4G depends on your telecom supplier. If they have 4G your phone will automatically use 4G. There is no setting for it.
Regards
Colin
It's enabled by the operator but not getting option here

1. Install Kies 3 and plug in your device to your pc.
2. What is your CSC? Add me one screenshot pls like the pic attached.

1- No need to install Kies or PC. Use Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app right on your phone to obtain all important info about your device, including your CSC.
2- You cannot enable LTE option without rooting. If you have root, I will show you how to enable it.

Does 4g option work fine?
Do you have 4g signal reception?
4g lte optiop is on in network settings now but no 4g coverage in my area yet. Will try in 4g coverage area and then inform you. Your 4g working? And which area?

I'm in the same boat I have activated LTE option but there is no 4G coverage in my country yet.
If you have any news, please let me know. TIA.
There's usually a very basic reason for 4G not showing up as a selection.
A. The SIM is old. Get a new one. This is by far the most common cause.
B. 4G is relatively new for your provider, and it hasn't been enabled in the firmware for your specific provider yet. Flash another CSC or wait for the next update. (funnily enough it is often enabled in another country. DBT Germany had T-Mobile Netherlands enabled for 4G before the 4G network itself was active. Freaked people the hell out at T-Mobile NL HQ when I had 4G and they didn't.)
C. You're using the wrong CSC. In the EU a lot of independent shops sell imported devices. We get a lot of XEF users that can't run 4G in the Netherlands. Simple flashing is sufficient, as with B.
I know you got it working by rooting. Just putting this out there as a basic steps for those who don't want to root. (bit of a shame if you do trip KNOX and it turns out to just be an old simcard.)

I am using warid 4g enabled sim card but warid is currently testing its 4g so its not available in my area yet.waiting for reception.
4g is working fine on my note 3. Checked in 4g reception area.

I've searched threads with similar/same problem, didn't find the answer.
About a week ago my phone company sent me a message that 4G was now active for the S4 (only) - yet I haven't been able to connect to anything but H+.
It seems as I don't have LTE option in my network settings, only GSM and WCDMA. It wasn't in my stock ROM nor GE 4.3 I'm running right now.
The service agent I spoke to had I9505XXUBMGA Firmware and he's using 4G, is there a change I'd need to flass stock I9505XXUBMGA to obtain 4G capability?
I have brand new 4G capable SIM.

You could try using Telinfo and "force" the 4G/LTE to be on as well, like so:
Worked fine over here :good:

I have an additonal question to this.
3 (three uk), push out "software updates" to enable the 4G/LTE which is currently being rolled out on their network, would the custom roms & radios already allow for 4G/LTE compatibility?

They're not pushing out software updates apparently. If your phone can receive 4G it'll automatically work when your sim is activated.
Custom Roms have 4G options tho yes.

@hammadq if you dont have LTE option in network modes.
You need root to enable the option.
I have n9005 and I also had to do this to enable LTE.

@thahim Thanks for the reply, could you guide me how to root my note 3. I am new to this.
Thanks!
Alternatively you can flash the firmware from your region that does support 4G for your provider. This isn't always the same as the one for your country or even your provider.
(For instance, I have DBT German Unbranded. When T-Mobile Netherlands enabled 4G, it had to be enabled in the PHN (NL Unbranded) and TNL (T-Mobile NL) versions via an update from Samsung. My German version already had TNL 4G enabled by default.)
But if you're outside Europe that may not be an option.

Hey, guys.
Thanks for reading.
I bought a locked S5 G900P from Sprint (BOD3) but I live in Brazil.
After a few days reading threads, I've finally managed to downgrade it via CWM (installing stock NK4 kernel and SM-G900P_NI3_ROOTED_ODEXED).
Then, I've unlocked it via SSU. Since I couldn't get any data, I tried a lot of workarounds (installing shohat rom, cm11...) but nothing. Then, I decided to flash the latest firmware available at sammobile: G900PVPU3BOF6.
No data from the latest firmware also.
Now, my phone is back to ShoHat V5 Rom (4.4.2), with G900PVPU3BOF6 baseband and NK4 kernel.
The signal icon on the top of the screen appears to be full (four bars) and I can see the phone carriers, but I can't register to mine (VIVO Brasil).
Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do? That's the configuration that got me closest to receiving data.
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Again, thank you for your time.
Just saw that on my phone, despite using SSU:
NETWORK. BLOCKED
IMEI CERTI: FAIL, -9
Any help? Please.
Your network bands do not match the phone bands.
Go into the secret menu. Try downloading Phone Info app for this.
To unlock all the bands try this. Go to UE Settings/Settings/Protocol/NAS/Network Control/Band Selection and select LTE all bands.

My IMEI is locked and it's illegal to unlock it in Brazil. I'm about to try to sell this goddamn phone.
Good afternoon all,
I have had my Note 3 SM-N900 for a while and have just changed my sim for a 4G version, but I have no option for LTE option in Network Mode, so I am on H or H+
The phone was running Android version 4.1, so I decided to upgrade to the lollipop edition from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/official-lollipop-arrived-t3015128
Having looked around the net for quite a few hours, I noticed a file needs changing, which is: persist.radio.lteon.xml
With the help from the Xda forums I managed to root my device via the cf auto guide, I have checked the root and it is currently working, I have tried to find the file in:
Data/Properties/persist.radio.lteon.xml
The only file in there is persist.radio.lteon with out the .xml, I have opened the file and the text in there says true
When I go back into the Network modes, only these are shown:
WCDMA/GSM
WCDMA
GSM
Can anyone please help on this matter as I am not sure what else I can try, many thanks to who all helps.
Do I need to reflash to another version?
Many Thanks to all

Are u kidding? N900 is a 3G device. Not a 4G device. U won't get any 4G forever.
I apologise, I was told this phone was 4G when purchased last year.
Many Thanks
SM N900 was not able to get 4G connection bro. Even if using custom rom that have 4G option. The hardware was not supported.
Now I'm using aurora custom rom that have the 4G option, but I believe that my device won't be able to use 4G connection
