I am getting very concerned with the performance of this phone. - Nexus 6 General

This has been talked about before but I'm really starting to think something might be wrong here. Is it 5.0? Is it art? Or could there be something else going on here?
I am unencrypted.
Rockstar just released Chinatown Wars for Android. New port of an old game and while driving around the city it lags like crazy. Tried it out on my N5 and it's perfectly fine.
Look at reviews on the Google play store other N6 owners are saying the same... The game lags. Yet I don't see any other reviews complaining about the same. One person on a Note 2 commented how smooth the game was.

Are you saying that because it has a higher resolution that's why it's lagging? Shouldn't the faster processor cancel that out.
Ok now explain why even while unencrypted games still load faster on my N5?

Madden Reviews. One poster said it played fine on his Note 4 but not on his N6. Aren't those both the same resolution?

I get lag playing SpiderMan Unlimited .. No lag on my LG G3 with same resolution. Not sure what is going on
I'm chalking it up to an android 5.0 thing

I'm very concerned too. It has been so great and the phone and OS were just released less than a month ago. Can't wait to see what's in store for us Nexus 6 users

This isn't a resolution problem.
There is an 8 minute gameplay vid of Chinatown Wars on Youtube being played on a Note 4, 3 days ago smooth as butter.
And Chinatown wars is not even a very demanding game. Both my N6 and N5 ran cool while playing it. But it lagging like hell on a new $700 device is 100% unacceptable.

Yea and that device was supposed to be a Nexus 6.
Is this not the most powerful phone with the biggest/best display on the market? Besides gaming what else would someone need all this processing power for? Facebook? YouTube?
This phone should blow away everything you throw at it... And right now it's not competing with a 1 year old device that's sold for half the price.
You people should be demanding answers as well.

How does that explain the Gameloft marvel game I was playing that lags bad?
Look I love this phone and will not be switching it out fire something else but there IS undeniably something going on with graphics performance

I have been playing Family Guy - The Quest For Stuff for a while on my Note 3 and even on a Moto G. The Game was perfectly playable. On my new Nexus 6 it is lagging like crazy! I have tried several different demanding 3D games like Real Racing 3 for instance and most of them are working fine. I also don't think it is an Android 5.0 issue as my Moto G is running official Android 5.0 ROM. Maybe it is a combination between the high resolution and something else... I don't know...

The only thing i can think of are those read/write times. Even unencrypted my games take longer to load.
Now why are some games performing fine and others terribly?
Maybe certain games are loading more into ram from the start and it's smooth sailing? While others are struggling to load data consistently on the fly?

According to some tests I did, the storage on the Nexus 6 is on the same performance level as the Nexus 5 and even just a little bit faster. (unencrypted). So there shouldn't be any problems. Also, I haven't seen any slow loading in any of the games I've tried. Family Guy, Real Racing 3, Plants vs Zombies 2...

You know what I'm in the same boat but I'm pretty sure it should be software optimisation missing, I run a really simple 8 ball game, nothing too CPU demanding, animations lags on my Nexus 6 but not in my Nexus 5. Something should be wrong but with the OS or apps.

I'd say art has a small part to play in this, but I also read about there being different brand memory installed on different nexus 6 devices that is believed to possibly play a roll in this. Out of the games I've played I've experienced zero lag and my load times are fine. I've read about people having lag on coc and coc has always played fine for me. Asphalt 8 runs great! Spiderman unlimited plays great, Temple run, mine craft, Terraria, pool break, etc... Maybe I've just been lucky.

does the HTC EVO supports its own GRAPHICS CARD for smoothe 3d gameing?

jus wondering if the great EVO has its own GRAPHICS card for 3d gameing cuz i couldnt find any specs on it.if anyone knows that'll b nice.

Yes, it does answer your question. It would help if you had some idea what you were really asking about.
This is a "GRAPHICS CARD" next to the HTC EVO. Bear in mind that these are actual size.

