Hi,
I see that your app contains ads. I'm just wondering if the monetization brings you any revenue? (as users don't use your app all the time).
I think that best way to promote your app is to think hard about your target audience. They seem not to read a lot of reviews, but definitely have problems with wake ups... Maybe you should google for some forums where people discuss their problem and suggest them your app. It is called guerrilla marketing.
If you are going to attract users and then monetize them, you should know that you must have some loyal users who won't abandon the app because of ads.
If you have high retention rate, give a chance to paid methods of user acquisition (spend money - attract users - monetize users - return money).
Hi all, what do you think about promocodes as a way to promote your apps? Do you think it is a good way? Do you think promocodes should be given using a specific strategy, ie promocodes giveaway only if you review my apps?
Can you suggest me if there is a specific kind of apps that would benefit more from promocode strategy?
I'm planning to release a game app and thought it could be a good way to promote it via promocodes but would like to know other's opinions and suggestions.
A question was asked on a forum " Why does Google Admob & Facebook not work for promoting my app "
The reason admob, facebook and others are not particularly effective is because they 'exploit' app discovery by charging per install. This is a very expensive and un-scalable option for most app developers. According to a Gartner report released in January 2014, less than 0.01% of apps will be viable. That is a massive problem which should concern app developers.
App Developers need to learn the concept of broader marketing and branding and how it can be done cost effectively. So, PromotedApp Dot Com wants to help app developers achieve consistent downloads and user retention, through evangelism and branding of your app.
If you want sustainable marketing and long term discovery of your app with growing followers and sharing, then simply post your app on
PromotedApp
PromotedApp is a Visual & Social Media Startup helping solve the critical problem of app discovery and user retention. PromotedApp is like the Pinterest for apps!
Most importantly, its very affordable.. only $50.00 to post once, or $50.00 per month to create your own App Media Board. This can include all your gorgeous app screenshots, videos and articles. Developers can also message followers and users on the platform with app updates and incentives.
PromotedApp is at the beginning of helping solve a huge problem and we are developing algorithms and other attributes to help with app discovery.
It's important to realize facebook, google, twitter and co, were not built from scratch to help solve the problem of app discovery and user retention which is even more critical. What they do is exploit app discovery through cost per install, or pay per click ranging from $0.30 to $4.00. That is ok for them, but it really is not the cost effective way to scale your app brand.
App Developers should think like fortune 500 brands and understand the full spectrum of media & marketing to achieve sustainable retention with app consumers. For instance, if your app media board includes videos and article reviews about your app, users will start to integrate more closely with your app brand and share your content. This is the long term solution PromotedApp provides.
Apps can be shared and downloaded agnostically on any device and every piece of media uploaded can be followed, and also shared on major social networks.
Users can curate lifetime app boards for free, from developer postings they love. This way, your apps & updates can be downloaded more frequently, followed and shared with friends.
Hope all the above information helps App Developers learn how PromotedApp aims to help solve the problem of discovery.
We are Crowdfunding too! See the following link below if you'd like to become a Sponsor and have your app amplified as we scale! :

Hi all,
I have an app on apple AppStore, CodeNavigator.
It's a developer tool, which can read code, and has many features, git, indexing....
I know there should be many developers in the US and western countries, but why my app only sales well in China?
Can anyone give me advice to promote my app on US and Europe?
Thanks.

I've compiled a set of tips on my blog for your reference!
http://thedoplgangr.wordpress.com/2014/09/08/promoting-your-android-app-really-that-easy/
I think, one way to promote your app is to create facebook page for it and then inside app create link to this facebook page. In this case if you have some users from US, they will probably like page of your app on facebook, their friends (who are likely to be from US too) will see it and will know about your app!

We found your app on AppStore. It has awful English in its description. You even misspelled Ruby as "Rubby". We think it's the reason nobody takes your app seriously.
Also your app is only for iPhone. Every developer in US and EU has iPad, so it makes no sense to navigate over the code on iPhone. Make iPad version (or universal app).
Also we can help you to promote your app by sending its announcement to editors of app review sites all over the world (we have contacts of 940+ editors of sites that review iOS apps). See our site for more details (google for iSpreadnews). BTW we can promote Android apps too.

I'm interested in your services. Can you share some success stories of other apps you've promoted?
you can hire for any country or can get free promotions too
As my experience and im working since last 5 years for android and iTune applications.
once my app get ready there after use or hire these two web sites
1. primebuffet [dot] ( com )
2. 4xn [dot] ( org )
these both websites are best for my experience, from 1st web provide facilities of free promotions of android and ios applications
its work like app exchange. that mean you need to install app of other users and they will install your apps. further if you don't want to spent your time then you just can buy coins from from them and same can be use for promotions of your any plat form applications

thank you for the info
After you fix the ASO in your description, it probably to make sense to reach out to the 100s of developer blogs (depending on what languages your app covers) for a feature or guest post. There are so many blogs/sites out there specifically with a developer audience (and very few apps about development) that getting in touch will be much easier than if you had a gaming app.
Hello everybody!
I am new here. I am a student and writing a thesis work on mobile app marketing.
I need a help of true developers. Please let me know your opinion on some related questions.
What mobile marketing do you need in your app? what kind of app do u work with?
What is important for you in mobile app marketing?
What tools do you use for this purpose? Do they meet your requirements?
I thought no one will give me more up-to-date info then you.
Thanks in advance for your help.

These questions are unclear to me... Could you describe more what data do you need? What is the purpose of your survey?
What mobile marketing do I need in my app? You mean, how do I monetize my app?
What is important to me in mobile app marketing? If I do the marketing in my app (show the ads) I want to get money, and if I try to market my app I want to get the downloads.
What tools do I use? I show the ads with mobile advertisers SDKs, and sometimes I market my app with posting on social media, but mostly I just do ASO. I will do some paid advertising with my new game but at very low scale.
Hello, Vaktu!

I am speaking about ARM marketing funnel - but "retention" (mainly) and "monetization" parts, not aquisition of app installs. So mine focus is IN-app marketing
When app is already installed and downloaded - how to make people come back to your app and use it more? Do you send pushes, inapps, etc? If yes - what tools do you use or make coding by yourself?
If you are looking to market the mobile applications, App Store Optimization is what you need to perform. Some of its techniques which you might be aware of are:
1. Off-page activities
2. Landing page optimization
3. Keywords analysis
4. A/B testing tools
App store optimization is a must process if you want your app to get more downloads.
In my experience with mobile marketing tools I think ASO is the key factor for your sucessful marketing. App store optimization help people to find your mobile easier and faster. It increases your chances to rise app popularity, the principle the same as SEO. Optimization determines what positions you will take. Exactly it helped me with marketing of mobile app.
