How to silent a call? And how to block a contact? - Asus ZenFone 3 Questions & Answers

Dear all,
I know these are very stupid questions, but i really couldn't deal with it.
First question :
How can i silent a call without giving a giving a busy signal to the caller? Someone called me and i hit the volume rocker to silent the call, the caller later told me i rejected the call(busy).
Second question :
How to prevent the blocked contact from contacting you? The thing is, when a blocked contact calls me, he/she is actually contacting me and its ringing on their side, its just me who doesn't hear it & see it. I wanted the blocked contact to (not to reach me) by rejecting the call from the beginning.
I am new to Asus, and i was surprised and i had myself in unconvienient situations by these issues.
Please help.
Yours Sincerely,
Shadi

You can silence the call by pressing the volume rocker or you can add gestures to silent the call by entering the Settings App> ZenMotion>Motion Gesture.

Ignored calls as missed calls

Hey guys,
Why do rejected calls show up as missed call?
Is there a way to stop this? every time i tap ignore or reject a call the phone says i have a missed call when in fact i did not miss it... :?
Thx
Jamps
Yeah, that's an unfortunate "feature." Been that way all along, and I've never found a way to correct it. I also don't view a rejected call as missed, though I suppose there are others who would not view it as received either.
ah damn...this really sux!!
Anyway, thx for ur help carlos...

i have to add an outgoing call to my call history at a certain date and time... is there a way to do this? im running 6.1 on a htc touch......
maybe you can try to set time and date on your phone to the date of you fake call and call (just call and hang up) the number you want...

I imagine having an alibi... Darling I called you, but you didn't took the call...
I will certainly have to remember this trick! There has been a many times this would have proved handy
Hmmmm, good that I dont need an alibi like that....
+ If I would say: "Yes honey I tried to call you 4am before I went to the afterparty, see my call history" she would probably tell me that she doesnt believe me anyway or that I should have sended smoke signals etc...
But there is a call duration entry. Meaning, that the call would only last <15 seconds.
Changing the time on the phone would work for your personal call history but not the official call history that shows on your phone bill.
As a father, I check my kid's phone calls and minutes semi-regularly by logging on to T-Mobile and viewing their recent activities.
Now, chances are if you need this for an alibi for a GF or some other friend it will work. If you need this for a more serious alibi, it's not going to work if the person has any way of checking the official carrier records.
Don't know about anybody else but if i make a call that isn't answered by anything, be it a person, ansaphone or voicemail, then the call duration in the call log is 00:00 and it never shows on my phone bill. The only way to prove that type of call was made would probably require access to the mobile operator's logs themselves which most of us don't have.
i have one problem in my vivo v3 . call log is not displaying in proper order.i dont know what to do.it is just scrumbled
omg.... thank you google!!! this might of just saved me $700 for late cancelling fees! miracle workers you are all saints!

[REQ] Software to block unknown calls

Hey guys,
I once had a program which I could block anonymous phonecalls automaticly with, but now I can not find that program and neither the name of the program. I found a program called "BlackList" but it does only support blocking ALL phone calls or just a black/white-list. So that is not what I am searching for...
Hope someone can help me out

the problem with that program is that it rings once, and then stops the phonecall so you still get bullied
on a previous winmob phone I managed to get a witheld number to save as a contact with a silent ringtone (2 seconds of blank ringtone). Worked rather nicely. haven't tried it on the TP2 yet, but then not many folks know the new number yet

Yeah.. you can just press the red button whenever that number pops up.
Or you can request incoming call barring from the network provider, usually available.
