Cloud Print problems -- no errors, nothing - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
I must not be searching correctly, because I figured this would be a common problem with a simple solution. As the title suggests, I can't print with Cloud Print. I know I have it set up correctly on my google account, because I can print from my iPad, etc.
If I try to print from the Chrome or Gmail app, I select "Print" and nothing happens -- no errors, nothing. I installed the Cloud Print app from the play store, Cloud Print appears as one of the print services, when I click on the cloud print service, I see my connected printers, but I'm unable to print from Chrome, Gmail, etc. I've been searching for a fix for 2 days, and can't figure it out.
I've also tried uninstalling/reinstalling Cloud Print, clearing the cache, installing Cloud Print Plus, turning the cloud print service off then back on and countless other things.
I'm running XtreStoLite 1.35a on a G900T.

Unfortunately no. Cloud Print works from my iPad though.
Hi,
I'm having quite the same problem on my Galaxy Tab Pro 3 and on my Galaxy S5.
With the same network and the same software, everything is working fine with a Google Nexus 10
The file to be print seems to be correctly prepared on the phone (or on the tablet) but is not sent to Google Drive or Google Cloud Print.
I've an error message but it's not very useful it just says (translated from French to English as I own French products) :
Printing error for "name of file to be printed"
I've extensively searched the net but nobody seems to use Google Cloud Print on Samsung Galaxy products ....
Sorry for my poor English.

Does Cloud Print work from your computer or another device? If not, it might have something to do with the printer or printer's connection to Cloud Print.
I can print from my iPad, computer and from the Drive app on my phone, so I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the ROM.
Yes, Cloud Print work perfectly well from my computers (various models) and from another Tablet (Google Nexus 10).
The problem is only encountered with my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 3 and with my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone.
On my Galaxy Tab Pro 3 the error message is sent from the printer spooler of the Tab.
Found solution for me. Another app printspooler was deactivated. All good now.
Great info, thanks.
How did you reactivate it? I checked Titanium Backup and I don't see that app. Is it something I have to install? I couldn't find it in the play store. Is in an Aroma addon?
SOLVED!
I added the Samsung Print Service (something like that) in Aroma. FYI, I was able to freeze HP Print Service Plugin in Titanium and everything still worked. Thanks cyphomatic for pointing me in the right direction.

Printing Text Messages
Hi does anyone know of a way to print text messages off a N1? for example receiving and sending text message conversations between one person? and that it will show the date and time as well if possible of the messages? thnx
There are apps that will allow you to save texts to your Google account, and you could probably print from there (never tried)...
any ideas?
Cloud print also allows printing SMS
Well, I'm using Google's Cloud printing service along with the "Cloud Print" app from the Market to do that. Works great!
thanks pamela do you need a wireless printer to do that?
I use an app called "PrinterShare 5.5.1 Premium. It allows printing directly to your wifi capable printer. The catch is that it must be in their supported printer list, otherwise you can use it in conjunction with PrinterShare console for your laptop/desktop. You can print directly from your Nexus it just routes the command through the PC using its printer drivers through the wifi network. You can print pictures, web pages, calendar, contacts, messages, call log, gmail, google docs, documents all from your Nexus/android phone. It works.
send it to your gmail and use this http://mail.google.com/mail/help/paper/more.html lol i keed i keed.
Cloud Print app.

You just need to configure/set your cloud print parameters via Google Chrome browser, install the "Cloud Print" app in your Nexus and you're ready to go. Pretty straightforward, actually!
Printers
Any one confirm any usb printers or any luck with wireless ones? Thanks Sent from my infused machine
Anyone? Sent from my infused machine
i personally havent seen any "PRINT" button or any settings to confirm any support for printers.. but! you can download some apps, that will give you the option to send a file to printer, as i recall it.
Man that's lame just tried and your right no option or button to even print :-( lame. But I guess if you could send a doc or whatever to a printer that's fine but you have to have a networked printer which again sucks Sent from my A500 using XDA Premium App
I didn't know how much I missed printing from android since I couldn't do it. Yet Friday I updated my phone to the HTC EVO 3D from Sprint, and with android 2.3 on it I found Print options in email, the browser, the gallery, the contacts app, the calendar, and I'm sure it is there in a few more apps. Tapping on it the first time it went looking for wireless printers, and it found my Canon MP640. I selected it, and since then I've been able to send emails, email attachments, photos, contact sheets, calendar events, web pages, etc., to my printer over WiFi. They print out as if they had come from my PC. I can print one or all or any specific pages from a multi-page job. Franky I'm stunned at how well it works! Now why can't we do this from Honeycomb?

I use PrintShare. It prints over wifi to my canon wireless printer. Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk

I'm going to try Google cloud and print share I think was the app... Edit: just set up and can confirm working is Google cloud print. First have chromium installed on your computer and your printer setup and installed obviously follow Google cloud print setup then download cloud print beta from market sign in with your same Google account refresh so it finds your printer and print test page and in a few seconds your printer should be printing. You can use the share function and select cloud print to print almost anything. Enjoy Sent from my A500 using XDA Premium App
[Cool Feature!!!!] Google Cloud print - Must check out!
I just happened to stumble on this while checking out stuff in Google Chrome - and wow, what a discovery! Let me explain - 1. On your chrome browser on your desktop, head to settings -> scroll down fully and click on Show advanced settings 2. Look for Google Cloud print and then set it up! What you could do is, you could set up the Galaxy Note2 as a "Cloud printer". I guess you should have the Note2 syncing with the same google account and also have your chrome browser signed in to the google account. Here's what you could do once you've setup the Cloud printer - 1. You could hit Control+P anywhere on any website - and select the Note2 as the printer! 2. This would auto trigger a pdf download on your android device of the webpage
[q] mobile sites not working
When im inside the facebok application on my galaxy s 4, when I tap on an external link i.e. funnystuff24/7 it will navigate me to my internet browser then it will come up with an error message advising "please visit from your mobile phone! This page is made to work for mobile devices!". I AM USING MY MOBILE DEVICE I cannot fathom why this isnt working. Troubleshooting I have tried so far: - Deleting and Re-installing the application. - Changing the default browser settings for facebook in case it was a browser issue - tried requesting the desktop site wouldnt display. - cleared data and cache both from facebook and the browser am using - have used my friends samsung galaxy note 1st gen, logged her out of the mobile app for fbook and logged myself in tapped on the exact same link and it loaded just fine. so all these had no success, it is clearly and issue with my phone but I really cant think what. If you have any advice for me on this matter it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Google Cloud Printing and Chrome
I just got my new Nexus 7 2013, and I can't get Cloud printing to work from Chrome. It just says error when I look at the queue. No details. It will print using the Brother app, but not Chrome. Also it will print from my desktop using cloud print.
