Just got my Cat6 version G3 for few weeks. And apply for upgrade my sim card to 4G last month, which will be valid from 10/1.
So I woke up this morning and found the signal to be LTE+ !
So I perform a speed test and found internet surfing to be ultra fast than usual.
But there's still some disadvantages.
1. When I use LTE network surfing for more than 10min, the phone temperature will raised to reach 46.5C .
2. The battery consumption for the 10min is around 15% which is amazing.
So, I cannot imagine if I use LTE network and charge at the same time.
What carrier do you have? Where do you live?
I live in Detroit. I have T-Mobile. I can not Lte. Just 3g.
...
It's funny cause speeds like 95mbps should be managable on normal g3. Where I live (PL), it's possible to reach 45-55mbps (It's not to often though). It's fun to download torrents with 4mb/s, while walking from work to the parking lot
I hit 45mbps in Reading UK a few days ago. For that kind of battery usage, I'd want 1gbps
Here's my speed test... I'm on Verizon, in Toledo, Ohio, U.S. I know my phone isn't cat6:angel:
I hit 86-89mbps in New Zealand on normal G3. I would of thought we would behind the times being at the bottom of the world but clearly not.
Cat 6 means like gettin' 100-300Mbs. This version is meant for South-Korea, where they have more advanced LTE there. I got 50Mbs unlimited dataplan on my phone, but I could get 100Mbs, it just costs more. And I have the "basic" model.

So what? Don't you know that LTE is so fast because it is so more power consuming tech than 3G? LOL
It is common sense
For you info, in case you didn't notice, your Cat.6 G3 has 2 batteries included in the box. You don't have to surf and browse at the same time, just swap battery when it is depleted and you're good to surf again
LG G3 D855 had the Lollilop in Polland for Europ.
Anyone know where to find it Lollilop for our G3 cat6?
thank you

I thought UK EE used Cat6 for their LTE-A
When I was on LG uplus, the S5 LTE-A can easily hit 95/40Mbps
Now I switched to KT/Olleh and F460K can barely reach 10/10Mbps
I bought my Cat 6 though eBay, imported it to Belgium.

The best I ever got with verizon LTE with 5 bars right next to a tower is 33mbs DL and 15UL. Yet with 3/5 bars you get 38/14. And I bet it never just drops too. oh why verizon WHY. With 3/5 bars on verizon I avg 8-15mbsDL and 2.5-11mbsUL, with the best being 24/15.

I didn't check speeds, but it was pretty damn fast. But I was in the capitol at the airport, so it will always be faster lol. But even 3G is pretty fast back in Poland. America is way behind on mobile data.
@OP , Im in Harford, best I ever got was 8Dwn 1Up on HSPA+, wife has LG Nitro HD LTE, will have to give it a try. Was told by a Best Buy Mobile Rep we should be getting LTE any week now. 2 ATT customer service reps on the phone coulnd find a date, but said all LTE markets should be done in the next 2 months.

I agree, and even though they say Turkcell has one of the fastest networks available worldwide, and Steve Wozniak's thoughts about the network, I can't really say that its that fast because I used the same network for 4 years. Maybe it was the phones I used, who knows?
Hi,
how about the ping? is the ping always constant 40-50? or also sometimes 100+ or 20?

Dang. I can relate: mine's somewhere between 8 and 12mbit/s down, and somewhere between 800k and 1mbit/s up... Though, any uploading will render the down-stream almost unusable. Say I want to upload a video and idly browse websites while I wait, or play an online game, even one as light on traffic as a super quiet Minecraft server... not happening. Latency is through the roof until the upload's done. :/
On the plus side, it's unlimited, so I've got that going for me which is nice. I've still been tempted to use my phone's 4G to quickly upload things, though. :I

Hey guys,
So I'm in the market to possibly replace my Sony Xperia Z3 and I'm intrigued by the sheer awesomeness that is the Note. I'm wondering if I ordered the phone from china, would I be able to use it with an AT&T Sim card and have cellular access? I don't need FULL LTE speeds, though I'd like to have close to that.Sorry for the newb question! I couldn't find an answer to this anywhere.
Cheers,
Bump! Still need this information. Thanks!

I have tested using my AT&T SIM card in the USA. I have the export model which says fdd-lte/tdd-lte/wcdma/gsm on the box label. I get H, or H+ next to Mobile strength to pop up on the top header which I believe is GPRS. It also says AT&T 3G on the top header, so I don't believe you can get LTE in the States. As stated, battery life is excellent. I'm still on V5. Struggling to upgrade to V6. There seem to be many links and different versions of V6 for the 4G. I have tried them all, but I get a big X and a stop message in Chinese, so I'm not sure what any of it means. It just reboots to V5. Will keep exploring.

Sorry, just noticed your post. It varies but on my last test I got a Ping of 21 ms, Download of 6Mbps (it seemed to slow down as the test proceeded) and Upload of 6.4 Mbps. Still running on 3G. When I get H+ the download speed seems to go faster, but the upload much slower. Again speeds seem to vary, depending on the signal.
I tried to modify the phone to get AT&T LTE bands, but no go.
I am using Redmi note 4(bought in India). I have H2o sim, which use AT&T network. I am getting LTE here in Texas. and download speed 3.5 MBps and 0.74 Upload. not bad for my usage.
I own both phones. The AT&T 810 and the international 815. To my surprise every speed test that I have done the AT&T version is faster than the international 815. Can’t explain it I would assume that each phone had the same hardware. My 815 and my 810 running on the same LTE band and I have tried different speed tests in different parts of the city even when the LTE band changed. For data download the AT&T is much faster. Again I have tested both phones side-by-side over and over and I would have assumed the 815 would’ve been the same or a little quicker. Even when I ran the quadrant speed test the AT&T beat my international version, not by that much but it still was faster poster just.
On top of this, my wife has a S6 edge and it beats my 815 in all the speed tests, it’s comparable to my 810.

I have attached some pictures of two different tests. On the 810 you can ignore the 175 because that was accidentally on Wi-Fi.
A couple of things I have noticed in the carousel of homepages on the 815 I cannot scroll around and around you will come to the end of your homepages on the left or the right. On the AT&T 810 it will carousel around.
The AT&T screen has a yellow to it were my 815 is very white to the point I think something’s wrong with the 810 (AT&T). That I will be returning the phone for screen without the yellow hue to it.
That's a cool observation. On a similar note, I found my G4 to be faster than my AT&T G3 by about 3mbps download.

Or try to go to a different carrier shop and ask if you can test out their speeds. See if it makes a difference. Compare it to the employees that work there. If yours is still slow, maybe you have a faulty device.

Im thinking the bands could be locked to one instead of connecting to multiple bands. I hope it's not faulty device but it is worth a shot, I have TMobile service and at&t and they are the same speed for some reason. My TMobile speeds range from 50-70Mbps and at&t 30-45Mbps, Both are locked at 1.2Mbps. I use at&t service for work and TMobile for Personal use. I have the 13 Model so I could test with Verizon.

Never had issues with at&t or my TMobile service before, what is strange is the data speeds being identical. That has never happened my TMobile service always been faster than my at&t service. I'll have time this weekend to root and play around with network guru to lock bands see if that's helps.

Let's say it isn't the network. The next step would be to get a new sim card. If that doesn't work, ask your provider to set up your OP6T as a LTE only device.
Well I managed to fix my problem with my network, rooted check network guru everything was fine all bands worked. So I googled stock files flash via fastboot all is good now. Both my networks are back to normal, guess it was just something with the radio. :good:
