Howdy
I have a Razr M which was the old BDH debloated stock rom.
I flashed over to PACMan this morning, rebooted, stuck in fastboot!
I have tried the Razr M Utility and RSD Lite to try to flash back to stock, but I am met with incessant errors:
#1 When I try RSD Lite, it fails at writing the system.img
#2 When I try Matt's utility, I get a 'remove fail' when writing system.img
FastBoot reasons vary between "No PIV in system block" or "stick bit in factory_reset"
I am unable to get to any kind of recovery, or any kind of logo screen. M will flash, but then immediately to fastboot.
Phone was previously unlocked and rooted

not sure if your problem has been resolved, but are you able to get into recovery? also, make sure you charge the phone up to 100% first (if you can't tell, then just charge it for about 2 hours)
Fortunately, my issues have been resolved.
Not sure what the specific fix was, but all I really did was just retry flashing over and over and over, with RSD Lite and matt's utility. One time it finally worked.
from there, the factory_fastboot sticky bit was fixed by clearing oem fastboot userdata and cache in ADB
phone was good as new!
Enter fastboot oem fb_mode_clear and problem gone.
I find the solution

So... I took the plunge and went to unlock my boot loader. But so far, it hasn't gone so well.
The phone in question, AT&T Atrix 4G, running 2.3.4, and was rooted with all my apps installed too (Backup made with Titanium backup thankfully).
Started to follow these instructions.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1302423 which guided me to here.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136261
Downloaded this: Unlocker only SBFs - These small 1mb SBF files will get your phone ready to fasboot oem unlock. They are the files most people should use. ATT ONLY - Unlocker for 1.8.3 and 4.5.91 ATT firmwares
Flashed the SBF, and I then get failed to boot 0x1000.
Continued, and performed OEM unlock, and that was successful.
Continued following instructions, and flashed the recovery IMG (not zip) Blue 5.0.2.7-atrix5 / ZIP version from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204500 .. All was good, but just sat on the Moto logo and did nothing...
So then I flashed Rooting 2.3.4 / Full 1.8.3 clean SBF with BL unlock and preinstall root by Brandon15811, eval- and myself from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136261 and the phone was back, all be it no customisations I had (hence the backup!)
Eventually got it rooted again after flashing another SBF (I.e the stock one from the super firmware thread) and installing the root using preinstall img.
Then I installed clockwork mod...
Flashed Clockwork recovery, and tried to boot into it, and got failed to boot error 2... now I was getting that when I wasn't unlocked.
Have I relocked my boot loader or something? Am I doing something wrong in general?
Can anyone help please? I would like to crack on with this tonight.
Re-flash the unlocking bootloader SBF thing you did in the 3rd step.

0x1000 means the bootloader found a fuse with value '1' when it expected a value '0' as a precautionary measure, it will not boot. When you flash the 'unlock' sbf file, what you are actually doing is flashing the bootloader. When you boot with the 'unlock' bootloader, and it fails to boot, it will give you a series of options. However, if you flash a stock SBF file, you are flashing the stock bootloader back, which will only allow you to proceed to Nvflash in the case of a failed boot. Hopes this clears up any misunderstanding and glad I could help!

Mostly makes sense yes, but I'm still confused as to why reflashing that sbf didn't cause it to fail to boot again lol!
I've now done my first CWM backup, and flashed a radio so I'm happy Thanks again!
Hi guy,
I tried all the unbrick ways, but nothing worked yet.
I have a Xoom. On the box it says MZ604 (So I think wifi only version)
But there is a plastic tray on top for a sim card. So I'm not sure.
I can go into fastboot, RSD and Android Recovery.
I flashed CWM recovery but it didn;t help.
Used fastboot to oem unlock the bootloader.
Flashed the 4 img file in "H.6.2-24_Retail_Europe.zip" and relocked the bootloader.
The Xoom won't boot past the M-logo (Dual Core technology) screen.
Tried the 4 img files from "MZ604_HWI69.zip" still nothing.
Even tried a MX601, but it gave a LNX error on boot.
Installed Drivers (MotoHelper_2.0.40_Driver_4.9.0.exe)
Flashed "HUBWF_W5.H.6.4-20_SIGNED_UCAHUBLWFRTCOREEU_P010_A010_M004_HWwifi_hubble_AP1FF.sbf" using RSD Lite v5.6.4 (v4.9 didn't work)
I can see in RSD Lite that my bootloader version is v0x001045 (xoom in RSD mode)
I can also see in RSD Lite that the Technology is Wifi Only (xoom in fastboot mode)
I used a random micro-usb cable, the stock motorola usb cable and the Motorola Factory usb cable. Didn't make a difference.
What else can I try? How do I get this xoom to boot up?
Download the right version of software for your xoom here and then follow their instructions.
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem lock
Note: If no userdata.img file is present in your download, please issue the command:
fastboot erase userdata

