In my opinion, this is the biggest issue currently plaguing the nexus one... If I wasn’t stuck with tmobile/tzones, I would switch to a droid (verizon) or capitivate (att) in an instant because this problem seriously kills the usability of the product. Im not talking about the lack of true multitouch (crossing axis, 3 finger, etc) cause I know that’s a non issues unless you play one of the 5 games in marketplace that require true multitouch. This is different... It is very annoying when you are halfway through typing a sentence and suddenly your “t” registers as a “v” or your “m” registers as “home”, etc.... Im keeping my nexus because there are other factors that make it the better overall phone for me but I really think some of you fanboys need to open your eyes and realize there is (are) huge flaws with out beloved dev phone.
I don't recall seeing anyone post that the nexus was the best phone because it had no issues at all.
when this happens to me I just lock and unlock the phone and the issue is gone.
What I don't understand is that in the title you say it's a deal-breaker and in your post you say you're keeping the phone. So which is it?
Also, you're about five months late in *****ing about this issue.
And rather than come here and calling us all fanboys, maybe you should take a look in the mirror at the idiot who bought a device with an issue that bothers him so much.
Really though, you just made a fool of yourself for everyone to see.
Fanboi out.
this post was directed at the blind fanboys who go into the other threads and act like this is a non issue... it is not.
any phone i buy is going to have some glaring flaw... i think it is impossible to have a perfect phone. i am just identifying this as the nexus ones #1 flaw.
As Old MuckenMire stated, you are BY FAR not the first person to whine about this. It's an old issue, and I'm pretty sure it has to do with the hardware. These "fanbois" have probably accepted it as a non-issue because there is no fix.
BTW, the Galaxy S is available on T-Mo as the Vibrant.

i personally think that this issue is MUCH worse than lack of true multitouch, but every week we get a thread about multitouch when i think thats the true non issue
galaxy s does not work with tzones
It's all down to opinion.
Should it have been fixed before even shipping the device? **** yes.
Do I really care? No.
The truth is, it's only as big a deal as you make it.
This issue doesn't happen to me very often, like 3 times a week? All I have to do is just lock and unlock the screen.
Mhmm. Simple. Maybe a little annoying, but nothing too infuriating.
exactly, this happens to me about 3 times a week, sometimes less. to fix it you just lock the screen and the issue is gone. i'm not saying its a non-issue. i'm just saying its not the end of the world and certainly isnt a "deal breaker" like the title of this thread. every phone has their stupid quirks. look at the galaxy s, the gps doesnt barely work. the evo has 30 fps cap (which is a way worse issue than nexus touch), on and on. each device has some issue or another.

Use Swype or Swift Key.
Swype is the worst when you have this issue. No words will work until you lock/unlock the screen.

You know this touch screen issue with the wrong letters being registered, I used to have this problem about 2-3 times a day. Then when froyo came out, it was like twice a month. Now ever since I flashed Cyanogen 6, I have yet to see it. Don't know how or why...I'm just thankful
Very nice
This issue seems to be a thousand times worse if the phone's been getting hot from sitting in the car dock. EVERY time I pull it out of there after it's been there for more than 10 minutes or so, the phone's so hot that it's painful to touch it, and the touch screen's really flaky even after locking and unlocking, unless i let it cool down first.

Uhhhhh your device should NEVER get that hot.
Hmmm, this happened a few times right after I got my N1 in March but I don't think it has happened since.
Sorry, total non-issue for me.

Be that as it may, I have yet to ever experience this issue. Can you tell me how I can try to recreate it?
Hi, I have looked through the threads but haven't found info, wanted to see what fellow Canadian owners have done in regards to the touchscreen issue. Also wanted to add this thread as to show another variant having issues, Rogers was unaware until I called them and they saw xda threads. They were helpful but unfortunately advised have to wait for LG to send an update. I have tried all of the suggestions for the other variant phones including installing SGS touchscreen booster and unfortunately nothing helped. Have the Rogers variant and was wondering if others have found a solution temporarily. Rogers hasn't received the lg keyboard update yet. Thanks all.

I'm on Rogers, and SGS fixed my issues. All the US carriers are releasing updates as we speak, so I can only assume the Canadian carriers will follow soon. LG is getting returns because of this issue, so you can bet they will be all over a fix.
As for Rogers being unaware of the issue...that's bull. They always say that. Rogers knows.
LG G4
Thanks for the reply. Awesome to hear SGS worked for you. Did you do anything else, developer options etc? I will perform another factory reset and try again. Hope I can get it working, pain in the arse having the missing touches. Hopefully rogers does it sooner than later.
OP, there's another post for CDN models here. LINK
I am also experience pretty annoying touch screen issues, and I can't even exchange with WIND since they claim they're out of stock.

