Does anyone know the speed on it, since a lot of my high read apps have huge issues with my transformer. I wanted to also know if there was anyway to point or force them to run off my class 10 card I got in it.
Its not a hard drive, its NAND flash memory and it should be as quick or quicker than your SD card

Weird, for some reason my tablet seems to be getting slower and it's driving me nuts. Now I am not sure if it's the custom rom or not, maybe I should just say nuts to it and get rid of root and reload the stock rom.
Is there a way to test the read wright speed so I can double check?

Do you have a task killer running? If you do, then that's most likely the culprit.

Nope, the biggest issues are when just pictures or chandroid is running. They move fine but slow to a crippled crawl in a bit, as for a task killer I don't have any unless it comes stock off the custom rom.
Honestly it is annoying as hell when it gets to a craw and then force close over and over.

No, they both work fine on my nook and my hd2 and my other tablet. It's just the newest one I got (ie the transformer) that I started to notice the issue. I worked with the dev from chandroid and we tried everything and he said as he looked over the crash report that there was nothing wrong with the app.
On the stock build of OS, he said it was an issue being caused by splashtop stuff. Is there anyway to rip every program out by the core needed to run and let me add them one at a time to test?

If you're rooted, you should just be able to uninstall stuff with Titanium Backup.. but make sure you backup the app first.

Aye, I got root. I was hoping to find out if there was a rom that was just barebones. So more or less do a full backup and then pull them all out and test it one at a time? I can just do a backup in clockwork mod.
I am just reaching a head with being annoying and asking for help.

Yeah, I'm not aware of a super barebones rom. Full backup and uninstall one by one is what I would do.

What is the best way to remove anything/everything? Cause if I got it backed up and if I blow the OS I can just do a recovery.
The easiest way would be to freeze the app with titanium backup, you could also just manually rename it or delete it.

Should be obvious. Does it look and act identical to the transformer?
Once thing I have found is that apps can run well on older versions of android but have issues with honeycomb. Like cut the rope, it crashes and is slower to load on the tablet but blazes on my evo. Asked the dev and he said its not yet developed for honeycomb.
My TFs internal memory is plenty fast.
Just root it without someones Rom. Stock would be your goal to see if a Rom affects it.
Watchdog from the market would help. It would show you what apps are running and how much they are using the Cpu
When I use Dolphin HD or Pad I can see when it's hanging up...not loading the page then..it dies lol freaking apps.

I will try that, honestly I just want a way to see what's going on with it. I am not sure if it's using all the memory or what with all the images it loads. Since my problems always come from mass images loading.
Possibly just eating up your RAM then - the SSD shouldn't be (that) active if it's image loading and not saving.

Well like with just pictures, it's a big display of thumbnails for viewing your images. I know it can cashe the data to make it faster but that just seems to make it slower, as for chandroid the longer I use it the slower it gets. So maybe it's not purging old data?
so, the only issue i really had with my a500 was playing flash facebook games didnt work in gb, didnt work in HC and guess what it doesnt work in ICS. so, i am seeing NO improvement.

This is nothing new, where did you see it would be supported. A tablet does not have the power to run embedded games in facebook. Hell, my netbook would choke on them so bad I stopped trying.

Sorry but this is incorrect. Facebook games do work. Which ones do work is probably hit and miss but I tested a couple earlier using opera 12 on stock ics. Games all loaded correctly and I even played one for a few minutes.
Cheers
Edit: I just checked another game. Bubblewitch saga worked OK after I finally managed to click the button with my enormous fingers haha.

Mine is currently on it's way from Singapore, there are 4.1 and 4.2 finless roms available for it, and it is pre rooted but it seems it's not properly rooted because by default you don't get full root.
I ordered one for myself --> Finless ROM is available so far.
Delivery shoud be in 7-9 days.

got mine 2 weeks ago. It doesn't come prerooted. I flashed Finless 1.4 (4.2.2) and it is working great and stable. The flashing process is quite easy and straight forward. One negative point is (but this is the case for all RK3188 sticks) that the official stable XBMC 12 doesn't work. You need to use XBMC 13 which currently is at Alpha V7 stage and often crashes. Ohterwise very happy with the device

Have a question for you guys as reading how you too flashed bobs JB 4.2 ROM. As you know there are choices for space of the apps. 2,4,6 gb. I first tried the 4gb. But when I did. The box on that choice went from green to dark blue. Everything else remained green. Tried to flash and it got a error message. So flashed and just left that line alone with the default 2gb. This time it flashed no problem. But now I'm stuck with 2gb. So Gona refresh. Is it normal for that box to turn blue when you make the choice? If anyone knows..please inform me. TY.

