"Device must restart to allow service to continue" Message Keeps Appearing - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

About once a week that message box appears on my phone.
Is this normal? What service is it talking about?
I'm on a rooted stock rom of 4.4.4. Sprint is my provider.

device must restart to allow service to continue...
Were you able to find a solution? I have the same issue on my galaxy s5...

My wifes Sprint Galaxy S5 (model) G900p just received this message. It was listed under network system provider "networksystemprovider".

Getting the same on my gs5 resulting in a continuous reboot loop

I have upgraded to Lollipop and the messages haven't popped up. I can only assume it's some sort of KitKat issue based on that.

[Q] Error Invalid Number text whenever I reboot

SOLVED: This was being caused by the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app. Disabling the app fixed the problem.
I recently switched from T-Mobile to AT&T, bringing over my unlocked T-Mobile Galaxy S4 (not rooted, running stock android, got the SIM unlock code from T-Mobile). After fiddling with the APN settings everything seems to be working fine, except every time I reboot I get the following text message:
From: +1121611611
122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Activate:dt=15
Any ideas? I first saw this error text the first time I rebooted my phone after switching the SIM card to AT&T, and I get the same text whenever I reboot my phone now.

[Q] can't activate

I purchased a "new" tri band s4 to replace my s4 which was supposedly new. The phone is flawless and looks completely new. I checked the stats on ##786# and everything there seemed to confirm that it was new no calls, no activation, etc.
When trying to activate it, It kept getting an "internal error" 106. After playing around with it some more, the 106 error occurs every boot whether trying to activate or not and whether the sim is inserted or not.
At this point, I noticed the phone was rooted, there was a super su icon and towelroot in the apps. The firmware that was loaded on the phone was the nc6 but when I checked the bootloader, it was NAE which is for the 720, not the triband. (knox has been tripped)
At that point, I loaded the stock firmware NC6 from sammobile and that did not resolve the problem, still receiving the error. Took the phone into sprint and they were unable to figure anything out in store after master resets, manual programming, etc.
So now, I rerooted the phone, loaded rooted stock ng5 and still receiving the error.
I cannot figure this out. Anybody have an idea? Is my phone dunzo?
After more digging around, I noticed that the hex # on the sticker under the battery (the esn I checked online and is clean) doesn't match the IMEI that is listed in the status menu (this number comes out as "in use").
I compared the Hex # and IMEI on my good S4 and they match.
Does that mean something?
Solved: The guy that sold it to me took it back.
Hope you enjoyed the thread as much as I did
I did thanks.

Service Provider Update Message with SM-G935U

Hey guys, I just recently installed the SM-G935U over SM-G935T Firmware, everything went well, it was a first time first go. the problem came after I rooted the SM-G935U. At first everything was working right, but after a couple of boot ups I started to get this message "Service Provider Update" "your device will restart to configure features supported by the new SIM card." I already did a factory data reset and that doesn't take away the message. I re-flashed the SM-G935U and it worked, message was gone, at first I thought i had to do with the security policy updates, since I forgot to turn it off the first time. So I turned it off and re-rooted the phone but same thing, after a couple of boot ups the message comes back again. and the problem is that you can do anything on the phone because the message is always there, if you take out the SIM card, everything works normal, but as soon as you put it in the message comes back again. even with the SIM card inside the phone everything on the background seems to work fine, I even get better service that with the SM-G935T firmware, so my question is, what is it that i need to freeze so I don't get this message again, because even when hit OK, the only thing it does is tries to updated but receives an error message and sends you to recovery mode. and when you restart the phone message is still there.
I'll appreciate any help, i would like to try other things before i re-flash The SM-G935U but without root.
Thanks In Advance.
OK I think I found a solution hopefully if someone has this same issue will help them.

Problems after new Android 7.0 update on Samsung Galaxy s7

Hello, so recently I bought a refurbished samsung galaxy s7 (Verizon version) and I live in Europe, Republic of Moldova. So, the phone is unlocked and working global (that says) and I have some problems. When i got the phone it had android 6.0. Everything worked fine, the sim, ussd codes, 3G internet. I didn`t have any verizon crap or apps.
After that, i`ve upgraded to android 7.0 via Odin. I downloaded an official android for verizon s7. Now, with android 7.0, when i open my phone, i get the verizon greeting message (like welcome and verzion logo).
Then, everytime i restart the phone i get the message that my sim is not from verizon wireless. Now, i can`t call any USSD codes (for example *200# that is the code for checking my sim balance). It just shows that it calls the ussd code and then says that the number is incorrect. Also, i can`t connect to the internet. I tried to find the Acces Point Names, but they are nowhere (like this function was deleted).
Also, in my settings app, i have 2 unknown options. T roaming and Service provider Giga LTE, KT twophone service and whenether i enter them, my settings app just crashes and it wants to restart it.
Also... i have a lot of verizon apps..
I tried going to my SIM carrier and they said they dont know how to solve it.
Please help me! Thanks in advice! :3
