hi. well, i expected this and im doomed.... i had my phone in the fastboot mode and i tried everything i could. i tried the solution and now what happened is the phone is dead.
what happens now is well nothing. it does not power on, it does not go to download mode, it does not go to recovery, it does not even go to the fastboot mode.
when i connect to pc, via usb cable, only thing that comes on my pc is multiple like 10 new drives and it asks me to format them before use. the screen turns on but only show black color. it does not even show LG logo. only black color. when i remove usb and press and hold power button phone turns off. its not even charging.
can any one tell me any solution to this?
See in general there is a thread. If you see multiple partitions then its still fixable. See the thread from no download mode etc as title

Make sure the phone is turned off. I had the same issue. Press power button for 15 seconds or so. Then press volume up,then connect to pc/laptop. It will enter dl mode.

Agreed - I've also experienced this. The phone doesn't power down if you're still connected via USB, so make sure you've unplugged it, and then ensure that you're powered down by holding the power button for a while. Then, while holding down VolUp, connect the USB cable. You may need to try this a few times.

i installed the ROM listed below and it does not turn on. any idea ? is there special way to turn on the phone after using this ROM ?
i connect the USB cable and it does not show link light on the phone. is my phone dead now ?

try reflash it again. if you can't boot it on, hold vol down + power.
i can not flash it caz it does not reconize the USB connection. when i plug the usb cable to computer, it does not show any link light.

did you try to plug the usb while on the boot screen? if not, turn it off, then hold vol down button + power buttons
reinstall stock rom with SD card.
so? did it work?
could be bent battery pin or discharged battery.
check pins, and if not that, leave battery out for half hour, then put on charge with wall charger. leave it alone to charge, don't be trying it "just to see" after 5 mins.
my phone is not reconizing USB.
i taken out the battery several time but it now seeing anything. . on the phone side, it does not show it is charning etc.
when i press "volume down + power ", nothing happens..
only thing happens when i connect USB, my PC is searching for the drivers
QUALCOMM MSN driver & i do hear the usb plug sound from my pc. when i run microsoft syn, it not seeing my phone.
any idea?
thanks
Off topic but i'm so used to video game forums that I thought it said you needed help boosting

..and the screen stays black, right?
Are you sure you flashed that rom in your OP? cos that behavour sounds more like a non tmous radio, which bricks tmous phones.
Were you careful when flashing? if there are more than one nbh file in the folder when you run teh flash, it will flash the first one alphabetically.
yes, that is correct. it flashed it non tmobile ROM.
is there a way to roll back previous version ? or do anything to make my phone work again ?
no, radios with ..51.. in the version number kill tmous, No one has even managed to start the phone again, let alone fix it.
So, I've been trying to restore my phone after some modding gone bad...but now, I've gotten to the point where I can't even get to the green battery screen. My phone won't turn on, and it'll only display this screen with a phone icon connecting to a yellow triangle which is connecting to a computer.
Has anyone gotten this before?
More importantly, is this fixable? Or am I gonna have to file an insurance claim for a "phone that got dropped in a lake" this week?
Use the search option. It will do wonders. This has happened plenty of times before. ODIN can fix the problem.
1. Take out battery, put it back in. (to turn the phone fully off)
2. Don't turn it the phone on!
3. Plug the phone into your PC, do not hit the power button!
4. See if the phone shows anything on the screen
IF the phone screen does show the battery charger or something else on the screen after being plugged in without you hitting the power button, so far so good.
5. Now while it's on like this, hold the volume up and volume down buttons.
6. Hold the power button as well as the volume buttons until the screen goes black.
7. As soon as the screen goes black, let go of the power button! But DON'T let go of the volume buttons!