I'm not sure if you did all of these steps before or just flashed the 4 images. Do them all. Is the Xoom confirming that all of them are flashing okay?
Thanks champers. I did the steps. That is what I mean by "flashed the 4 img files" (boot, system, recovery and userdata). I did erase cache and oem lock.
And yes, the Xoom is confirming the succesfull flashes.
You nee to unlock it again...flash the four images, wipe AND DON'T RELOCK...then you will boot just fine.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
Same here. I was getting the same error until I unlocked it again. Then it would boot and didn't stop at the LNX error.
It's because relock will only work if you use the stock factory images
For you device...it will not work if you use any other images.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
I had the same problem, but when I try to flash the 4 images it give me error?
Sent from my LT26i using XDA
Thanks bwcorvus for your reply. unfortunately it didn't work.
I do flash the stock images, so relocking the bootloader should work.
But even when I don't relock, the xoom won't start.
I don't get a LNX error (only when i tried the mz601 rom)
By now I used 2 recoverys, Rogue and CWM. I flashed al kinds of .zip files but none would boot up my tablet.
it could be one of the hong kong xoom that needspecial treatment for flashing... i've seen this on a thed here on xda... search for it and keed us up to date...

Have you tried flashing team eos nightly's on, it might make a difference
Some strange experience to report.
Flashed my unlocked (had been running CM11 beforehand) RAZR M to stock using Matt's utility (all modems, kernel, system and recovery) and everything worked fine.
After booting, I decided to accept OTA update (had done this before without any problems)
Device booted into recovery, flashed the OTA, and booted straight into fastboot, telling me my device's bootloader is now locked (status code 0) and that I can no longer use Matt's utility to flash anything (my guess is something messed up the partitions)

Have also tried RSD Lite (5.6 and 6.1.5) with similar results
I just flashed the OTA that VZW sent my way.
EDIT: Was able to get it to flash using HouseofMoto's RSD XML.
All good

And you tried to restore 98.30.1? I know with the leak, it is a two part flashing process. It will reboot after part 1, then you need to reboot into recovery to start part 2. You may need to wait until there's a FXZ to fix it.
This is scary. Ive just RSD'd back to stock and am about to update my phone with all the OTA's. Perhaps ill stop for now.
EDIT: And the OTA process just failed from Stock update. FML.
Maybe try this? This is sourced from Moto's website

Hey all,
Recently had various issues with my phone. My phone is now permenantley stuck into fastboot mode. I try to flash a firmware with RSD lite and I get an error after trying to flash the 15th of the 17th element of the file: Failed flashing process. 15/17 flash system "system.img" -> Phone returned FAIL. Any help to get my phone in nromal mood.
Thanks!
We need more details like the system version you are trying to install, unlocked bootloader?
More importantly: what's your device status? (0 or 3?)

You're probably using too old version of RSD lite (which can't flash bigger system images).
Please use RSD lite 6.1.5 or newer.
This. A few peoples have been bricking their phones that way for some reasons. I try to use the latest I can find.

Use Windows 7. Rsdlite doesn't work on Windows 10 if I'm not mistaken, probably also on 8/Vista.
Sent from my XT1562 using XDA-Developers mobile app
wont work
I downloaded wine/wineloader on my mac because i have no windows and then i downloaded and used rsdlite for windows 7 but it still wouldnt read
Rsdlite was also unable to detect my Moto X Play. I tried Rsdlite on two laptops both running Window 7 as well as tried different data cables but to no avail.
Was the phone in fastboot mode when you connect it to rsdlite?

Yes, mine was in fastboot. And I tried various advice from various forums but no success
its stuck on the bootloader screen, i tried it on windows 7 computers and windows 8, my phone wont be detected by any computer, its called "lux" and somethings wrong with the driver, i uninstalled it, installed it again (motorola device manager), in driver settings i uninstalled it, downloaded the latest update for the driver) and my phone would still not be recognized by rsdlite or the computer in general BUT when i tried using the verizon software repair software on my mac, it was read as razr 2 but it would get stuck at 6%
