Sweet, can you take a twrp backup or find a way to make a flashable zip out of it?

It appears that way. Different notification bar and everything. Here are some quick camera shots that I took.

If anyone is familiar with creating system images and the likes or helping me get TWRP on there without wiping it would be fantastic.
Edit: I added a couple more actual screen shots of the rom since I'm home from work now.

I see thats 4.2.2 as well lol
Not sure if anyone would want it, but you can do adb pull /system to get a dump

I can't get any of the ADB/Bootloader drivers to recognize this device, shows up as ME571K in Device Manager. Any suggestions?

Cool

Just flash twrp and make a backup of the /system partition and put that on xda

Any luck so far? A nandroid would be the best method

This firmware is very important for the real cod source. A dump firmware guys, is so difficult?

It is not ASUS skin.
I happened to have an Asus Fonepad 7 and its UI (Zen UI) looks completely different.
Maybe its their old UI as the screenshots suggests that it runs on 4.2JB and its KitKat on my Fonepad

I would be very interested in how they test their touchscreens.

That looks like an Asus eepad. Not a nexus 7. Nexus7(2013) is built with 4.3. ??

Yep, the original nexus 7 2013 version at its release was 4.3.

Can you force-install the ADB driver to the ME571K device? I recall a few times where the (ADB) device would appear under Device Manager under some name, but wouldn't install on it's own. Manually selecting the ADB driver worked fine though.
Alternatively, if you can put it in fastboot mode, just do that, attach it to a computer, install the fastboot adb driver on whatever unknown device appears, and then temporarily run (I think you can do this instead of just directly flashing it) TWRP on it.

Yes, you can use this to temporarily boot into TWRP. Where "twrp.img" is the name of the version of twrp you have. (or you can rename it to make it easier.)
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
If this is really an ENG model, it would be amazing to get a full dump of each individual partition but I'd be most interested in the bootloader to see if there are any additional fastboot oem commands. Having a package of every partition might help in unbricking some of those people who ran into the emmc issue with the OTA updates recently.

Andoid 2.4 Soju

Hi Guys,
I got today a Nexus S and it has apperently a Developer Firmware.
It says :
Android - Version
2.4
Build-Number
soju-userdebug 2.4 GRI06B 88106 test-keys
In Fastboot Mode it says :
Lock State - Unlocked
Here´s my question, is it possible to root this Nexus without damage and putting a CM Rom on it?
Thanks for the help!
I don't know where you got your Nexus S at, but OpenSoju is a Rom here on XDA that is at version 0.2.4 right now. I think you phone may already be rooted so no harm in putting CM on it. Here's a link to the Soju Rom:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1080009
Definotely wouldnt flash anything yet. Dump system first? sure some other nexus users would love to get tgeir hands on that

Early 2.3.4 builds were labeled 2.4. He got an engineering build that's likely an early build of 2.3.4 - especially looking at the versioning. There was a thread on this a while back and someone at Google listed their email to contact about this (IMEI, location received from) so they could get you on a proper build as the engineering builds will never receive the OTA(s). I actually received one NIB from Best Buy Mobile on a swap from my original device back in December.

Exactly which radio is it?
I'm sure a lot of us would be very happy to get a system dump.
As for the question regarding being CM7-ready... Yes, sounds like it is. But give us a dump first! Please???
i´ve another stupid question.. did the dump and had already set up a few things like marketplace, google account , facebook etc.. is that stuff also contained in the dump .. because if yes i would have to do a factory reset and dump again
Update:
I love it to ask stupid questions and then figuring out by myself.. seems like i have to do anyway a full reset / factory reset , and make a backup
Gonna upload the image in a few minutes!
Lol. None of your info will be in the dump. You are fine.

Definately wait for your WW firmware
ANd incase you dont know how to flash the file. Download the file on the ASUS Support site(v10 epad launcher..), unzip this file and copy it to your SD card, then flash. Although I would probably return my build.prop to its original file
Can't wait for the first ROM's based on this
Oh how very exciting. I'm rooted but have been holding off on all the different CM builds because of the GPS issues. But this should be fulling functional, can't wait to see some roms popping up with this.

Build number JR003S

So today I switched my Nexus 7 for a new one because off the auto brightness issue and this Nexus 7 does not have this problem, but when I looked in about this tablet it says the build number is JR003S while the lastest factory image is JRO03D.
Does it mean I got an newer build number?

I don't believe anything is wrong with one I have now, so I should be able get in recovery later to.
Did you get an OTA update for it?

No not at all, it was on the tablet when I got it, I just unpacked it and look at build number and it was different.
It was already on it, I didnt need to update. The performance is same as the other build.
According to Asus, the latest FOTA - JRO03S will release around late Sept/early Oct....
In fact, all Nexus 7 starting to ship in Taiwan has this build, it includes Asus Keyboard for BoPoMo IME, don't know what else's different...
Why doesn't some kind soul make a nandroid and post /system and boot.img?
I going need return this Nexus 7 to it got an dead pixel.

Ditto to the above. I'm currently updating, just excited to see if there have been lag/battery enhancements.
Got it about 4 hours back.. it was a pleasant surprise.
Feels much smoother.
Also I don't lose all my widgets after a restart. Yay.
Is it just me? Apps on SD seem to have disappeared from the drawer...
I had to 'crash' the drawer and then let it reload... weird
davyu: They were missing for me too at first but after few minutes they reappeared. Most likely because update clears some cache and Nexus has to reload it again.

Yup, that is the manual way. What part of ADB have you had difficulty with? There's a fairly comprehensive guide by Heisenberg that walks you through using ADB/fastboot quite simply. I use fastboot on OSX, so if you're using a Mac I can offer a tip or two.

Well, from what I see (can't download as I'm a 5X user) Screw'd by dsmitty166 has a 12/27 build which is based on December security update. This sounds like what you are flashing. There is one January Angler build that was released yesterday according to their G+. I am willing to bet the January release is up to date whenever it is released publicly.