That will not fit inside your phone, which is why it doesn't have one. What it does have is an integrated GPU like Sebrina said, a smaller chip inside the Snapdragon that specializes in 3D graphics. The Droid also has an integrated GPU, not its "own separate graphics card." I have no idea where that rumor started or why it's still being repeated. People say words without knowing what they mean, I guess. It is true, however, that the GPU found in the Droid's chip performs a bit better than the one found in the Snapdragon. And now you know.

thanx for clearing that up but i just want a phone with a smoothe 3d graphics specially when it comes to games.i have the wm hd2 which is horrible on the games compare to the games and the graphics on the iphone 3g and 3gs which comes with very large sized game files.im jus hoping the EVO has a good GPU.THANX
I think the question is how well does Android play games (in general) and what quality/quantity are and will be available. Some games play well on the HD2, but, from my understanding (I'm a HD2 owner who doesn't game) it's only a few that really shine in Winmo 6.5(x).
same thing can be said for android, there's only a handful that I would consider to be "graphic intensive"
They're coming though, just takes times... my magic 8 ball says 6 months to a year from now we should see some really nice games start to pop up

The second post in this thread answered your question.
Graphics capabilities.
Since this kinda applies to the topic of this thread. I'm curious how much better this snapdragon processor will handle (in theory) the graphic intensive activities so many of us want like games and high quality video playback without lag compared to say the Iphone or in my instance a old Touch Pro.
Since I remember hearing HTC skimped on the video driver support with Qualcom chip in the touch Pro giving us some slide show video on certain file types like FLV files. I personally am curious if this graphics solution on this phone is going to give me that buttery smooth experience I think we all hope and dream for from this phone?

I beg your pardon: Theories are not facts, nor do theories reflect actuality in any form. The facts are clear: I do not particularly like the iphone, but it has nothing to do with how well they function. They are well known to be the best gaming phone due to the deep support of the for profit developing community. Free is good, but not as good as good.
Finally, OP, do some research. It's not rocket science and I think that's what has a few people ruffled....it would have been so much easier to have figured it out on your own than withstand the ridicule you've received and at least in part, deserved, in this thread.
My apologies, my theory had nothing to do with you or your like or dislike of anything. I was just wanting community opinion of this new processor. I am interested in processing capability not wither or not the games are good. But wither or not the hardware has the ability and drivers are capable. Also I am most curious if the drivers will support the various video and audio codecs to make this a true multimedia phone unlike the touch pro I currently have.
You seem like a really nice person and I apologize for coming off as not so much so. I don't think you can do much better than an iphone.....there I said it and I have tears in my eyes for saying so. I just don't like how Apple locks the application availability (although there are tons and good quality) and user interface.
I almost feel like an idiot for not just sucking it up and getting one.....Nah, I am an idiot!

Thinking About Buying This or Iphone?

I'm Interested in this phone....but I'm just iffy on the Tech side of it. It looks Great! But I want a gaming phone that will last me for the 2 years i have on contract with it. I mean look at the Iphone...The 3gs has been around a long time and plays games that look great! On android phones thats not the case...
Back to this phone! The tech looks dated and games are only getting better..... I mean look at the dual core phones! 2 years from now i have a feeling this phone will end up like my rooted droid eris(BLOWS)...useless and slow when it comes to games. Why is that? When Iphone keeps quality games all the time...even years after its been out. I just adore this phone though...I love playstation and want to enrich in the experience of gaming on the mobile phone...I like carrying one device around that can do it all!
Is there hope for this thing? Any games coming out in the future that will make me go was up Iphone? What you got on this? Do you think games will still be hitting the market for this thing in 2 years time? Hell i know people who keep the Iphone 3gs even though they can upgrade!
So I mean really....Iphone 4 or Xperia Play? I'm looking towards Xperia Play but i dont want to regret later wishing i bought the Iphone 4. hmmmmm
Thanks for the help and sorry for my Brick of Text!
Listen, son, playing games properly and emulating your ROMs are the main reasons why you're buying this. Oh, and the ridiculously precise GPS. That's what this phone does best. The iPhone 4 will have more games, and they'll be more optimized for its specs (which are the same as the Xperia's, heads up!), but once you try the pad here, you'll wonder why you were even using a touch screen to play. It is just so much different.
The above post sums it up pretty good.
As said, the iphone 4 has the same specs. While the iPhone 4 may get more games, the fact is a lot of them use on screen controls, which suck SO harshly compared to buttons you never need to look at (or for). This on it's own makes it worlds better than the iphone.
Add in the open, totally customizable android platform, stereo very good for cell phone speakers, and a very nice, large screen, and you've got little reason to get the iphone.