The best luck i had getting my phone into download mode was pulling the battery, putting it back in. holding vol up+down and plugging it in. instead of going to charging, it goes to download immediately.
All messages related to "3 hardware key combo to get back to download mode so that you can use ODIN to restore", or "use adb to get to download mode so you can use ODIN" only work when the 3 hardware key combo work in the first place, or your PC can recognize the phone for adb to work
I am one of the unlucky one that does not have this 3 hardware key combo working, and am also in this sad state (Phone-!-PC). As a result, PC is not seeing the phone, so adb is out of the question right now
My phone has been like this since last Thursday (a failed attempt to use ODIN to flash JAC's OC/Ext4 kernel). All my reading so far does not give me a fuzzy feeling that I can ever get back to Download mode (ON MY PHONE)
I called my carrier for a replacement, and it should arrive this morning...
If someone can actually get to download mode WITHOUT the 3 hardware key combo OR adb access, I would love to know how
Had the EXACT same problem. Here is how I fixed it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7640152&postcount=4
Glad that this work for you
But not for me, for some unknown reason
No SIM
No SD Card
Pulled battery out
Make sure screen is off
Put battery in
Hold Volume up/down
plug USB cable to phone
plug USB cable to PC
Bam! Phone-!-PC
Update: Got my replacement phone.
Have SIM in
Have SD Card in
Leave Battery in
Turn off Phone
Hold Volume up/down
plug USB cable to phone
plug USB cable to PC
Instant Download mode!
Just as I read, it's a luck of the draw whether you have a TMobile Vibrant that has the 3 button key combo disabled. My first one doesn't have it. My second one does
I have had my Acer A500 for about two years and now it won't turn on.
I left it sitting on my kitchen table when I went away for a weekend; when i got back, I plugged it in and let it charge over night. The next morning I tried turning it on with no luck. :crying:
When I press the power button the white light will turn on, but nothing shows on the screen. Holding down the button turns the light back off. If i have it "on" and press the reset button the light will turn off for a second and then turn back on. The screen still stays blank.
I have been googling this for days, but only finding people saying it's in APX mode. But, how did it get that way? ADB doesn't see it. A500 manager doesn't see it. I have installed the drivers from ACER. When I plug my tablet in to my computer, the only thing it sees is the ACER picasso USB boot-recovery driver.
Anyone please? I really can't afford repairs or a new tablet. :fingers-crossed:

seems like you are not really getting into APX mode, try switching it off, and then try holding the power button AND reset at THE SAME TIME. This should make computer see an APX device pops in your PC... if not then, I'm not gonna say it dude.

so first here's what happend,
my phone was on charger, on a mattress, at night it fell down from it, about 8 inches from the ground, in the morning when I woke up, my phone was on the LG logo, turning on and off, doing the same, tried to turn it off, no respond, unplugged the charger and phone give no respond to any action (tried holding the power button for 30 seconds or more but nothing)
I plug it into the usb cable, the logo shows up once, then the red LED start blinking
I left it charging for a day or two, but nothing, been 10 days since that happend
when I try to access download mode, the download mode icon does show up but disappear after 4 seconds and back to the red LED
note, my phone is not rooted and debug mode is not enbaled

Okay, weird problem here. I'd like to unlock the bootloader on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2019, but can't seem to recreate the blue screen asking if I'd like to enter download mode or unlock the bootloader. I've read that I should press both volume keys and plug in the device while holding the keys until that blue screen appears. However, for me this doesn't do anything except "boot" the charging thing (where you see the current battery percentage), I held the keys for about 30 seconds but didn't get anything different. When I press Power + Volume up I get that Android Recovery screen, but can't seem to unlock the bootloader from there either. I tried rebooting to bootloader, but that just gave me the download mode instantly (on a black screen with my tablet logo) - this way I also had no choice to unlock the bootloader. Anyone know what I should do here? I'm kind of stuck
Edit: fastboot oem unlock just tells me it's waiting for device, however adb can find my device (OEM unlocking and USB debugging is on)

With the tablet off, plug the cable into a PC only. (not a charger) Then, while holding down both vol up and down, plug the cable into the tablet. After a couple of second, the screen should appear with the unlock option instructions.

I am doing that, but the tablet just shows the charging animation that appears when the device is off. By the way, the device is on Android 11, is that maybe the problem somehow?

It has nothing to do with what version of Android you are on. It should enter the download mode before Android even starts to load. Have you tried using another USB cable? They can be very touchy about detecting the data connection rather than just power. As I said, I don't have a 290, but on my 500 it helps to connect to the PC via a USB 2.0 hub rather than directly to the PC.

I now tried 3 or 4 different cables with no luck. I'm still assuming that it has something to do with the software, and I noticed today that the tablet actually runs OneUI Core, whatever that means.