I didn't change anything in my developer options (other than disabling all animations). My Touchscreen issues weren't bad to begin with, and I DO NOT use the stock keyboard. Both of those are most likely why SGS helped me.
Thx for the info guys, I will read through the cdn section and start using swift key with sgs.
I think this whole issue is overrated. Yes, I get the occasional miss but so what? Same thing has happened with every smart phone I've owned. Maybe I didn't tap hard enough, maybe I did. But why does the occasional miss get people's knickers in such knots. It has virtually no effect on the user experience with this great phone.

I wouldn't say that. You might not be getting the issue as others are. Apparently it's pretty bad with some phones.
If you didn't know, the LG G2 had a huge issue with its touchscreen where the top portion of the screen stopped working, edge to edge, so people couldn't tap on anything in that portion of the screen.
The G3 also had its issues and now G4. LG clearly needs to change their touchscreen/digitizers and use someone else's if they're incapable of reliability.
Anyways, I was coming here to start a new thread and ask if someone tried the version from Wind to see if it has the touchscreen issue before I buy the phone. Thank you to the person who mentioned it !!

It might not be too apparent for other people, but on mine it's been getting worse. Someone mentioned before that it actually seems issues get worse as the phone gets hotter.
Not sure how much of that is true, but it kills the experience for me.

I have WIND one, and the issue is there.
It started off being hardly noticed now and could seem to be my mistake. Now it's much worse and every other swipe registers as a type, taps are missing around 50 - 60%. Can't get it exchanged either since WIND claims their sold out of G4's in the GTA region, with an exception of one return for an S6.
Not entirely sure I will keep my G4 as much as I love it.

I think going for the S6 is the best choice. I'm considering the 3 phones, M9, g4, s6. S6 seems to be the least buggy, as usual. M9 has its hardware issues or I'd get it.

Honestly every phone has it's quirks, by no means will your S6 have no chance of issues. You can check out the S6 forum on XDA for more info.
Even with that being said, this LG G4 touch screen issue seems pretty big IMO in comparison to the number of issues on the S6.
Apart from Touchscreen issues, are you guys getting the Wi-fi issue?

Overheating, dead gyroscope, lagging, front camera purple dots, horrid battery life....

To be fair, some of those aren't real issues that ONLY affect the S6.
"Overheating" seems like almost a loose term as people complain about their phones getting hot, but it happens to nearly every android phone.
Lagging "issue" seems to be something people will always complain about with every new phone for some reason, heck there's even post about it here.
"Horrid battery life" isn't really that bad. Yes the G4 is better, but even then people still complain about having a issues with it.
I still think having touch screen issues is the worse, especially since the updates for the US seemed to have fixed it for some while others are still plagued by it.
It leaves me in a state indecisiveness where I love this phone and want to believe it can be fixed via software or I should just cut my losses and exchange to an S6 while I can.
I agree with you. Overheating is going to be an issue for any high end phone going forward, because processors keep getting more powerful (with no active cooling), and phones keep getting thinner. Overheating is also subjective. Most people feel their phone getting warm and assume it's overheating. If it doesn't warn you and start throttling, it's not overheating.
Battery life is totally subjective as no two users are the same. Screen on time is the worst way to measure battery life. Someone surfing the net is going to get a lot more screen on time than someone gaming and watching 4k videos.
LG G4 Touch screen issue is present in Canada as well
I am reposting my reply on this Canadian thread:
To all Canadian LG G4 buyers, the touch screen problem is alive and present in Canada as well. I bought a Wind Mobile LG G4, everything was fine at first but once I plugged it into the charger, it started to to miss touches and being unresponsive (the touches won’t register on the first try) the good test is when you double tap to wake or sleep OR when you go to phone’s setting and touch “about phone” or something else and it misses the first touch. It SHOULD NOT miss any touches, period. I put it next it to my LG G3 and on my LG G3 double tap to wake and sleep worked every time and no missed touches in the phone setting either, when it was plugged into the charger.. but it didn’t work on LG G4 which is unacceptable for $700 phone, once again it only happens when you PLUGGED IT in to the charger, if its disconnected it works fine. I returned that phone

Thanks for the explanation, it makes sense. But The simple consumer question is: should I pay quite a significant amount of money for a top of the line phone that lags and stutters, despite my love for Xperia, and risking contempt from other phone users who have older but smoother models, with just some hope that some tuning might come in the future?