Mate, plain and simple, there's so many threads about this on this forum it's ridicilious. I'll try and answer your questions, and hopefully you'll make your mind up.
1. If you want a gaming phone, this wins, no contest (I came from a 3GS)
2. Emulation with a proper dedicated controller is off the charts, when I talk to my mates who use the touchscreen to play fpse or whatever, they say it's unplayable, and from my phone, I've convinced a few people to trade in iPhones, Galaxy S's to get it. It's a beast of a phone.
3. You're right, in 2 years, it won't be what it is today, but it'll still be able to hold it's own. If you take care of it, and be smart about what your installing you should be ok. It's a new phone, and I'd say 2 years will be just about the right time to trade it in for the next Xperia Play
4. The reason the iphone 3GS STILL plays amazing games and the likes, whereas some Androids don't is simple...Android is moving forward at a much faster pace than the iPhone. The 3G -> 3GS was a big step, but not MASSIVE, the 3GS -> iPhone 4 was minute! When it comes down to it, you won't notice the difference between the 2. But in the last 2 years, the difference in Androids is ridiculous. HTC Desire -> Lg Optimpus 2x, Evo 3D, etc.
I came, as previously said, from an iPhone, and I don't look back at all.
Don't like the stock music player? Uninstall it, browser? Change it...you have so much freedom, it's completly up to you!

- If you want to play a load of emulator games, with buttons, this is the phone for you.
- If you want a great contract for a small price and this handset for free (yes if you shop around you can get it very cheap), then this is the phone for you.
- If you can put up with a few small minor flaws with the phone (although i havn't had any problems with it but some seem to) and do all of the above, this is the phone for you.
If you want to look cool with a group of isheep and pay for a large monthly contract, then the iphone is for you.

As everyone else has stated gaming with this is awesome. I am running all the emulators and have hardly played the pre-installed games. Once i finnish one game theres millions more to choose from
I cannot help but snigger now when i see people trying to play with emulators/most games on a touchscreen phone, feels good .
Even if this phone feels dated in 2 years. You will still be able to run all the emulators you've been running for that last 2 years so who cares lol. Plus fpse updates will only make fpse better and better. And once custom roms appear with processor overclocking the sky is the limit or atleast 1.6-1.8GHz which will play any game flawlessly i guess?

I know eh? I watched a video review for some gameloft fps (modern warfare 2 I think), and the dude was using a galaxy S. He was having SUCH a rough time on the first level, moving the player awkwardly about, getting hit more than hitting other people etc.
Funny thing is it's that's the reality for everyone attempting to play these types of games on strictly touch screen.

Turn iPhone 5 into an Xperia Play - EX Hybrid Controller

The EX Hybrid Controller for iPhone 5 is a case for the device, along with two separate attachments for two separate uses. The case for the iPhone 5 itself is magnetic on the back. The two attachments that are included in the package simple snap right into place using magnets as well. One attachments is a magnetic wireless keyboard for the iPhone 5, while the other is a game controller (interesting). The whole setup uses Bluetooth 3.0 for up to 40 hours of use with the game controller as well as the keyboard.

Out of all the controller peripherals I've seen, this one actually looks practical.
I don't think iPhone with a controller can magically have the same freedom as android, but it does look good, to bad the Nexus 4 has glass back.

Hardly an Xperia Play killer Not even close
damn
other brands are looking for a way to make a gaming phone , but sony ****
If there is no way of mapping buttons/controls etc then this is useless.
the only way to kill the Xperia Play, would make a keyboard like this (but with physical buttons and analogs) and that it can slide to hide .. (Xplay style) to design one day so ... (Xperia Z + That gamepad) WOOOOOW!
What's left to kill?

to kill, I was referring to (get the title as the first and only smartphone-console world) all other designs (consoles / android), but only the (console-android) no (smartphone-console).
are things that can not be carried in your pocket, or any time you without attracting attention because of its size or design (unlike the Xplay) ...
in my opinion, I think Xperia Play, was left behind by a matter of "Marketing" not only have little hardware, if not for the bad optimizations some games developers do (that optimize only for the top-end smartphone) (Example gameloft, which some games I can edit a file, to increase you the graphics, and yet still work excellent) ...
if we look closely, we have games with excellent graphics and which are also Xperia Play Optimized, and work perfectly (example: NFS Most Wanted, Dead Trigger, Shadow Gun, Wild Blood, The Bard Tale, Nova 3)
and on the other hand, others very badly optimized games like: Gangstar Vegas, Real Racing 3, Dungeon Hunter 4, Grand Thef Auto Vice City. (all of these work very slow even with overclock)
Luckily we have the help of developers who even do not forget this great Smartphone (eg PPSSPP - By Henrik Rydgard, Drastic DS - By Exophase) ..
Three real big issues with that:
- That thing has less control options than a snes controller. Xperia Play has the full control setup complete with dual analogs. The iControlPad had better equipment.
- The fact that it's iOS makes it automatically inferior in it's capability with peripheral hardware
- What little it does have is too akin to the classic Motorola Razr (which was famous for it's abysmal buttons)

