Howdy
I have a Razr M which was the old BDH debloated stock rom.
I flashed over to PACMan this morning, rebooted, stuck in fastboot!
I have tried the Razr M Utility and RSD Lite to try to flash back to stock, but I am met with incessant errors:
#1 When I try RSD Lite, it fails at writing the system.img
#2 When I try Matt's utility, I get a 'remove fail' when writing system.img
FastBoot reasons vary between "No PIV in system block" or "stick bit in factory_reset"
I am unable to get to any kind of recovery, or any kind of logo screen. M will flash, but then immediately to fastboot.
Phone was previously unlocked and rooted

not sure if your problem has been resolved, but are you able to get into recovery? also, make sure you charge the phone up to 100% first (if you can't tell, then just charge it for about 2 hours)
Fortunately, my issues have been resolved.
Not sure what the specific fix was, but all I really did was just retry flashing over and over and over, with RSD Lite and matt's utility. One time it finally worked.
from there, the factory_fastboot sticky bit was fixed by clearing oem fastboot userdata and cache in ADB
phone was good as new!
Enter fastboot oem fb_mode_clear and problem gone.
I find the solution
:laugh::laugh: I find the solutions reply me if u want

Hey all,
Recently had various issues with my phone. To make a long story short, my phone is now permenantley stuck into fastboot mode. I try to flash a firmware with RSD lite and I get an error after trying to flash the 6th of the 19th element of the file: Failed flashing process. 6/19 flash tz "tz.mbn" -> Phone returned FAIL. Any help to get my phone functional would be great.
Thanks!

Since you're getting a TZ fail, it's probably because you're flashing older firmware. After the update in May, you're no longer able to flash backwards. Grab the newest FXZ and flash it, you should be good.
Thanks @RikRong, However, I cannot find the fastboot files for the latest update though. Do you know where I could?
Thanks!

after write 4.4.2 phone stuck on AP Fastboot
i tried on rsd lite but when riched on system file rsd lite presses stop and give error
i need solution how solve that problem thanks in advance
What's the error in rsd lite and what's it saying in fastboot it should say fastboot reason or something similar toward the bottom...
We cannot teach people anything; we can only help them discover it within themselves.
Try removing "getvar", "var", and "oem" from the xml file. Also, make sure the bootloader is unlocked and RSD lite is on 6.1.4
Also make sure that the USB cable is good, as I have had problems with RSD giving errors and found changing the USB cable resolved the issue.
Thanks For reply bootloader is locked and when i try to write firmware it is stop on system file
To @dbreezy
Error might be downgraded security version update system.IMG failed preflash validation failed
Or that kind of issue.
I had fallen in exect same situation but difference was I was on JB.. And my mistake was I was trying to flash ICS .
And fix was I downloaded KitKat and flashed it flashed Without any issue
Hi Everyone,
I own Motorola Electrify M (XT901) CDMA handset.
I had unlocked the bootloader, installed recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.4-xt907.img and was running CM11 with jellybean bootloader.
I thought of flashing my mobile with stock rom of XT907. So downloaded "VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10.1_CFC_1FF.xml.zip". After extracting the contents. I executed the following commands to flash the mobile.
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash sbl1 sbl1.mbn
fastboot flash sbl2 sbl2.mbn
fastboot flash sbl3 sbl3.mbn
fastboot flash rpm rpm.mbn
fastboot flash tz tz.mbn
fastboot flash aboot emmc_appsboot.mbn
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot erase tombstones
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
Now the mobile is not booting. Please help me to unbrick my mobile.
Regards,
Ramakrishna.

Thanks friend for the quick reply. I realized my mistake. But its too late. Now the mobile is not detected by my pc. Neither I'm unable to flash it using RSD lite nor run commands as it not detected by adb also. When I plugin by device to PC I get message drivers not installed and its asking for drivers of "qhsusb_dload". Currently I'm using windows 7 OS.
Please guide me and help me.

You need to boot into fastboot, before plugging the phone into the computer.
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
The sentences "fastboot flash partition gpt.bin" and "fastboot flash tz tz.mbn" has set off the alarm. You have now hardbricked it because of the bootloader signature NOT belonging to the XT901. Bootloader signatures on both gpt.bin and tz.mbn are different for each models. You might get away with flashing the unofficial XT907 kernel on XT901, although I doubt it due to bootloader differences.
But you may get pretty lucky enough to flash back to the XT901 bootloader. Hope you have enough juice in the battery, otherwise you will have to either make or buy a Motorola factory jig USB cable to force the phone to boot without the battery if s*** hits the fan.

System version? Not android version
Full kernel version?
Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk
The KitKat update was released last month, so most likely the kernel is "rather new".
It that's the case, Towelroot might be locked out, but it's still possible to unlock the bootloader via Motorola (to install a custom recovery etc.).
system version
its a motorola xt901.. system version 182.44.3.XT901.USC.en.US.... and kernel version 3.4.42-g7f16ba8-00003-gc488536... [email protected] #1.... towelroot will not work.. i tried motochopper but it will not work for the 4.4.2.. kingo will not work or framaroot also will not work..

Hi slgdad,
I have successfully rooted my updated XT901 with 4.4.2 stock rom.
Pre-requisites
1. XT901 bootloader should be unlocked.
The steps I followed
1. Kept the mobile in fastboot mode.
2. Flashed recovery with "ClockWorkMod Recovery v6.0.4.9 for DROID RAZR HD/M" [Link to download]
fastboot flash recovery CWM6049-RAZR-HD_M-KITKAT.img
3. Loaded to recovery, install "update supersu v2.46.zip" by chainfire. I'm not sure if I can provide the link for external sites. Better search on google for the zip file.
And XT901 is rooted. I hope this helps you. Feel free to ask questions.
Note: I have not made any changes to img file or zip file. I have used as is. They are works of their respective owners. I'm just a pointer, indicating the files I used to root XT901. Please do share this post if required.
Regards,
v2k100

Use Windows 7. Rsdlite doesn't work on Windows 10 if I'm not mistaken, probably also on 8/Vista.

wont work
I downloaded wine/wineloader on my mac because i have no windows and then i downloaded and used rsdlite for windows 7 but it still wouldnt read
Rsdlite was also unable to detect my Moto X Play. I tried Rsdlite on two laptops both running Window 7 as well as tried different data cables but to no avail.
Was the phone in fastboot mode when you connect it to rsdlite?

Yes, mine was in fastboot. And I tried various advice from various forums but no success
its stuck on the bootloader screen, i tried it on windows 7 computers and windows 8, my phone wont be detected by any computer, its called "lux" and somethings wrong with the driver, i uninstalled it, installed it again (motorola device manager), in driver settings i uninstalled it, downloaded the latest update for the driver) and my phone would still not be recognized by rsdlite or the computer in general BUT when i tried using the verizon software repair software on my mac, it was read as razr 2 but it would get stuck at 6%

What ROM were you on when you tried Kingroot? It worked perfectly for me after I returned my Xt1564 to stock, then ran Kingroot, I trashed the root app that it installed and replaced with SuperSu Pro. Has been working like a charm for weeks.