This is an important question.
First of all its not that there are stutters everywhere, the overall performance is still good.
As the phone just got released, and every freshly released phone has some kind of software issues, i'd suggest to wait for some firmware updates.
I have already seen there is an update scheduled for the Z5 series, which may be coming soon.
Approx. when marshmallow comes to the Z5 series, things are going to get better.
Overall the Z5C is an excellent phone otherwise.
I saw a video of the Z5 compact which showed that it's performance was much worse than the z3 compact. I'm looking to get the Z5 myself but if that also performance issues then I doubt I'll buy it.
One thing I learnt from having the LG G3 is that it's not wise to buy a product with issues hoping that they MAY be fixed with software updates.
If Sony cared so much then it wouldn't have been released with sluggish performance. Hopefully your right and this can be fixed, as the Z5 was seeming perfect to me but I'm not too confident.

I've seem the vid too, its nowhere near as bad as it seems there.
In some parts its faster, but sometimes (very rare) there are some small lag spikes.
Mine's been like butter (so far).

No problems here either - at least as fast/smooth as my Z3c (which would also have the odd stutter).
If I can get two average days battery life, I can accept 99% smoothness.

The thing is, you don't have to make sacrafices.
100% smoothness and the same battery-life is possible with ease.
It is the same with my Z Ultra, i modified Sony's system-scripts and now my Ultra is smoother with unaffected battery-life.
This phone is awesome so it deserves some more fine-tuning.
Surely the experience depends what people are running on their phones?
For example, my Z3 compact never had an stuttering or lag with the stock Xperia launcher, but using the Google Now launcher I would get the odd stutter maybe once a day. People not running the Google Now launcher would never experience any issue.
I can only say that in my case, the Z5 compact is as smooth and fluid as the Z3 using the same apps on a daily basis.

Hey guys, received my Z5 compact last week, as an upgrade from my Z1 compact.
For the moment I'm finding the phone very slow and often downright unresponsive.
I'm sure it can be solved with z firmware update, but it is really disappointing after the great experience I had with the Z1c.

You that got problems, are your units white? They seem to have a lot more problems.
Nope, black here.

I think white batch has a problem with unresponsive screen but we all suffer from stuttering and slowdowns. I had a white brick and swapped it for a black without the problem.

For now this is a carrier only update. Let's see if they bring it to non-carrier versions as well.
I've got big problems with my Z5C, it's really unresponsive and slow like 90% of the time I use it. I also had Z1C before and I didn't experience that.
Hopefully some update will come soon cause it's driving me crazy!

I suppose you have one of those white z5c that have such an issue, a software update should resolve it on the months coming. On my black z5c, there aren't any problems like that.
I have absolutely no problems either... I've got the black one too.
My Z5 was also slow and stuttering(e.g when playing Spotify music from cache and during camera app). what i did was replace my SD card for a faster one
Sandisk Ultra 64GB (class 10) => Samsung Evo 64GB (UHS 1)
benchmarks show roughly twice the speed. it makes me curious what an UHS3 card will do
Out of all the smart phones I have owned since 2009, my experience with the Z2 has probably been the worst. On paper, the phone looks good. Nice big screen, good battery life, nice camera and water and dust proof to boot. In my mind, it beat all of the competitors at the time. The big problem I have found is the terrible software.
Sony seems to be clueless. Each new build introduced new bugs and didn't squash the old ones. Since Lollipop I have had issues with the screen not locking properly. The phone was constantly unlocking itself in my pocket and pocket dialling my contacts. I had to disable tap to unlock and this stopped that but still the phone wont always lock properly. I will have read a text say, close the application and lock the phone. The screen goes dark but a press of the button and it's unlocked again. No swipe of the screen. When you lock it, it should be locked. Typing out texts, sometimes it will freeze for a moment, then catch up with what I typed. I'm not fast at typing or anything. In fact I'm pretty rubbish lol.
The camera isn't great by any means. My old S3 was just as good and took better low light images. I don't think I will ever get a Sony again. It's a shame as my k700i was a great old phone.
Is it just me or does anyone else have issues with the Z2's dodgy software?
I am satisfied except camera performance.
@5nakedoc , i think it's just you...
I never had the phone unlock by itself, never had a pocket call and never disabled tap to unlock either...
Go to settings --> security --> automatically lock --> choose immediately and it should solve the problem of phone not locking right away when you press power button.
Lags? if you have lags the problem is on your side for sure, i have 55gb of stuff on my phone and i run my cpu at 1.5ghz max most of the time, no lags here.
I never used sony keyboard maybe it has bugs, i use swype in all my android phones, zero lag typing on my z2.
About camera...yeah auto mode sucks, manual mode is better, but camera fv-5 is what does the trick for me. Just try other camera apps...
I would hate to know what you think about the rest of the phone as you said the camera is one of your favourite features :/

