Need help - wiped bootloader - bricked grouper - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok, I've done it again. I've gone and hard(?) bricked my grouper. While flashing the LP upgrade, I erased the bootloader without unfortunately flashing it back. Anyways, now I have a totally black screen and the device is getting detected as APX. I contacted the local Asus representatives who very unhelpfully advised me I need a new motherboard despite my explaining to them it's just the bootloader that needs fixing via JTAG (I hope?)
Anyways, if anyone knows how to fix this, please do share. In case you don't know how to fix it, I'd appreciate if someone would point me in the right direction of who/where can help me get it fixed. I'd be very grateful. TIA!

Anyone? If you can't post something publicly because it's against forum rules/regulations, PM me please... I need to get this thing fixed. Thank you!

Restoring Bootloader

Hi XDA-Developers,
is there any chance that there might be a boot restore utility in the (near) future or should i just get by with a malfunctioning XDA.
I love what you're all doing here by the way, even though it has tempted me into erasing my bootloader (my fault no one elses)
Rico
if your OS is still running there may soon be hope for you.
Tanx for your quick reply,
My OS is still running so i'm going to hold my breath and wait...

I had the same problem, I killd both CE and bootloader, Qtek agent fixed this within one hour without changing any parts.
They do have a way to fix and restore a bootloader.
Same problem
I cannot access my bootloader. It seem to be write protected or something. I posted twice and I am waiting for a response. These are my posts:

Very/Ultra Bricked... :( Help!?

[SOLVED] So who wants a challenge? Here we go:
So long story short I formatted date/cache and all that stuff with team win touch recovery. After i found out that i was unable to re-flash a new zip for some reason, I decided to use the nexus root toolkit to try to factory reset.
Anyyyway, somehow Fastboot failed halfway through and now recovery is gone with everything else. The only thing i can get into is the bootloader mode....
My device is still listed as a fastboot device, but when i try to re-run the 'flash-to-stock from bricked' mode i get this: (see attached picture)
Please help, I honestly have been working on this for days, but i simply do not know enough to fix it! I have also been on this site for some time, but i have not been able to find a solution.....
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

EDIT- So I solved my problem, but i have no real explanation as to why it worked. I literally tried it over and over and over, then it eventually worked. Sooooooo your guess is as good as mine!

u80 Clone Flash Issue. Bricked device.

Hey guys!
Ok, so after hours of looking through post after post after post I finally narrowed down my options, downloaded a firmware and flashed. Now I have a somewhat of a bricked phone.
It will not power up BUT, when connected, does go into Recovery and accepts new flashes.:fingers-crossed:
I have found a recovery ROM but am researching into extracting a scatter cfg/txt, rom, etc. and flashing.
Has anyone found something for me? Anyone know how to get past the UI popup "Baseband Chip Error"
Anyone have any success with this? I know Im not the ONLY one in this position and Im sure someone out there can help me. If not, Im going to keep hammering away at this POS.
u80? did you mean u8?
No
No, the clone of a u8 is a u80

Desperately Asking For HELP!!!

Hello, guys! It's now my 2nd post asking the exact same help. I'm very desperate to fix my phone : Asus Zenfone 5.
I have been looking for solutions for a long time, I'm not easily quit on googling. So far, this problem is one that haven't been fixed and very unlikely to be fixed
I have contacted many people including that Taiwan guy who is an expert on Zenfone 5 (forgot the name) and I'm EXTREMELY DESPERATE
I know this problem might be similiar with other case, but this one seems to be rare, because I have not found the solution.
Here is the timeline before my device got soft-bricked :
1. I upgraded to Lolipop with a different version of it's recovery, but still worked.
2. One day, ANR Keeps reporting that SystemUI has stopped. Rebooted and the phone went bootloop.
3. (probably the problem) I flashed wrong version of recovery (I think it was kitkat's recovery) and after then, I'm not able to get into DROIDBOOT.
I have tried several ways :
1. Sending package to my phone over ADB Sideload (It says something like error mounting blabla)
2. Flashing with xFSTK (It says something about driver, and I googled it. Found everyone with the same problem, endless solutions)
3. Downloaded about 1 gig of files (DEBRICK Files) and still, gets stuck somewhere.
So anyone have a solution for me, please?? I'm totally desperate right now, I lost hope. Never had this kind of problem, the thing is that so far, I never had such never-solved case in my life, I will always
find a solution from Google even that would take a long time. I have been searching passively for about 8 months, and I got none of those works
I will be very thankful if anyone would try to help this problem, I will bring detailed information you want, because I don't have solutions left.
Sorry for bad English
Thank You so much!
From what I know (even though I am far from being an expert, just tried and researched a lot), there is no way to fix it.
The bottom line of the problem is that you can't repartition internal storage of zenfone 5 because of x86 architecture, there is no proper Linux partition tools for it. And the oem partitioning via bootloader just fails (gpt command failed).
this type of problem has raised extremely in last month because of some reason.
I just don't understand why but, perhaps, some error in the recent twrp version/s or flash scripts.
My zf5 is a full brick now with no chance for salvation, service can't fix it as well, says impossible to repartition because of the mentioned above.
Hope, I'm wrong
Try @dgadelha "unbrick" package what contain system in .raw format
It will not help. Because any unbrick method involves repartition, which is impossible in this case.

But, @kihope12, that would be great if you post a link to that package or thread. Thanks!
Normaly i know link only for zenfone assist, what dont work anymore, so.. just try search on XDA
Well.. I'm done then.. I had so much hope with that phone after recovering it from bootloop.. Now there is no chance to get it back..
Anyway, thanks a lot for letting me know about this, otherwise I would keep looking for something impossible to fix.. And, you seem to know much about this.
Thanks again!!

a500 stuck on a boot loop, links dead

Hello there, I've searched on this forum some methods on trying to get out of the boot loop. Someone gave me this tablet and i thought that i would reset the device but it just ended up on a bootloop. I know that this device should probably be thrown out, but maybe there is a chance to use it. If you had a bootloop problem and fixed it or even bricked your a500, would you mind posting the exact thread here for me to read.
The links on this forums were mostly dead so if anyone can give working links please?
Thanks!

If it bootloops I think the best way is to use an update.zip to reset the device.
