never dropped, wasn't flooded etc. It looks like new one
I think it's some hardware failure, but it would be good to be sure what part i have to buy.
Thanks for help