I don't think an awful lot of it. The software bugs are annoying. That post was just after I got it and before the worst of the bugs began to plague me. Plus the expensive case I bought from Sony direct, failed on two corners and is completely useless now. (Not dropped ever) I think I mentioned that the problems really only started when they updated to Lollipop.
I was unable to locate the setting mentioned above, perhaps you are not running the most recent software but it wasn't where you described or anywhere else that I looked within settings.
Lags may be down to the sheer number of texts I have from that contact. I suspect they number in the thousands. I might try a factory reset when I have an evening spare and see if this helps. I do feel a little sentimental about those texts though but they are backed up to google.
Nope i have not seen any single problm except battery

Hi Najmi,I'm currently running version 5.1.1,i dont have encountered any issues with this version,I'd like to ask at what android version did you start to have these problems?Thank you
Maybe you should try asking for solutions to each of your problems. I don't like Lollipop either. Its been crap on all but nexus phones. Have you the S5? It became a bugs galore with Lollipop. Every non-nexus smartphone had the awake problem and extended power consumption.
I would advise you to go back to KK. Its bug-free.
About the camera, I tried indoor image comparison between both phones in auto-mode (I just got both phones and didnt get the time to properly compare the cameras) and the Z2 was clearly better indoors without lighting. Macros and close shots were also better on Z2. Later on I learnt about the Night Scene Mode in Manual mode. No phone could match Z2 at the time. There was a lot of noise but the pictures had more details than what was visible through the naked eyes. Nowadays phones with manual mode can shoot the same type of photos. But comparing the phones that came with Z2 it was the best.
Oh and I used to get 8 hours SoT in KK in 2 days without any root or such thing.
5nakedoc, I regret being in complete disagreement with you. For me, the Z2 has been one of my most appreciated phones. I bought it with Android 4.1.2 and have been updated since then until 4.4.4. I have not kept updating it more because I have a very useful app to my health insurance does not work with Lollipop.
Certainly, I recognize that the lock-release of Lollipop do not like as much as Kit Kat, but with a Xposed framework and modules in kit kat, I have a super performance, without any problem to lock-unlock, even removing the button emergency call and also the one of the camera.
The Stamina mode gives me an excellent performance during the day, coming to the end of the day with an average of 50-70% of battery, using whatsapp usually.
Also the wifi mode based on location works well, etc.
The camera fully satisfy me, and with an optical zoom could be the summum
What else can I want from a phone?
Perhaps you must keep in Kit kat and forget Lollipop experiences. I think there's most stable with old android versions.

The Sony Xperia™ Z2 is one awesome device. If it has cons, it would be the speakers, I guess. But that's all. I've been using it since June 2014 and NEVER got those same problems with you.
Get your phone checked instead of coming here and blabbing about how bad it is.

Since Lollipop of course. Latest one also. Fresh install including formatting both internal and external storage. You should compared kitkat and lollipop. That's why I revert back to Kitkat which give me better battery life and louder speaker.

