Hello all,
Is there a way to use the fingerprint functionality to unlock the device only ignoring the privacy feature where it just says "missed call" rather than who the caller was or even the content of a text message. I don't care about that stuff. I have an S View cover and would like to be able to call my favourite contacts and get notifications of missed calls that actually show the caller/texter. I just want to be able to use the fingerprint for security to prevent anyone from accessing photos etc but I don't care if they see who has called me or texted me!!
I hope i'm not the only one who wants this!
here are apps that let you fingerprint lock specific apps or functions, such as opening the gallery. I think one is called Finger security?

Download finger security and set it up, while leaving the base finger print security from the phone disabled.
That is what I am doing

Because I use my phone to access work email that contains medical information on patients, our IT administrator enforces a security policy on locking the phone. I am looking for a way to post my ICE (in case of emergency) contact information on the lockscreen. If I am out riding my bicycle and get hit by a car, the paramedics can turn on the phone, see the contact info, and contact my wife. I downloaded a dashclock quick text widget for my Chronus app that claimed to put text on the lockscreen. It does not work. Does anyone know of a method or app such that I can put free text on the lockscreen?
So have they included wifi calling in nougat?
No, not in this update.
That sucks. Oh well
Use hangouts, turn off your sim card, and wifi calling works I believe, did for me I know, Hangouts is a pain, but still...
WhatsApp has very good video calling. Wifi or LTE i use it all the time. I like it better then hangouts

That's correct. The other end has to have WhatsApp too.
It does video calls and regular calls
Dear all,
I know these are very stupid questions, but i really couldn't deal with it.
First question :
How can i silent a call without giving a giving a busy signal to the caller? Someone called me and i hit the volume rocker to silent the call, the caller later told me i rejected the call(busy).
Second question :
How to prevent the blocked contact from contacting you? The thing is, when a blocked contact calls me, he/she is actually contacting me and its ringing on their side, its just me who doesn't hear it & see it. I wanted the blocked contact to (not to reach me) by rejecting the call from the beginning.
I am new to Asus, and i was surprised and i had myself in unconvienient situations by these issues.
Please help.
Yours Sincerely,
Shadi

You can silence the call by pressing the volume rocker or you can add gestures to silent the call by entering the Settings App> ZenMotion>Motion Gesture.

Folks, I just bought a new phone. When somebody leaves me a voicemail message, I get a SMS text message from the Verizon system that is in some cryptic HTML format. I don't get a visual indicator of the actual voicemail on my phone. However, when I dial *86... everything works as normal. Does anyone have this working on the US997?
I have 3 other unlocked Moto phones (non-Verizon) that natively deal with VVM without a problem.
Thanks!
Im in the same boat and have been digging for a solution. My understanding is its not possible without sverizon framework.

Concerning the text messages instead of actual voicemail notification.... Verizon voicemail notifications are pushed to all phones on the network in the form of an html/text message. If you don't have Verizon VVM app, you get an actual text message. If you do have VVVM app, the text message triggers the proper voicemail notification. The solution is to have Verizon "block visual voicemail" to the phone. When that happens, you go back to basic voicemail and standard voicemail notifications work properly again.
US997
I have successfully uploaded the US997 rom into my Verizon LG G6.
I used this

This will allow you to configure your VM properly as well as remove all the Verizon bloat.
If it get stuck on the LG logo, hard reset and factory reset after the LG tool says ok.
In my previous LGv20 I had the option to put call in blocking so when they called again the phone would not ring at all. I thought all phones had this.
does anyone know how to add this feature to OP6T?
Update since I cannot delete this post. After I wrote this I searched in play store and there are many apps to accomplish this.
