there is no way to without knocking the knox counter
if you root your mobile the knox show 0×1 and also there noway to remove knox if you try to remove knox it may cause hard brick your mobile
if you want to root your mobile than use cf root but after root your mobile warrenty become void
and if you know about triangle way app then it only help you to change the device status custom to official and reset the binary to 0 but it not able to reset the knox counter....

but you cant use cwm or twrp or install a custom rom
This root will void warranty.
Quote form the post you mentioned:
"Flash counters and KNOX warranty
Using this root method sets current binary and system status to custom. Additionally, it will also trigger the KNOX warranty void status.
This device store the traditional flash counter. Nor is is possible with Triangle Away to reset the current binary status. You will need to flash a stock kernel and stock recovery to reset the binary status.
The KNOX warranty status change is permanent, and a service center may deny warranty based on this flag - even if the other flags are reset correctly. The KNOX flag being tripped may also prevent certain Samsung KNOX features from working (enterprise security features). If this is something you care about, use a root method not based on custom kernels or recoveries, like a modified system partition. These are possible, but I don't personally make them, so look around!"

I was looking for a safe root so that my knox counter remained at 0x0
First flased the stock firmware with odin XXUEMK4 from SamMobile

1- Download and install Samsung Kies or Samsung Mobile driver
2- Download "kingo"
3- On your device go to Settings/More/About device/
4- Tap 5 times on "build number" to enable "Developer option"
5- Enable "USB Debug Mode" from developer options
6- Connect your device to PC by USB cable and wait until "kingo" display the model of your device
7- Click the green Button and wait few seconds
8- After it reboot, you can unplug USB cable
Is there really already a Knox-workaround way to root the new 4.3 firmwares?

Nope. Has nothing to do with odex/deodex.
BTW. If this method works, it's the first workaround without tripping knox.
No more using older bootloaders I guess. Nice find!

Ok so please check your phone through Odin to see if really your counter stays 0x0 an show us a screenshot.
This will be the definitive confirmation.
Kingo works 100%
Have been using this rooted phone for more than a few days without any problems.
Had downloaded the OTA though.
Had not flashed MK4 firmware via Odin but it should not make a difference.
Have not tried the wanam & xpose process ... will try it today and give u all an update.
I am purely on a stock rom (odexed)
Just wanted to root the device without any custom notifications or tripping any counters
I guess this Kingo method serves the purpose...so far until something better turns up.
This is purely for those who are on STOCK Rom & want to root their Phones and are afraid of tripping their Knox Counter etc.
Follow this post for further instructions on rooting via Kingo & Wanam & Xpose (for making Device Status from Custom/Modified to Official)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2509244
Major.
PS. Device status showing Custom/Modified will not allow you to update your phone via OTA.
If you want to Make it official as I mentioned u can use Wanam & Xpose
OR
Flash the original Stock ROM via ODIN (You will lose the ROOT though)
PROOF!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but since we have root on a non modified Knox status phone, we can pull the bootloader and system info, then try to break the fuse and compare it to the untouched status one? @Chainfire

Could be possible...
As after rooting by this method I personally feel this Knox thing is more kind of software related rather than Hardware.
If Kingo can bypass this and root so can our senior Dev Team too can.
Although, I don't understand much of this mambo-jumbo in programming..am always ready to help.

[Q] Installing stock rom after Knox is 0x1

Hello all
Last week I flashed my GT-I9505 a CyanogenMod 10.2 and thus voided my warranty (Knox is 0x1).
Now I regret doing it and I wanna badly go back to stock rom and receive Kies and OTA updates from Samsung and so on.
Is there a way to come back to stock rom 4.3 after I tripped the Knox flag and receive updates?
I heard that when you try to flash stock rom after Knox is 0x1 you gonna brick your device.
Please help.
Thanks in advance
Nothing to worry dear you can go back to stock and you will get OTA also and if done properly unroot you will not brick device

Thanks for the quick reply.
I do worry a lot because this device cost me a lot.
What are the steps to unroot safely and goto 4.3 with OTA and KIES updates?
Just as I would do if I were on stock? Put the file in PDA and all the normal steps?
Or do I need to do something extra now?
As you have downloaded cf autoroot now you have to download stock file of your area or location.go to setting see the built version download it from Sammobile site your area built then flash via odin putting that in pda and start odin

knox is so they can see when you send your device in that the warrenty is void.
other than that knox does not bother you (apart from downgrading baseband)

Good, thanks.
Now I wanted to ask you one more question.
As you know, there are roms which do not include Knox in their bootloader. Examples of these are Phoenix and Arrow roms.
What I wanted to ask is if I decide to install one of these roms which does not include Knox, will it delete the Knox out of my bootloader? And on the next time I will install stock rom 4.3 it will show Knox 0x0 as if it were never there?
Thanks
One vital step has been missed if you want to receive OTA: You must reset flash counter using Triangle Away app.

Hey, the part where Kingo says, it will root device by installing custom recovery, it also categorically mentions that your device warranty willl be voided. And everywhere I've read it says, that the knox is tripped whenever a custom recovery is installed.
Are you sure that on bml1, the knox does not get tripped when installing custom recovery from kingo, given that kingo itself claims voiding warranty?
Yes rooted it quite a few times. It flashes the recovery as keyboard or other system software.

NEW Knox counter? 0x1 (2)

Hello everybody
This is my first thread here in XDA
I've installed 5.0 Lollipop Beta in my N9005 and it works snappy and fast. I've used this build for 3 or 4 complete cycles of battery and it really works very well. Now i've decided to install TWRP an SuperSU to delete some bloatware and in download mode I can see a new number in my Knox 0x1 counter (see pictures attached).
Anybody can explain to me what does it mean? Really it doesn't matter so much to me cause I've tripped my Knox from day one but I didn't know about this kind of counter
Any thoughts?
(sorry for my english)

New flash counter i guess someone alert @Chainfire
I think it's the old "Custom Binary Download" counter that first appeared in the Galaxy S2 (if I'm not wrong). Someone should try Triangle Away to reset that counter. However, 0x1 will still remain active .
Edit: This is what I'm talking about.