They had to change the design to make it compliant with the standard gamepad framework Apple will be releasing on iOS 7 (they are still adapting it to the standard). They will be open for orders later this year I believe.
They also said that if this is successful, they may do it for android as well, at least for the most popular handsets (I think the galaxy S4 was mentioned as an example, not sure).
Little update: Just checked their twitter. Some info:
- They refunded all pre-orders for the bladepad and cancelled them due to the framework change.
- They said Apple is making them wait until iOS 7 is released to give them complete information on their requirements (which, I presume, is delaying the bladepad).
- When asked if they would make one for the Galaxy series, they answered "It's definitely a possibility. We would like to expand to Android as soon as we are able : )"
- They are going to focus on the official framework instead of Jailbreaking...
- ...at the same time, though, they said the bladepad, while not supporting Cidya emulators right now, may support them in the near future.

I'd like to point out that dead trigger is no longer optimised for xperia play. I've heard that it was optimised so I downloaded it but nope, it isn't. Another user confirmed it. MAYBE it was optimised but it isn't anymore, sadly.

I must admit, that bladepad looks pretty [email protected] sharp. I wont trade my XP for it, never in a million years. But for iphone users, it would be an excellent treat.
Heres hoping the Iphone users get this excellent looking device to improve their gaming.

Gaming on the Note 8.0, What do you play?

As i have worked as an author at a swedish website aimed at gaming on Android, I thought that i should make a thread about the things i spend the most time on with the Note 8.0.
With the Quadcore 1,6Ghz CPU together with Mali-400 GPU and 2GB RAM there arent many games that would make this tablet slow down, so why not enjoy some nice games on it.
At the moment i mostly play Real Racing 3, I previously played it on my Galaxy Tab 7.7 and there it could lag sometimes but on the Note 8.0 it looks good and plays even better
Gamelofts games also look really nice on the tablet and the size of the tablet makes it, in my opinion, ideal for games like Dungeon Hunter, Blitz Brigade and Heroes of Order and Chaos. What makes the size good is that you can hold the tablet comfortably and still not cover to much of the screen with your thumbs.
What games do you play on your Note 8? And are there any games that you think does extra well on a tablet than on a phone?
Need for Speed most wanted, real racing 3, minion madness, and nova 3. That eats up most of my internal memory. I have a few other small free game but the names are escaping me.
I have been very happy with the gaming ability of this tablet. Graphics look good and the games don't lag. I am very impressed with the screen. It's resolution isnt the best per say but man everything looks so clean, clear, and the colors are vivid. It looks much better than the nook hd and hd+ that l have and looks better than the older nexus 7 l had.
This tablet would be darn near perfect if they would include more memory and stop the random screen freezing problem.

(Edit: forgot about the riptide game, its a fun one with good graphics)
I used galaxy tab 2 7 p3100 before, with powerVR SGX541 GPU. What i m concern about our note 8 n5100 is the powerfull GPU, mali400mp. It does handle graphics very well than powervr sgx541 on my tab 2. I used to play The dark night rises, the amzing spiderman, avp evolution n NBA 2k13, n i m surprise, the graphics of that 4 games come a lot better. I realize that there are so many effects that don't show on my tab 2, show well n amazingly on our note 8. The character looks shiny, n does look better. AVP evolution, i love the graphic setting on its option. So, i set the graphic quality to high, n woww the graphic looks amazing. N for NBA2k13, this game really surprise me a lot when play for the first time on note 8. On note 8, there show a couple cheerleaders dancing when game got time out, they never show up when i play it on tab 2, the characters/players show really close to the real persons of the player. I used the same installer n same data game, so mali really optimized the graphics.
Ok here the list of the games that i installed on my note, work very well n has a amazing graphic beside the 4 games i mentioned above
1. Bladeslinger ep. 1
2. Bounty Arms
3. Dragon Slayer
4. Eternity Warrior 2
5. Man of Steel
6. Modern Combat 4 : Zero Hour
7. Real Racing 3
8. Real Boxing
9. NFS Most Wanted
10. FIFA 12
11. Shadowgun
12. Virtua Tennis
N here are the complete games i installed on my note 8, n of course, for the game that i don't mentioned above, the graphis are also good, except samurai shodown II (it's nostalgia related thing )