Thanks. I already asked there. Just had not received any reply yet. Searched around to see if maybe someone else has had this issue. Cant find anything. But you raise a question. Why not store those files on the ext. SD card. Or am I missing something. Thats what I do on my tab. Is that not possible on this ROM?
Thanks

AHH okayyyy, that's why then, for LARGE GAMES
if this is the case then you have to try DirectoryBind this app let's you move all the large data files of any game to the external sd card and fool the rom that these files are still on the internal memory. the app supports syncronisation of the files between the external and internal memory.
great tool, i use it and i love it.
but before you move the game data to the external sd card you have first to install and run everything on the internal.
anyway this is just a solution if you can't get the 6GB config.
why don't you flash the stock 4.1 rom, run it then flash Finless's ROM with the 6GB? i think this way you get the CX919 really FORMATTED
GOOD LUCK
So how do you guys like the CX-919?
After I have canceled my Ouya I am looking for alternatives
If you could share some information and experiences I would greatly appreciate it! :good:
Looking for stuff like boot time, lags in the OS, XBMC alpha, what setup are you using etc.

I finally got the 4gb . The directions tell you to reboot between wipe and flash. Ignored that. Did wipe. Chose 4gb. Color still changed from green to blue. But went with. Flash went ok. ROM is fine. Link2sd works. Might try directory bind if it does not cause issues with Link2sd. But DB sounds better for large games. Well time for some more testing. TY

I can tell you a little. I did not play around with the stock ROM to much. But I did flash finless 4.2. Had a little trouble with getting drivers installed. Seems that is normal deal. But it worked out. As for device. Its fast! I have not had any lockups or reboots. Video from USB thumb drive and SD card play fine. DLNA works surprisingly well. On this ROM. Netflix is not working. Crackle is not working. Real bummer. Most apps install fine and work. Buy seems like any apps that would turn it into a true smart tv device wont work. I already have a smart tv with these apps. So, that does not bother me to much. But if your going to use it for turning a tv into a smart tv. Well, Forget it. I may try the 4.1 Finless ROM. Read where people were saying these apps work on it? Will see. Anyway this is a fast great device and am having fun with games...

cx919 on stock vs Finless
I used it a bit with stock rom, now I am on Finless 1.4 (4.2.2) ..
- On stock my favorite Dice player didn't work (was showing "can't start video", even when u try to open it), some old Logitec USB camera was not detected by stick/skype, videos from external hdd plugged were playing ok.. Interesting that Antutu crashed during testing...
- Finless brought me really ugly splash screen, as well as old usb camera support in skype, which I tested and it worked pretty good during 45min conversation.. Dice player now works but in a funny way.. a bit slow.. (I saw decoding is done using software and didn't have time now to find option for hw decoding.. should be better).. It is nice that some crappy useless apps are gone, but on the other side developer added some "game mapper controler" and few other apps which are at least for me and for now useless (better would be to mention them in readme so user can download them)..This is about reboot app for example, which could be super usefull, except that it froze somehow my stick and I couldn't start it not even after hard reset.. Flash of Finless again boot it up again.. For SuperUser developer decided not to use the most popular and open source app, but at least in this rom there is root (Stock was pain in the ass to get the root, if u manage to get drivers work).. The biggest problems, however was very difficult mounting of external hdd and even usb. From USB I eventually was able to play videos, while HDD was "blinking" all the time, it even showed up in a list but when I tried to access it it was impossible.. I lost patience waiting, cause I know that on stock that was way much shorter then 3+ min I was waiting on Finless.. Beside this issues I noticed that sometimes mouse/pointer doesn't move and on stock that never happened.. Is that lockout or? This was really annoying, when u know it's quad core and on stock it worked good.. It happened that
All in all good work with some annoying issues which will hopefully be fixed with 1.5 .. Thanks to author.. Cheers

Working great and stable means it doesn't load widgets and things after boot much slower then stock? Mounting external storage like usb or hdd works? Well, I can't tell much about widgets because I'm not using any. I installed Nova launcher since the beginning.
USB sticks definitely work on mine. I am using ES Explorer and the stick gets mounted under USB0 so I only need to browse there to access it. My stick is plugged in the USB slot of my tv. I was surprised to see that the power it gets from the USb slot is enough but it works fine and is convenient because the stick starts automatically whenever I switch on my tv and turns off when I turn off the tv.
Mostly I am using the stick for watching life tv from the net (my desktop contains browser links, no widgets) or YouTube for the kids, or XBMC or watching movies which are stored on my pc

