[Q] Unable to connect to LTE. - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've searched threads with similar/same problem, didn't find the answer.
About a week ago my phone company sent me a message that 4G was now active for the S4 (only) - yet I haven't been able to connect to anything but H+.
It seems as I don't have LTE option in my network settings, only GSM and WCDMA. It wasn't in my stock ROM nor GE 4.3 I'm running right now.
The service agent I spoke to had I9505XXUBMGA Firmware and he's using 4G, is there a change I'd need to flass stock I9505XXUBMGA to obtain 4G capability?
I have brand new 4G capable SIM.

You could try using Telinfo and "force" the 4G/LTE to be on as well, like so:
Worked fine over here :good:

[Q] CND i377M Help

Hello guys,
I have noticed that there are many Rom that should work for the SGH-i337M model of the S4
while All of them works on the Big Canadian providers like Telus, Fido ,Rogers , Bell, what about Koodo .
I know that they work on the Telus Networks but whenever i flash a Rom on my Koodo S4 (SGH-i337M) it wont show koodo but Telus and the LTE is gone( since im not on official network) and shows only HSPA.
Now is there a ROM that works on Koodo and The LTE works fine?
or is something that i should do to make it work.
Thanks in advance.
I'm using CM and its working just fine on my Koodo phone. The LTE radio seems weaker maybe(not that CM changes it I don't think), since it won't grab the LTE connection until there is two bars of signal. But it works.
I'm just doing more research if a new radio would help the signal.
One of the nightly builds actually showed Koodo as the network name, but ever since I've updated it goes back to showing Telus. Maybe a fresh flash would fix that.

Good question, I've deleted all the old ones off my phone. I would say late June sometime, I vaguely remember June 26th for some reason.
Its odd that it just worked that one nightly.

But it does not say LTE its Just 4G
Are they running at the same speeds
Because when i run my Stock touch-wiz its say LTE but when i flashed CM or even PAC-man Rom it says its 4G .( not sure why that is )
But i did notice that even though it says Telus. Koodo's APN are in-place and working
Aosp roms say 4g instead of lte. It's lte speeds, and has been documented everywhere that 4g means lte.
Think of the carrier name as cosmetic only, your sim only lets you connect to Koodo anyways, so it's all working fine. The Koodo apn is setup correctly on all the roms.

The first time I flashed my s4 it (or I) messed something up and my phone said it was a bell phone yet the koodo sim still worked. I downloaded CSC Changer and gave it root permission and changed my CSC from Bell which was BMC to KDO.

Yes I have cause I had net 10 before and It worked 4g lte .I had changed because most people said that ATT is the quickest network and probably is but you have to use their own machines.they said,... I flashed original stock tar to start it fresh to see if there was some trouble when I flashe custom roms I will use triangle apk app to reset counter to 0 and start it over once I root again my machine. I will keep in contact thanks!!

Help: T Mobile LTE not working on Android 5.1 Stock. Rooted.

Hello everyone. I just decided to update my device to 5.1. I did a clean install. I downloaded the proper radios and changed my APN to match what is suggested. I even changed my network type to LTE only. For some reason I can't get Internet to work though.
The Nexus 4 doesn't officially support LTE, so you'll need to flash an older modem (which would need root). Google disabled LTE awhile ago due to some regulations.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I tried this, but for some reason I'm not able to get data to work. I can make calls and send sms but can't access data

Note 3 SM-n900 no LTE

Good afternoon all,
I have had my Note 3 SM-N900 for a while and have just changed my sim for a 4G version, but I have no option for LTE option in Network Mode, so I am on H or H+
The phone was running Android version 4.1, so I decided to upgrade to the lollipop edition from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/official-lollipop-arrived-t3015128
Having looked around the net for quite a few hours, I noticed a file needs changing, which is: persist.radio.lteon.xml
With the help from the Xda forums I managed to root my device via the cf auto guide, I have checked the root and it is currently working, I have tried to find the file in:
Data/Properties/persist.radio.lteon.xml
The only file in there is persist.radio.lteon with out the .xml, I have opened the file and the text in there says true
When I go back into the Network modes, only these are shown:
WCDMA/GSM
WCDMA
GSM
Can anyone please help on this matter as I am not sure what else I can try, many thanks to who all helps.
Do I need to reflash to another version?
Many Thanks to all
Phone Details:
Model SM-N900
Android v5
Basband N900XXUEBNL6
Kernel 3.4.39-5764310
Build LRX21v.n900xxuebok2

Are u kidding? N900 is a 3G device. Not a 4G device. U won't get any 4G forever.
I apologise, I was told this phone was 4G when purchased last year.
Many Thanks
SM N900 was not able to get 4G connection bro. Even if using custom rom that have 4G option. The hardware was not supported.
Now I'm using aurora custom rom that have the 4G option, but I believe that my device won't be able to use 4G connection

Tmobile radio on US Cellular S7 Edge?

I got a S7 edge US Cellular branded from Walmart.. It is UNLOCKED. I put in my tmobile sim, I get lte, but, signal strength is low.
Is it possible to flash Tmobile software on this phone? The reason is I am not getting any strong signals (inspite of it supporting all corresponding LTE bands from Tmobile). Has anyone tried?
what options do I have? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

US cellular is just G935U I believe. You can just download the tmobile firmware, stick it in Oden and press flash. I suggest you to try flashing only the modem from the T firmware and use 935U firmware for everything else.

I actually just flashed TMO version via Odin, so far, all seems to be working fine. Does the U version support HD voice/ VOLTE/ Wifi calling on tmobile?
If you flash the T-Mobile firmware then yes and if you flash the U firmware then No

Is your US Cellular G935U? I bought a used one/unlocked -not in Walmart though- and it shows G935R4. I guess I will brick my device if I flash the Tmobile firmware. The problem that I have it show 4glte and speeds are amazing, however there are no bars shown. When I get a call, it shows bars and makes the calls with no issues. SMS works great.

It is the same one I got from Walmart. I flashed the T-Mobile firmware and the phone rocks. It's a seamless process if you have some basic knowledge of flashing. I can help you if needed. Please let me know... thanks.

Thanks, I actually flashed the T-Mobile firmware and it worked pretty well. It failed when I tried to use an older version of Odin. Once you used the most recent one, it's flawless and with no issues.
