Need Help -- How to disable S-View magnetic sensor ?

Well, I used the Google ROM Edition 4.3 untouched for nearly two months, so far so good, these days I woke up and looked at my S4 and came across this:

no key nothing I do comes out of this screen, sometimes it goes back to normal and back to this screen again, I do not know what else to do, already tried to wipe and everything until it switched the official rom and give first boot I came across this:

That S-View cover screen. that should work only with this hardware feature. by covering light sensor you get this screen, try to disable this function in settings, but normally that looks like bug.

more it can not be a hardware problem? because I thought that this function of the S-View only work on the samsung stock ROM or am I wrong? and I used the Google Edition 4.3 rom and never activated this option.

I looked about and found some people with this problem, but could not find any solution, I find strange because I never used any S-View cover, and option in settings did not work . If I try to change the rom you guys think the problem is solved?

try to factory reset first, if that will not a solution, then try other rom. I hope that will help with your problem.

I tried a factory reset and it did not work, I'll try another rom, I'm thinking of getting back to the store

[Q] screen touch issue(spen works but finger cant)

Hello xda my name is jherro,could you please help me... im having a problem on my samsung galaxy note 3 model SM-n9005 on my screen i cant use my fingers to scroll or open any app(but i can press home,back and the option.)I can use my S-pen like there is no problem at all.
ive been looking for the solution for the same problem case like mine but i thing im the first one.... oh one thing i already rooted the device and upgraded to lollipop but still the same..
-i did tried taking of the battery
-hard resit it

Maybe your device was locked and you update it to one unlocked firmware?

i just fix my note 3. . before this happened i played my music and close the front leather cover of my phone. i flip it back the the song stop playing, i was amaze then do it again and again. then when i finger scroll cant touch screen stop. so i did the same thing using my spen to scroll. then hey!!! it all went back i can use my finger to scroll my screen. im so happy even do i i sleep so late and uploading some file from the net which is so slow (because im only connecting to my Neighbors wifi),even rooted it,apdated the android for 5. and go to the phone shop to ask if whats wrong with it, they also dont know. its there 1st time they said(they also ask me if i want to send to technician i said no.dont want my device to be open and be half empty inside.

S-pen removal or insert not detected

Hi guys, I've got a Note 4 N910F which I've just fitted a new screen to for my mate, I flashed the official firmware this morning, and the s-pen was been working great, but now removal or insertion are not being detected, I've just flashed the Emotion custom rom, and that has made no difference either, the S-pen works, i can write with it and control apps etc it just wont detect when I remove or insert it, any idea what the problem could be please anyone

You could try to download these app " Note Buddy (S Pen Helper) " , but i dont know if it work because i have not try it yet. Let me know.

Yep, its really strange because the pen is working too

Hmm. Maybe the S-Pen detection (hardware) isn't working anymore. Kinda reminds me of the S Pen gate of the Note 5.

My first thoughts exactly, I'd assume it hardware if it doesn't work after a clean wipe or flash.

i have seen many used note 4s in the market that had the same issue, its a hardware problem. when you take out the spen the commands dont show up.

It's not that big of a problem. You can activate the commands menu by clicking the S Pen instead.

I'm pretty convinced that it is the internal sensor on the phone that is faulty, but can't find any info as to where it is on the mainboard, or how it works, does anyone have any ideas or info please

Camera and gyroscopic problem

Hi, guys.
I'm with two problems on my 6P:
1. Camera don't work. When I open the cam app, I get a black screen with the camera icon. And that's it.
2. Basically, the device don't rotate.
I already try flash a new rom, new kernel, new vendor... But notthing help me.
Any tips?

Take it back to the stock OS unroot the phone and boot the original 6.1 marshmallow. Report back with the results.

When I tried using a non-stock kernel, the camera app would open, and just a black screen. As for the non-rotate. Had similar issue which Google gladly replaced the phone no problem. But I found a quick fix before I sent the old one back. Give it a thump around the camera area against your thigh. It appears that gyroscope gets stuck.

I'm on the last build (MTC19T), without root, bootloader locked but still no luck.

Yes, no luck too.
I'm afraid I will have to send it to a repair center. I don't think Google will replace because I'm in Brazil.

You should be able to work with Amazon then.

My Nexus 6P is not rooted and I am using the Android N since the first preview. My camera stopped working around the same time as yours. Same black screen with the camera icon. So I downloaded a 3rd party camera app, which is working.

Rotation sensor broken after 4.5.13 update

my oneplus 5 was working fine before 4.5.13 ota update after that my phone doesnt rotate to left and gets inverted.I tried flashing other roms and hard reset but no luck.There are more users having problem after this update,any solution?

Pass the stock rom by adb sideload
Set the device to fastboot mode and connect the USB cable. Then type:
adb sideload rom.zip
For more information go to oneplus website.

Yesterday I went to OnePlus service center, they're asking me to pay 2900 INR for the sensor.
I've denied to pay and they rejected my devise by mentioning it as a physical damage

I bought my phone a few days back and noticed same funny behavior with compass (if not mistaken works with rotation sensor also). I gripped my phone firmly so my phone can't fly off from my hand, after that I gave it several sharp and sudden turns on both ends of 3 axis of rotation (X,Y,Z) my problem was solved. You can try it at your own peril. If you have positive results, let me know.

I had this too. Now I'll stay on OOS 4.10 after gettig it repaired for free.

No idea I guess we just had bad luck with the Mainboard. I don't think it had to do with the specific update.
