I hate to break it to you but you most likely have a hardware defect, and it will most likely reappear sooner or later.

And its not my wifes!! lol. vibration just stopped. i flashed back to ru and still wont work on anything. not on bootup or when u switch to it or typing. i belieive its broke, but just want to make sure its not software issue. i dont see how it could be.
sounds like a hardware issue.. hope you have insurance!
i have insurance, but its only a month old so its under warranty. have to take it to sprint store.
I have the same problem; but mine seems to be hit and miss. A battery pull can remedy it for a couple days...but I must admit, I am QUITE prone to dropping my phone
so i dropped my phone from maybe 2 feet in the air, and the button just stops working altogether. no matter how hard or long i press the button, it doesnt respond at all. how can i fix it?
*bumppppppppppp*
Off course everything is fixable, certainly if rest of phone is working correctly.
You will have to open up your phone (break warranty) and investigate.
It could be simple, but it could also bee that your Motherboard needs replacing.
Al in all You could try to fix it, but I reccomend turning it in for repair, thus leaving warranty intact.
If there are no obvious markings, scars from the fall, do not mention it has fallen. You cuold be in luck and get it repaired under warranty (assuming you still have warranty)
ok,so tmobile is sending me a replacement phone and i know i have to unroot back to stock and everything..but some of the problems i told them about with the phone was about the loose hinge problem on the keyboard, calls being sent to missed call as soon as the phone rings. They said that if there isnt any major problems with the phone when they receive it, that they would charge me a fee of 107$ what can i install on the phone to make it completely replaceable? or am i fine? should i intentionally brick the phone?
There isn't any physical damage internally ? The speakers work, camera works etc ?
A master reset/wipe should take care of the call problems. Sounds like a software issue... id imagine they charge you for this one.
I'm on my third in a month, and its great again finally.
1st: pinked out screen/ribbon with lost pixels
2nd: canera lens cover had a defect on the inside, couldn't take clear pictures.
I have exchanged 3 g2s now. Process is smooth and easy as described. Intentionally bricking the phone is wrong, immoral.
even if they dont find a major problem they cant force you to give the money...u can tell them to send it back and you send theirs back...no harm no foul...but i cant condone anyone of intentionally bricking a phone for this purpose...who knows they might find out u bricked it purposely and charge u anyway (just hypothetical for argument sake)
Alright so, i woke up to find my tablet on the floor, just a 40cm drop.
1 cm of the screen from the bottom seems to have bad response at first.
Do you guys think there is something wrong with the screen itself / internals after the drop or is it just coincidentally a software issue?
I have warranty still available but is there a fix that i can go through with or do i just need to go and get it replaced?
Warranty.
If you manage to patch it up now, it may fail again when out of warranty.
Man something such as dropping doesn't affect the software. The only reson its called software is because you can't harm it by dropping obviously a hardware fault, go for replacement or repairing, before you accidentally or coincidentally run out of it.
Alright! Thanks for your replies guys! I'll go down to the service center tomorrow to get it fixed.
Cheers!
Hello,
So I have had this issue for a pretty long time, but now I really get bothered by it since I also pay for YouTube Premium.
What I have tried so far:
- Factory reset via settings
- Deleted app data (cache, etc.)
- Uninstalled and reinstalled YouTube
- Downloaded the latest version available with Frija and flashed with Odin
The issue occurs very random. For example, if I watch a 10 minute YouTube video nothing strange happens. But if the next video is 1 minute, 10 minutes, 1 hour, doesn't really matter the issue occurs.
It closes the YouTube app, just goes to the home button. Screen and the touchscreen also has been replaced by my insurance company.
Please help me.

Meh? What do you mean?
It was dropped?
Mobo may have been damaged as well.

I forgot to mention a little bit of more history.
I also had issues with connectivity (sometimes I didn't have reach, could not call, couldn't been called and 4G didn't work either). I went to the Samsung store in Rotterdam, and theey immediately said that the motherboard needed to be replaaced. The first time I sent the phone to the insurance company, I had broken glass (screen, and back of the phone) and the phone returned with this being repaired. I still had the YouTube issue and the connectivity issues.
Second time I told them that I had again a broken screen (this time with the touchscreen also not functioning, like totally dead screen), but no back glass damage. I still sometimes had issues with connectivity and have told them this.
The phone arrived yesterday with again repaired screen. I haven't had the time to test the connectivity issues since this YouTube issue alone is already frustrating me.
I think I am going to the Samsung store and ask if it is included in my warranty. If not, I will try to fix the YouTube issue myself. But if the connectivity issue still occurs I will send it again to my insurance company.
Is there a handy app or software solution to test the connectivity and or motherboard?
Can't undo what's been done. If the future always use a good case. It protects the outside, and inside. High G impacts can damage the mobo. BGA chipsets are vulnerable and impossible to inspect for damage for all practical purposes.
My Note 10+ has taken about half a dozen 2-4 foot drops onto concrete in it's Bolt case with zero damage.

Make sure all power management is disabled as this will cause erratic behavior. It may be a 3rd party app. Try using the factory load versions before updating for system and 3rd party apps.
Roll back to factory version if needed.
Use Device Care>memory to see what apks are on top right after a crash. It may give you a clue to the cause.

The phone currently is empty. Like there are no third party apps. I will bring the phone to Samsung Service Center tomorrow and see if they will renew the motherboard.