I tried with xbox 360 pad (rumblepad 2 didnt work (mapping problem)) and hl2 shut down on loading screen. Main menu work well. I think that maybe 1gb of ram on our tegra note.
I can play all the way through to the part where you jump out the window of the interrogation room (about five minutes in) but everytime I open that first door the game tries to load and then crashes. sucks because everything up to that point runs pretty damn well. it might be a lack of ram issue.
using a moga pro controller in B mode. didn't even have to map keys it just worked.

it's definitely a ram issue. I tried running a screen recording program to show you gameplay, and it would record just fine until the game tries to load. the game would crash and take the recording app and everything else along with it including my Bluetooth connection and ram monitor xposed module. if I start the game after a fresh boot and ram purge, the game will load fine and run buttery smooth until I get to a part where it needs to load again. sucks because it's perfect otherwise even on balanced power settings. nvidia really crippled the tablet with only 1gb of ram. even shield owners are complaining about the really long load times so it's no wonder the note doesn't stand a chance.

I'll reinstall the game and upload a log by tonight.
Tried Portal tonight and seemed to work fine (I managed the first few levels) unfortunately there is some sort of glitchy overlay blocking most of the screen. The game behind is running just fine though. Will see if I can grab a screenshot.
:EDIT: Just gave HL2 a shot and seems to work just fine, played about an hour with no crashes/issues. The odd stutter but that'll likely be due to the RAM differences.

I used a PS3 controller via an OTG cable. Xbox 360 controller would just spin and spin. Unfortunately though after a while the game would crash on HL2.
We would need a kernel whit swap support. Memory speed of tegra note is 11 MB ,with roehsoft ramexpander is possible expand up to 4 GB.

I tried to use some micro sd cards I haven't used for a while, but when I switch my micro SD as internal storage the OS says: the speed is too low and my phone would become pretty slow. Before I to find some high speed micro SD card in amazon my question is this:
What's the maximum reading and writing speed the micro SD port in this port can handle?
Which micro SD card model should I buy as internal storage for this phone if the speed supported by the port is beyond 20 mbs/s while reading?
Thanks in advance.
Never use a SD card for running apps.
Use as a data drive only.
Use a V30 rated card from a reliable manufacturer.

the sad thing is the apps won't use the SD card as data storage since android 6.0, my internal storage cannot hold all my apps and runs 90% storage full all the time :´c.

Move the DCIM folder to the SD card.
Weed out the trash apps if any.
Find better coded freeware apps that use less memory.
Clear browser data as needed.
Clear any large caches as needed.
You need at least 1 gb of free space.
I have a S4+ that has 16gb internal memory so I know the feeling. Probably getting to be upgrade time.

Don't know. If you were on Pie, which I doubt, stay there. I personally stick to stock for more predictable results.

Leave it there. Pie is the best version in my opinion. Android 10 would screw it up.
My 10+ is still on Pie, deliberately.

I'm getting my second new 10+ N975U today.
One reason a searched high and low for a new one was a guarantee it be loaded with Pie not Q!
Twins. Hell yeah. I will see how fast I can load the new one up. Give SmartSwitch a test run.
With the way Android is going downhill with scope storage and bloating, Pie will remain viable for years to come unless you're into gaming perhaps. Older valuable apps that can't run right on Q and above will continue to be usable.
No gross security issues at all... I know as I've ran with this OS on some of the worst websites there are using Brave and Samsung browser. Various adblockers are running.
No malware has made it through in over a year in spite of its "security issues". There have been a over a dozen maybe two of app samplings that were uninstalled with no damaged.
I'm careful with bt and keep wifi disabled... other than that I use it without concern.
At 16 months old it's my longest running OS load ever. It's been heavily used.
Still fast and very stable... no need to reload it yet. That impresses me as well as the fact it continues to fullfill it's mission and remains 100% functional.
Upgrading it would only cause trouble and lots of lost time.

My only real trouble with my S4 is the battery, in my country original batteries are long gone and the generic ones my mobile turns off at 30% and increasing over the year. I wonder which generic battery is the best of the market nowadays.

Try to find batteries made in Vietnam not China.
If your SOT has diminished greatly, replace the degraded Li before it fails.
If you get a newer phone don't get one running on Adroid 11, it's a dog.
Unfortunately the new 10+ was loaded on Android 10. That OS doesn't seem bad but caused me scramble to accommodate it. I should have seen that coming