The ONLY thing you have proven with your attitude is that old saying ...
"You can't please ALL the people ALL the time."
Aside from being a techie with over 35 years of computer and phone skills, I've been through dozens of smartphones from the original iPhone to my current Sony Z2. I've RARELY kept any of them for more than 6 months. I've jailbroken or rooted every single one of them (except a Sharp which nobody has been able to root).
IMHO, the Sony Z2 is THE BEST smartphone I've ever carried. I'm NOT saying it's perfect. None of them are perfect. However, having carried and compared Apple, HTC, Samsung, LG, Motorola and Sharp smartphones, I believe that the Sony Z2 has the BEST screen image quality, color accuracy and camera (excluding the Z5). The photos I've captured with my Z2 are so good, I no longer haul around my expensive Hasselblad equipment when I travel. I've blown up my Sony pics and turned them into life-size pieces of artwork. No other smartphone lets you turn it sideways and keep it charged in a magnetic $4 cradle. Very few smartphones since the original Nexus have the ability to program the notification light with different colors. It even feels like a quality device, not a plastic toy.
Sony has been one of the very few manufacturers that embraces developers like the ones on XDA,
instead of trying to stop us from rooting and customizing our phones.
I'm sorry that you don't have the abilities or desire to resolve your Z2 software dislikes.
I'm currently running Mx ROM V7.70 which has Android 5.1.1 plus lots of Z5 apps
and am not having ANY problems with it. Only complaint are 2 apps he adds which I uninstalled.
I'm so happy with my Z2, I'm even passing up the new Z5 (for now anyway) and may keep my Z2 for a second year.
Glenn
P.S. I also have a Sony Smartwatch 3 and am loving how Google keeps improving Android Wear.
Nexus 7 / Sony Z2 / Teclast X98 Air 3G / iPhone 2S
Yea the z2 is by far my favourite smart phone ever. It may have some minor issues here and there, but all in all, it really is a solid device. I've had it for a year and a half now, and I still don't see any devices that I could justify upgrading to (with the exception of the z3, z4, z5). Every other manufacturer would have some sort of drawback in some way. My z2 does everything I need plus more.
Bull Sh*t. Z2 is one of the best phones. If you compare it with Z3 I think design wise Z3 maybe good but other than that I think Z2 is an amazing device.
Display, Battery Life, Software, everything is perfect. Yes Lollipop actually made the phone to die fast. It's all because of the "Mobile Radio Active bug"
If you talk about Camera it all comes to personal experience. I agree it doesn't do well on Superior Auto mode but it does a great job if you tweak the manual mode and you need to know the stuff you're dealing with.
Then again I think Sony kinda ruined HDR mode but I am okay with it.
I can't use single phone for a good year, I upgrade fast, dude this phone I am using for 2 freaking years now. I am more than happy and I'm actually not pleased with any of the phones which was released this year(maybe because of SD810). @Authi it was released with 4.4.2 not 4.1.2
This phone is awesome are you kidding. My only issue is people are always asking what kind of fancy phone that is. Noone in the US even has any idea that Sony even makes phones even though they like the look of it. This is exactly why Sony is losing money because of no marketing presence.

Exactly. Anyone with an interest in phones that has seen my z2, loves it. Even people I know who don't have an interest, when they see all the pros of it, they still comment asking what kind of phone it is. I've said it from day one. Sony makes an incredible device, it's just that nobody knows about them (in North America at least).

Out of all the smart phones I have owned since 2009, my experience with the Z2 has probably been the worst. On paper, the phone looks good. I have owned a Galaxy S3 before my XPERIA Z2 (and before the Galaxy S3 I owned the x10i). The Samsung phone (not a fanboy of Sony here) was my worst phone EVER. It was faster than my XPERIA x10i, yeah, but I can't relate to anything you say. My XPERIA has NEVER unlocked out of nothing, even with tap to unlock (I know this feature can cause automatic unlocks in your pockets for example). My camera is much and much better than the Galaxy S3. Battery life is also much better. My S3 couldn't hold out a full day, my XPERIA can reach up to 2 days. Freezing? Well it never freezed here only by a faulty third party app.
And you're saying the phone is full of new bugs each update? Which bugs? I haven't seen any major bugs, only on that crappy slow Galaxy, which was freezing all the time because of the heavy Touchwiz software that was running. Okay, I'm exaggerating with all the time, but you know how frustrating it is since your XPERIA has been freezing too. But I haven't experienced one of the problems you describe, my girlfriend owns the XPERIA Z2 too, and she hasn't experienced it too.
I think the source of the problems is you and not the phone and the software that is pre-installed on the phone. Don't take this as a personal attack, because it isn't one.
Cheers.
I've had my Mocha Mate 9 4gb 64gb since Thursday so been playing quite heavily all weekend.
I'd say I'm a heavy user BTW!
Battery - its on 80% today after 7 hours, and last night was 40% when I retired. As the battery will get stronger on the next few days this will be a killer battery and easily last 1 day plus. Charges very quickly.
Size - Its HUGE! I have big hands and you need to juggle it on occasion. However it makes it so much more usable.
Screen - lovely. Great colours and detail.
Camera - WOW. Just wow. I am now selling my Sony digital. Just wish there were some obvious settings to set where the pics get saved to etc.
Speakers - not bad but I don't believe there are 2 in the bottom...
Fingerprint sensor - rocket fast! I use my phone in my left hand so its easy to set up, but in trying to set up for right handed use I kept hitting the power button by mistake and eventually gave up. This might be a problem for lefties who use the phone in their right hand.
A couple of times I've opened apps and the on screen menu buttons have not appeared. This makes it quite difficult to switch between apps with this bug.
Also plugging in a USB cable to transfer in pics from my laptop has resulted in the connection hanging. Its fine on my Oneplus3 so assume a bug. Good job it has a removable SD card!!
Phone manager keeps popping up (in the notification area) referring to power hungry apps but it doesn't seem to let me cancel these notifications permanently.
Another gripe is the notifications (as mentioned elsewhere). It gives you a total number but not the actual app icons to show what the notifications are! This is probably the worst thing about the mate 9.
Smart lock Trusted Places/location isn't available as Huawei in their wisdom decided to remove one of the great android features!
Google Play Music appears to have lost the equaliser in android 7! I've reverted to Captune and Poweramp.
A few tweaks to fw would make this awesome. I'm loving it - shame theres no s pen (ex note 7 user still in mourning).
I bought it in the UK from MYGSM.ME and had it from dubai on 4th day. Pretty good. I also like the included snap on case.
Hope this helps with anyone thinking of buying.
Only one speaker (right) works but you'll find some audio via the top earpiece too. But it's very quiet in comparison.

