Has anyone tried to port over stock aosp 2.1 to our device? My theory is just replace the nook modified files with aosp 2.1 files.

sorry for double post but http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorola_Droid
apprently the motorola droid has similar specs to the nook touch. the droid has 256 mb ram and a power vr sgx 530 gpu.
aosp 2.1 has been ported to that device but I am unable to find the download for it.
I was going to replace the modified nook system files and apks with the ones from aosp 2.1.

This sounds like an interesting idea - I'd be up for trying it!
So as of now, you need the AOSP 2.1 download, right?

yes all I need for now is the AOSP 2.1 download. The 2.1 download I need is for build ERD79 since that is the build the nook runs.
the CPU speed is the big difference. The motorola droid has a 600 mhz ti omap cpu. The nook touch has an 800 mhz ti omap cpu.
so the nook should be able to run stock aosp 2.1.
I think I found the motorola droid android 2.1 update file. http://www.mediafire.com/?iny1nnnodmh
it is odexed and the patch folder contains files with a ,p extension.
what I need is an aosp 2.1 update file that is deodexed.
Tough one.
I'll keep searching, but let me know if you find something.
this seems to *a* droid android 2.1 image. not tested.

This is deodexed android 2.2.1 for motorola droid. I do not know if this can be nodded. If it can be ported to the nook it would be cool.
I think having a deodexed android 2.1 ROM would be easier to port.
I might be possible. The galaxy tab 3 did not get android 4.2 it came with 4,1, but the galaxy tab 3 lite came with android 4.2. The galaxy tab 3 lite stock rom got ported over to the galaxy tab 3.
update:
nook2.2.zip - 132.06 MB
this is an alpha port of the motorla droid rom that was posted. I have not tested this, so flash at your own risk.

If this is for real, can this kernel be extracted to use on other roms?

If i knew what it was in reference to, maybe I could tell you.
Whoops, forgot link.

It might be possible for other 2.1 AOSP / vanilla roms, but i doubt it will work or even boot on sense roms
Well that was a hero Rom ported over to the Eris I'm not sure that the overclock would stay when porting the Rom over. It may have been overclocked originally but prob lost it in the porting.
Does not appear to be overclocked.
why did this get moved? it should be in the eris section?
Hi, does anyone have succesuffly overclock the Xperia X10 ?
Thank you
Is it possible take the apk from the liberated series and install it on cm7?
Signatures are fancy.

No, I believe that HTC actually wrote Flash Lite and it probably is dependent on HTC Sense. You can give it a try, but I would get your hopes up.

If i'm not mistaken it's either of the following:
1. AOSP doesn't support flash lite.
2. flash lite doesn't support AOSP.
which is pretty much what you said. lol.
Well seems that there is number of post on forums for android tables installing flash I belive is version 9 or lite.

Most of the tablets have a CPU that can handle Flash 10. The Aria processor cannot.
Well the new ones do but not all the cheap ones such as zt-180
http://www.slatedroid.com/index.php?showtopic=5278
Its not necessarily that our processor can't handle flash, its that adobe chose not to support our particular processor (atleast at this time).
As far as flash lite that comes on the stock aria, that is an HTC proprietary software and is supported by the sense roms..

Just dl the upgrade program from moto website!

wow... they finaly released froyo for milestone. F U Motorola !
And Motorolas Version of Froyo is not working very well. There are much custom Roms which work pretty better and use 2.3.7!

Don't bump dead topics that are irrelevant.
Anyone know if there is a gingerbread mod yet for the A7 ? Honeycomb too big for 7" screen. Also, does newest firmware update from Elociy run google Market?
And last anyone get Skype to work on their Elocity?
Thanks Running dexters mod 1.2 , great, but would like to get gingerbread, i think?
Gingerbread for A7
There was a rom that was under development here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1079375
But it is discontinued. I have tried it on my A7 and it works but was never completed. Meaning it still has bugs and not everything works. I guess it depends on what you use your A7 for. I went back to Dexter's ElocityA7 Mod v1.41 for a daily driver. I keep hoping someone will pick back up Gingerbread development for our A7's.
If anyone knows of another one in development I would also like to know.

Alternate kernel, with original softkeys enabled can be downloaded here
this is also used when you change density setting to 130, so you get the "gingerbread" launcher running instead.
Rename this download to Update.zip and copy directly to sdcard. no unpacking for this is required.

changing the density lower then 130 on A7comb will change the honeycomb UI to gingerbread, you also have to flash the kernel above for the soft keys to function again

I was browsing the internet for some issues I was having with cwm and came across Dexter's cyanogenmod ROM and OC Kernel.
h t t p : / / w w w .androidtablets.net/forum/elocity-tablets/22743-dexters-cyanogenmod7rc1-a7-gingerbread-2-3-5-base-rom.html
Kernel is OC to 1.4Ghz
Enjoy!

that is my post over there on androidtablets, dexter no longer post here so i had to follow him to his new site tabletroms to get the latest file for the A7,
froyo is still more stable than gingerbread, it is good enough to stick with if one don't mind not having a working camera plus it is a cyanogenmod ROM, and more stable than the honeycomb..
I have just finished creating a ROM based off Toobany 2.1 and VK 3.4+ with heavy modifications done for gaming. RAM speed has been boosted, with a core clock of 3ghz (1.5ghz x2). It runs everything bread and butter, comes with every single Iconia HD game, and benches 9000 in AnTuTu and 14k in CF-Bench. I would like to make it into a flashable rom for gamers. Anyone able to help?
Thanks,

Zp it up and post it up in the DEV section, not here.
That is the thing, not exactly sure how to do it. Any help would be much appreciated.

You created a zip of your ROM correct?
Upload it to someplace like megaupload and post it in the DEV section.
I guess I'm not sure what you're asking maybe?
My thoughts are if you actually created a ROM, that this part certainly wouldn't be rocket science to you?!?
Did you create a rom or tweak someones existing rom?.
Give them credit.

Yes it is based off toobany 2.1 and hv 3.4+. I have made several twesks which include every hd game, 3.0ghz effective processor, overclocked ram. SD mounted internally, and more ntegra tweaks based on the nvidia apk. I basically want to rip my rom sans all my google info and upload it.
Thanks for your help.

So your question is what then? I'm sorry, I'm still having a hard time understanding exactly what you're asking. If you've flashed the ROM you built, then you already have it ready to upload to a site, and have it ready for others to download, correct?
okay buddy it sounds like you have the rom built but you just dont know how to advertise it what i recommend doing would be taking the files"flash zips/folders" and upload to website just as suggested before then send me the link. ill try it