I have quite a few games installed, but I would like to bring attention to DraStic... An NDS emulator that was released a couple of days ago.
It is extremely well polished for a first release and provides full speed DS emulation on devices less powerful than our Note 8.0, so you can imagine just how fast it is.
This is certainly an app that works far better for us, than it would on a phone.
In portrait mode, you can hold the NDS XXL (aka Note 8.0) very comfortably and use the on screen controls, hardly covering anything of the bottom screen in the process.
There is support for external controllers as well, along with a host of useful features... such as Google drive save backup, and screen layout/switching on the fly.
The screen size and precision stylus of the Note 8.0 makes this emulator a perfect fit!

I have to try that DraStic NDS Emultor as i have a few favs to play on my Nintendo DS, hopefully one can copy savefiles from the M3card to the Android-device
Also for the people playing Real Racing 3, there is a little trick to make the game look even better than it already does, follow these simple steps in this thread and the game will look really awesome. Tho there will be some drop in framerate when you race Cup's with many cars on the screen.
I tried some of the games you mentioned but after couple minutes the battery drains big time. Just for instance gameloft game " fashion " from 80% it went down to 20-15% after maybe 10-15 mins playtime. I don't get to enjoy games . Guys, how long normally is the battery life of your tab when you play games? Thank you for the answer.

yup I'm satisfied on everything except for the gaming... it's drain heavily... and I'm still using stock ROM
I admit I'm disappointed in the gpu... is anyone else experiencing a touch of lag in Plants vs Zombies 2?
But for emulators and most games its sufficient. I have to remind myself I bought this device for the digitizer... My priority wasn't gaming. It's good enough, but not fantastic.
Zero lag on pvz2 (on early level though, haven't focus played it yet) for me the gpu was fine I even underclock it (in hope for better battery) and manage to play games smoothly... it is the battery usage while gaming that disappointing...

Nice...If you like ps1 games on the go. Check out ppsspp...so you can play your old psp games on the note 8. It's fast and it's furiously fun. Battery life is also good with emulators and to be honest, I don't know if any of the "casual" tablet games can even compare to a full blown psp title like tekken dark resurrection, soul calibur, the 3rd birthday, final fantasy crysis core, persona 3, monster hunter, god eater burst and kingdom hearts birth by sleep....it's not even 1.0 version yet and there's already some ad hoc multiplayer in the works....
I also have modern combat zero hour, batman, spiderman, asphalt but...ppsspp rocks! The note 8 is the perfect gaming/productivity/work tablet (just my 2 cents)...

Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas LAG

Morning all !
Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas
Did anyone else buy this via the play store yesterday on release ?
When they finally made a usable release !!
1.03 now I think
Does anyone else think the performance is very bad for a new phone that's meant to be one of the more powerful handsets on the market ?
I've tried everything to get the game to run as smooth as it does on the Note 2 and other Mali 400 devices( which look like the can run the game as nice as the iPhone's do ! , the game lets us take control of the Graphics settings but ...everything set to low it runs above 30-40 but looks like a Lego city with no nice effects :crying:
everything on high it runs 10-15 fps.
Just stumbled really ! Is the Snapdragon 800 really not capable of keeping up ?
any suggestions or workarounds would be really appreciated - or even if you can confirm your device is choppy with this game.
that's because the note 2 has a 720p display so on ""max"" its gpu has to draw only 1280x720 pixels, meanwhile the N3 has fullhd display so the cpu has to draw more pixels and you want it to bear with highest settings. That's the bad thing about android - every time a more powerful procesor comes out it gets nerfed down by the more pixel displays, so performance of games stays about the same (sometimes even worsens)
Worst part is the batteries evolve with speed nowhere close to the speed of pixels and cpus evolution
after fullHD I think all companies should take a 2 year break and focus on making more powerful and more power efficient processors + better batteries instead of adding more useless pixels which in normal conditions u can't even see...

