Hi Guys,
Is it possible for I337 owners to install the 5.0.1 stock rom for I9505 (I9505XXUHOB7).
Thanks,

Thanks a lot, I'll put future posts over there.
I agree that i337 and i9505 are exactly same, hardware wise. However, it was intriguing to notice that no blogs have come up in the past weeks with tutorials to do that. I was curious if there's something I am not following given by amateur experience. Please clarify.
Also, can an i337 be converted to i9505 for good? So that the updates for i9505 can be installed via kies on an ATT S4?
thanks

That could be possible I remember regular s4 users got Google play s4 update notification when they used stock firmware

I'm sorry to be posting this, as I am not conversant with the various terms used here like firmware, kernels, ROMs etc... so here goes:
I am interested in buying the Samsung Galaxy S4 Duos i9502 which is only launched in China.
I understand that China androids do not have google apps, which means no play store, which means no FB, Whatsapp etc.
So now there's an official ROM from Samsung for the i9502.
My question is: What does that mean?
1) If I root the phone using this firmware, I will get google apps and the related apps? Meaning this will become any other international kind of phone?
2) Can I just upgrade the firmware without rooting? So if google apps was originally not present, after updating it will still be absent, or will it appear now?
I'm not sure if my questions are understandable, but would appreciate any clarifications I can get.
Thanks in advance!

We cannot flash anything that hasnt been signed/compiled by LOKI.
Oh Duh I forgot this forum is merged with Canadian variants of our device haha
The Canadian i337m doesn't require LOKI.
I know we can flash i9505 ROMs (as long as we don't flash their modem) but not sure about the TMO ones.
I'm hoping for some T-mobile roms to be signed by LOKI. While I have/getting it today a AT&T SGS4, my provider is T-mobile.
According to the following link "GT-i9505, Canadian SGH-i337M, and T-Mobile SGH-M919 are all compatible (meaning you can install ROMs from each other!!! e.g. you can install T-Mobile ROM on GT-i9505 or vice versa)".

yes, yes, yes, yes, you can run those roms, yes again.
I have everything you need to know, right here..

Hello everyone,
So, I have been doing quite a bit of reading and I am trying to figure out if my version of the Note 3 is a rootable device. I have the NC4 bootloader from KK 4.4.2, but I can't tell if people are working on this or just on new versions of the NC2 version.
Sorry if I am totally out of place here or there is already another thread on this issue.
Much obliged,
Austin

First of all don't be scared posting a question the threads are pretty full of nonsense but as a noob you can't know everything (it's in the xda rules 2)
Second you need to state the model (n9005/n900t or like that) which you find in settings/general/about device as well as if you want to root keeping your phones guarantee or not.
@4aces
Thanks for your reassuring words. My Model is N900V and the Build VRUCNC4.
I am not really concerned with keeping my warranty, although it would be nice ... I just hope to find a reliable and safe method for rooting this device. I hear the Note 3 is a powerful tool when unrooted.

Title says 4.2.2, not 4.4.2 like it should. OOPS!
I really want to root my Sprint Galaxy S4 4.4.2, but I can't seem to find an updated tutorial (and I'm afraid to use an older tutorial in case it bricks my phone...). I tried TowelRoot, but it doesn't seem to work on Sprint devices. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Are you using the SPH-L720 model from Sprint? I was able to use TowelRoot on mine with 4.4.2, however it may not work on the older OS.

Yup, I'm te hardware version is L720T.03 and everything is updated (I meant 4.4.2 in the previous post, OOPS!). I just checked for all the updates and it said none available... Are there any settings that I need to change before using TowelRoot? I'll try again.
edit: towelroot says "This phone isn't currently supported"
Just wondering if you guys would be better off discussing this in the sprint forum, you may get more relevant replies

great idea. thank you. I'll try that (new to the forum!)
L720 and L720T are different devices if I'm not mistaken...one is tri-band (hence the 'T') and the other isn't.
I have the L720 and rooted by Odin with Chainfires Auto-root.
Just putting that out there...don't want your device to get messed up (if possible) by using methods that may or may not be designed for that device.
Just my 2ยข....fwiw

Thanks for the help, so i got the n9005 (used) and it came with a s5 rom, which on the whole is fine but it does have some bugs in camera and the battery timing isn't that good. Can you recommend some roms, my needs being good battery, stock look.
The buyer did mentioned that he tried on 5.0 and reverted to 4.4.2 due to bad battery timing on 5.0.
Looking forward to your reply.

Start with a basic TW Samsung based custom rom where you understand the install instructions .
Custom recovery/ kernel may void your warranty and trip Knox .