True, i hope they crank the volume up a tad in the next update
Notifications should be fixed on the final build. It's still pre-release software on retail devices for some reason.
Hopefully improvements to camera and audio as well.
hey mate did you get a tracking code from mygsm? I also bought from them last Thurs and haven't received one. Can't wait to get my hands on mine , also got the same colour
thanks
Defo agree with all the things you've mentioned. Can't wait for the notification and other bugs to be fixed.
Really liking this phone so far!
Btw I'm on Build B110. Is this a pre-release build?

Me too.
Loving every bit of this phone. Have 2 major issues:
1. Notifications are a disaster! Why Huawei tried to reinvent notifications in android is beyond me. This is my first Huawei phone so not sure if its been like this always or mate 9 is special. I have to enable each app individually to show notifcations in the lock screen and even then its very unpredictable. The top notification bar only shows the number of notifications rather than showing the apps icons. Anyway, i hope this gets fixed soon.
2. This one I haven't seen anyone else complaining but maybe its not serious enough for others. When i am using the phones, it sometimes does not register my tap and i have to tap again. I see the problem gets worse when tapping something close to the edges of the display. Not sure if its some sort of Huawei technology to avoid accidental taps by your palm when holding the phone in one hand and try to reach far ends of the display, but its driving me insane.
Anybody else with these issues?
Apart from these, its the best Android phone I've ever used. My last one was galaxy s7 edge, just to give everyone a perspective.
Cheers,
Hi, I recognize the taping problem and it's very annoying. Clearly software related; lets hope it's fixed now with the new firmware.
Yes same problem here, but I think it's a software problem. I can draw with my knuckles in the edge areas with low sensibility.

have you tried enabling touches on the dev settings? Might be worth doing that to see whether the screen is responding as it might indicate a screen problem over a software problem.

Absolutely! And it drives me insane too! X( I am barely able to write a text. I also tried few different keyboards, just in case. But the problem seems to be the touchscreen itself This and the okayish battery life (with Huawei Watch and Gear Fit2 connected) are major deal breakers for me. It's just not worth that much money... To make matters worse, one could buy a S7 Edge for the same price! And that is one of the best phones I ever had -_-
Coming from a S7 Edge and iPhone 7 Plus.

I already now have OnePlus 3T in my other pocket and using them side by side. I might just switch over to Oneplus if Huawei keeps on delaying the release of a GA firmware. That'd be pity because i really really liked the phone and its camera.
Im also facing a similar problem with touch response and im wondering if a replacement will fix the issue...
My main problem is it's nearly impossible to touch icons or arrows on the top right corner right under the notification bar

Do you feel its a software issue (some icons don't have proper touch mapping) or digitizer is faulty?
yes i am also having trouble registering key press specifically on the number 1 or alphabet q on the keyboard.
if this is unfixable by firmware update I might sell and go back to samsung