I get that but, how is it that this phone runs more intensive games better than my note 2 would
also in regards to the resolution, I'm having it set to the lowest in game ( looks like minecraft )
But yeah, They should stop being stupid with silly resolutions now, its almost UN-noticeable anymore
side dontryn
dude if u are set on lowest and u have lag, (i see you are using xnote) install latest xnote (version 7, based on ML2) and then try it, I was on xnote 6.0 and did a clean install (with wipe data) and am using the AOSP theme, no other mods/OCs and i just tested cracked SA (1.02) and on highest everything i have REALLY little lag idk, i would tell you to wipe cache but im not a dev and idk what might happen (i dont think anything bad can happen tho) xD
P.S. Are you sure you disabled Power Saving mode because that thing makes graphic intense games lag as **** because it forces cpu and gpu to use lower frequences than their max (to saving battery lol) so of course it will lag

Wow - This actually worked a little, the FPS has defiantly gone up quite a bit, Its playable with decent settings now, bit laggy here and there on Max where as before it was just a constant lag fest.
Nah I always make sure my power saving mode is disabled before playing games !
Can i just ask what settings you use for a constant framerate 30-40+ ?
Display ( Heres mine ) this gets 30+ and very little below that
Visual Effects : High
Resolution: 100%
Draw distance: 70%
Shadows: Classic
Car reflections: Low
Ive thanked your prev post tho
(fsdgjakfhgkjhsafdgkjsdhgfjkhsdafsdaf my first thanks *dies*)
just installed fps tracking program
on complete max settings i get 25-30 fps with only sometimes dropping to 16-19fps (btw if you bought game from google play it may be different since its 1.03 and im using 1.02 (no-one has cracked 1.03 yet))
*2 minutes into testing random options*
WHAT THE STIH I GET LOWER FPS WHEN I LOWER DOWN GRAPHICS/VIEW DISTANCE/ RESOLUTION
LMAO
dude I don't think 25-30 fps is unplayable, i know that if you're a pc gamer most things under 60fps look kinda laggy (console peasants and their 30fps with upscaled resolution don't) but on phone it isn't really that noticable. I have no idea why the framerate drop appears at lower settings, am currently using
visual effects high
resolution 100
draw distance 50
shadows classic
car reflections detailed
and it drops to 5-9 fps every 20-30 seconds and it lasts about 5-10 seconds each time
*2 more minutes later*
I can confirm that on highest settings it runs smoother than on mid settings
i don't know how i feel about this...
just tried lowest settings and the program im using (FPS Meter, google play id - com.aatt.fpsm) shows 30-35 fps
ok now i think you were right, this game is fu**ed up
P.S. LOL im so dumb, just noticed, every time i said i was using max i actually had everything max except car reflection which was on detailed instead of max. just tested with max and it has GREAT impact on the fps, whenever a car runs into scene framerate drops from 25-30fps to 10-15 fps.
Ok so after this P.S. i decided to play around with car reflection options. It's the only thing that really changes framerate a lot. When everything else is max and car reflections is off i have stable 30 fps
i didn't get any 40+ fps tho, maybe its the fps tracking program, So i think best settings are everything max with car reflections off

Haha, Good post.
I doubt 1.03 is much different apart from fixing the loading issue they had.
Yeah , coming from PC gaming has really given me a bad eye for fps, if its under 30 it drives me wild ! I just love having a silky smooth game
I think that whenever you change some of the settings in game, it needs to be restarted to have the full effect ! Playing around with the settings a lot laggs me a lot more so maybe it just gets a bit confuzzled with all the changes.
I use fps meter too and i think it does actually have a negative impact on the game's fps.
Ive upped everything now to Max apart from car reflections and shadows set to classic, running a smoother 30fps + with a dip every now and then so happier now, its just dissapointing to think the Snap800 cant handle this! But lets hope its just not the best optimized yet and they update it - I think the other 2 GTA games run slightly laggy with the snapdragon chip as its mainly optimized for the Mali gpu's
no doubt i'll continue to play around and if i find something that sorts it, i'll post it here.
but thanks for your help dude, much appreciated :good:

Okay, so you can clearly see that this guy has no lags on MAX settings. But he is using the Octa-core version... So I guess poor performance on Qualcomm chipsets?
After official update to KitKat, GTA San Andreas crashes. I try to start the game, then after loading bar reaches half, music stops and the game crashes.
Btw my graph. settings:

shadows: off
car reflections: off
With this setting I have great graphics, and have no lag at all.
But can anyone tell me why the game crashes, I tried with reinstalling and everything but with no success?
