First of all. Telling numbers not just personal expectation would make it easier to see if Fast Charging is already enabled but just not fast enough to your personal wish.
If it is not enabled you already got the answer how to do it - or you could have opened the settings at least once to find out on your own. It is easy to find, at least with the search function [emoji19]
Also, be sure after you check settings that you use original charger and cable and Msg fast charge pop up after you put it on charger.

Can someone help me figure out how to recharge my battery??? The other day my phone was working just fine... until it ran out of battery while i was at school. i kept trying to turn it back on and kept doing so until it was completely dead. Now the damn thing doesnt want to charge at all... i think i must have exhausted the battery completely that it cant keep a charge. It wont even turn on and wont even charge wen i plug it into the computer usb or through a wall charger. Can someone please help.
Are you using the original charger? has to have 1amp output to kickstart device. You have to leave it quite a while connected before the light comes on - up to 24hrs. If that fails use the boost battery trick - see thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=58747
hmph....
all i have to say is damn t mobile... they cant expect people to never let their battery fully drain. its almost automatic for it to happen once in a while for people. why would they release batteries that cannot charge if its fully drained and expect people to search on the internet to find answers to solves these problems themselves... oh well thanks for the help guys. ill let the thing charge for a day or so n post my results... ps i dont have the original charger. im not at home right now n ill have to check if the charger i have is 1 amp or not.
YES!
the charger thing didnt work... but using the trick where splitting the usb and charging the battery manually worked! thanks for the help! much is appreciated!
OK.
I have read the Accessories Posts, but didnt found an Solution for this.
I own an 5000mah Power Bank with USB Connectors.
Output 1A.
So, as you Guys know, if i connect such Device via USB-Data Cable it is detected by Tab as "PC-connected" and the Tab does not charge. If Tab is off, it charges quick and i am able to charge it with one Power Bank Load 1 1/2 Time.
And with my Galaxy S it works also if the Phone is on.
So my Question.
Is there any Tweak, Trick or Mod to enable the Tab to Charge it this Way?
Is it possible to modify some System settings to bring it work?
Have you checked in settings, if the battery charge doesn't go up?
It will charge using any current (even 300mA) only slower. The icon on the battery just says "I'm not connected to my proper charger", not "I'm not charging".
On JM6 and JMA the icon is also a bit better and show's it's charging but not full speed But charge rate is same as before.

Yes.
I am also using Battery Pro that displays me an Icon with Battery Load in Percent.
But the Tab doesnt charge.
Load of Akku decreases.
Yes. (Having JMA) the Stock Icon displays that an Power source is connected but still doesnt charge at all.
My Hope was, that anyone with Programming/Coding Skills is able to bring the Charging to work.
I am not nearly able to do this
I find it absolutely bad, that Samsung has made this incision to the usability of the Tab.
On my Galaxy S i can change with the same Power Bank in Operation without any Problems.
Very Pity that the Tab does not

Hi Pbruck, which power pack are you using & what's the specification for it. can you provide me with the model no.? Thank you.
Hi,
i use this:
http://www.pearl.de/a-PX5398-5542.shtml
Sorry, but have only found it in this German Shop.
Maybe you can still use the provided Informations there.
Babelfish Translation:

It says "1A (2x usb)" so you need to use 2 ports to get to the 1A.
There is no programming or modding necessary, the tab charges from anything that is powerfull enough and your crappy cheap charger is not (im just teasing you cause i ordered things from pearl before and all they sell is junk).

The toast popup for Turbocharging is, as far as I know, only present on the stock ROM. Turbocharging should be present (especially if you test with a charging app like Ampere), but if you really miss the Turbocharger popup, here's an post with a link to an app that may help: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71930804&postcount=2154

If doesn't show that message means adapter is supplying enough to charge, how long takes till phone is fully charged?

it takes longer than usual !
but with another cable , it is good
if you charge it to a laptop or sth, it will says charging slowly. same thing happens if you charge it in a wall charger that has 0.75A output or less

it depends how many mA's dev have setted to trigger rapid charge.
First of all I'm very sorry for posting on a developer Forum, I had lurked here for about a month looking for an answer and I can't find it. I wouldn't had made an account otherwise.
Here's my problem, my phone randomly stops charging (not notice neither) since the Oreo Update. I believe is because of the update because I return my old phone and bought a second phone and decided to leave it on Nougat, I decided to update it to Oreo because I missed notification badges and the day after I already had the same problem.
Things of Notice:
*Both phones where new and on the latest security patch.
*My phone does charge overnight when in wall socket but will stop charging when I used the USB on my car (my car has a USB adapter but if I charge it there, it will keep READING USB and repeating the cycle)
*Phone also stops charging when I use an extended battery. (I'm an avid Pokemon Go Player)
*Restating the phone a couple of times, fixes the issue.
Is there anything that I can do? everything else about the phone works perfectly (Facebook takes a long time to load but that's it). If there's an answer already please forward me to that post. Thanks again
Could it be because the update enabled quick charge, so now the phone requires a bigger energy output from the USB?
Does changing the cable help? If not, try doing a factory reset.

Since this is my first phone with USB type C I only have the one cable. I had notice the battery backup is charging so it seems like a problem with the car charger but I need to test it first. What charging output do I need to charge a modern phone like this?

Anywhere from 0.5A (laptop USB port) to 2.5A (tablet charger) should work. Can you test charging from a computer?

I'm sorry I answer this late, I was unable to log into the site from my phone. (forgot the pasword). I did some testing in the weekend and it did charge on my laptop, it charge extremely slow., Just 3% in like an hour. (with constant use).
I kept using it with my power bank it kept charging reliably as well as in my house. But it keeps having the some problem at the car, So here's what I'm wondering. If I use one of those 3.0 USB car chargers will it charge my phone? without a problem to my car? I don't know if this phone supports fast charging (the specs says yes but I never seen the fast charging message with the regular charging)

No worries. Yes, laptop charging is slow.
I'm not sure if the stock ROM supports fast charging but custom ones do, and it can't harm your device. I don't see why it would harm your car if it was made for it. Maybe your car's USB port broke.

I see, I'll buy one of those quick charge car chargers and if everything goes alright I'm keeping the phone. I really like the look and camera and my only annoyances with it come from Stock Android.

Thanks for posting your problem and the answer!
I have had the same reaction on one of my phones after updating to oreo.
Changing the charger from a 1A model to a 2,4A model solved the issue.
