Hi
I am looking to get a unlock Sony z2. And I heard that D6503 support my carrier which is AT&T 4G LTE. So here comes the question.
Sony store list the unlock z2 as "XZ2D6503BK"
And also the sony store on ebay, list three different models of z2 for the same price. XZ2D6503BK/XZ2D6503PL/XZ2D6503WH
So what is the different between these three? Are they all supporting AT&T 4G LTE?
Those are the colors.
Black, purple and white
BK = Black
PL = Purple
WH = White
And yes, they all support 4G as long as the model number is D6503

According to this article, the Neo has passed the FCC now. It also says that AT&T will pick this phone up. That doesn't really follow that they will carry both the Arc and the Neo, so it's gotta be one or the other. Anybody have any insider information?

It took AT&T to adopt X10 after more than half a year and probably we will see ARC or NEO with att by Oct.
ATT doesn't respond
Rogers doesn't respond
SE US or Canada don't respond either.
Good that we are in age of communication. Thats shame/
It may be that they both, arc and Neo, will be sold through SonyStyle unlocked just like the X10 mini, mini pro and X8. But, since Rogers runs the same bands as AT&T, it may not be clear cut as to which carrier will carry it and which one will not.
Z1 is only the HSPA+ version (C6902), wtfbbq...
Z Ultra has LTE

Actually what do you want to know?
Yes it may be in your country. Both are from different stable, will you buy one based on Network?
Yeah, I was all but ready to push buy until I caught that it was C6902 -- why wouldn't they offer C6906? -- Is that Rogers/Canada only or something?

Probably going to offer it a while later....
This was depressing this morning. I have been waiting for the C6906 too, but now my fear is that it will be a T-mobile exclusive like the Z was. Or, maybe it's just delayed, but hopefully we can find a way to order from Canada.
I found the C6903 below the $649 asking price from the Sony store, so it's not the end of the world. Glad to see these aren't in the $700's this time around.

Hmm... I would hate to have a Sony Z1 with a T-Mobile (or any carrier logo) on there. Is there a way to remove it? Is it attached the protector?

The C6903 runs on T-Mobile's LTE. The C6906 is for AT&T LTE.
I bought c6902 I thought its lte version now while rooting I realized it's hspa+ version very sad

I bought the C6903 through eBay but not getting good LTE signal with T-Mobile whereas the G2 got great signal in the same areas

Big changes:
-aluminum frame replaced by chrome plastic frame
-No microsd support, default 32GB storage in device
-Different placement of headphone jack
Internals are all the same. This is believed to be the Z1s 'refresh' that people were talking about being released. Looks like an inferior version of the current Z1, albeit a little bit lighter.
The most important thing is support for LTE-TDD I think as I can't open the link now.
And another why you guys focus on the Z1's follower, at least SoC or some more important things added like nexus 5's Senors batch access. Other small change not a big deal for sell the phone in your hand and get a new one.If Sony begin the rule in world like in Japan, the phone will refresh 3 months, and what, told yourself I must get the new one?
Sorry for the last part but can't stand for some guys wish to ruin such a good phone.
it is just a variant rather than "updated" Z1. it is almost identical with just minor changes rather than improvements.
This is just the China Mobile variant of the Z1, nothing more. China Unicom's version was the L39, this will be the L39t. China Mobile runs their own proprietary version of CDMA and this device will be compatible with their TD-LTE bands. If you live in China that's a great thing, outside of China this will only work on 3G bands.

I just got the L39t and i am outside china, i can use it with TD LTE/ FDD LTE /WCDMA / GSM
however, all the existing root method are not applicable to this variant Z1 L39t
Probably the interior is not same as the normal version
But... what's the purpose??

For the China version Z1 L39t, its only Android 4.2.2 while other version of Z1 is 4.3
Hey whats up guys,
Im looking at getting a z1 and found a good deal on a Z1s. However, being exclusive to T-mobile, it won't be as common as the Z1. So I'm afraid that ROM variety won't be as great as the normal Z1 or anyone knows if the Z1 ROMs are compatible with the Z1s?
What do you guys think?
Nope, they're not, simply, different models.
Try to get the z1 and not the z1s,the updates on the z1 are more faster than the z1s,that phone have some disvantage.
Good luck.

Z1s has a locked BL too so I don't think it even has root at this point.
If I remember correctly you would not get LTE service on Tmobile with the Z1.

There are several variants, and there is an international Z1 variant that was LTE that works with T-Mobile, I think it's the C6903.
The main issue with buying an international version I think is the lack of warranty in the U.S. since it's not sold directly by Sony in the states. The only way to get a warranty on the "Z1" is to buy the Z1S from T-Mobile The regular unlocked Xperia Z is sold in the U.S. by Sony however and has a warranty if you want to go that route... but you'd get the Qualcomm S4 instead of the 800.
EDIT - Here is the international version that works with T-Mo in the U.S., but as I said, no warranty.

I don't think so. The Z1 is sold on sony's online store. I think you can get the 6902 and 6906 from Sony.com. The 6903/6906 will get LTE on tmo
Locked or not it's still a damn good phone.

Good news.
http://www.androidcentral.com/sony-xperia-z3-heading-canada-starting-october-31
Sony has today announced plans to launch the Xperia Z3 in Canada on October 31, with support from Bell, MTS, Rogers, SaskTel, TELUS and WIND Mobile. Should folk wish to purchase the new flagship smartphone without heading down to their local carrier store, Sony stores will also be stocking the same device for purchase on launch day.
No word on how much it will cost just yet, but you can expect to see the device appropriately priced. Purchasers will have the choice of white, black or copper variants.

Indeed. I was waiting on the Z2 for some time, now it will be just easier to get this from my preferred carrier.

I would be very surprised if any manufacturer introduced dual SIM model in North America officially. Financially it does not make a sense in USA because technological incompatibility between most providers there. Telcos in Canada behave very "monopolistic" and are way too powerful here. Not like Europe, there is a much more competition going on there and customer wins.
Just get a dual SIM from 3rd party re-seller. I bought one of eBay and I am satisfied. Sony appears to be the only OEM that actually makes high-end phones that operates on all frequencies used in Canada.

Nope, most likely not. Looking at XperiFirm, there is no Customized US firmware in the list.
I gotten my D6633 from eBay too. and currently use it with Fido and AT&T with the two SIMs and only switching between one at a time.
