[Q] Replaced LCD + Touch screen now getting weird responses - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I dropped my phone and completely destroyed the screen and also the touch input. Today I received my new Touch Screen and LCD (Whole package).
I replaced the screen and booted up the phone, the screen comes on fine but the touch input doesn't. It seems to work at random intervals of 5-20 seconds. Kinda like this: Touch screen doesn't work (anywhere on the screen) I keep pressing it with my finger and after 5 seconds it will pickup my touch input, I can now scroll true the home screens but as soon as I release my finger it won't register input anymore for 5-20 seconds. Some where in the 5-20 seconds it will register my touch input again but as soon as I release my finger it doesn't register anything for 5-20 seconds.
I'm afraid the motherboard or something else on the phone is broken or is there someone that had this same issues and found a easy fix?
EDIT:
Okay messed around with it this seems to happen.
The touch screen is just responding really really slow. I connected a bluetooth keyboard on the phone is blazing fast using the keyboard. How ever when I use the touch screen I have to hold my finger on (lets say) the browser and after 5 seconds I will register a touch input. The phone is kinda unusable now or I have to carry a keyboard everywhere I go. Does anyone know how this could have happened?

Trouble tapping screen!

Hello,
I've a trouble with my beloved Tytn:
when I tap near the center of the screen, usually the tap doesn't work properly, but it seems that I tap to the bottom left of the screen, and not to the center.
This trouble causes the tapping of the left softkey, and for example when I'm typing an sms, it send...
I've tried to adjust the screen alignment, many times, but it doesn't work.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks!
Does it happen constantly, or intermittently? I've noticed something similar on my 8525; When using the stylus, all of the presses are registered perfectly, but when using my fingers, the phone seems to have a hard time registering the press. Often times, when I'm using a touch keyboard, it will react as if I had pressed the "X" in the top right corner.
Like I said, it never does that with the stylus, just when I'm using my fingers. I think that the touch screen driver or whatever on this particular device has a hard time registering the presses from a larger-surfaced object like a thumb.
It happens some times, and only with use of fingers (and I have not hotdog-like fingers...).
I don't know how to solve this trouble, but it's difficult to work with that.
Oh, so it sounds like your issue is similar to mine. See, I think that the software that detects the on-screen presses is most likely calibrated for the stylus (hence why you use the stylus to align the screen when you first boot the OS). I think that it has difficulty detecting larger surface contact, which causes it to freak out and detect the press wrong.
This has bugged me for a while, too. It even happens when I'm using my thumb to hit the tabs on HTC Home; I'll hit a tab and the task manager from the upper right corner (I use O2 Plus 2.0) will drop down. Very annoying.
Anynody else have any ideas?

[Q] Touchscreen strange behavior, 1,5cm offset

Since two days I have strange behavior of my Blackstone touchscreen.
Just after start (or reboot) it works correctly but after few minutes when I hit for example start button it actually point about 1,5cm upper. So all touches has offset and hits not in the correct place like this:
Hit spot

Touched place
If I mange to go setup->screen->Align screen it's fine for a while and again after few minutes it's happen again.
ROM is Energy.BLACKSTONE.23149.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.Dec.01
Do anyone have the same issue?
It's more software or hardware problem?
At least yours still works... I also got problems with touch offset and decided to change the digitizer... but broke the lcd screen during the operation...
My device was acting just like yours: after screen alignment it worked for couple minutes then just went crazy... unfortunately, it's a hardware problem (problems between the first and the 2nd layer of the digitizer).
To align the screen more convenient just do this at any moment (with the phone switched on):
Press VOL UP and VOL DOWN simultaneously and while keeping them pressed, lightly touch the screen. This will surprisingly initiate the screen alignment procedure.
Hard reset?

[Q] HD2 touch screen sporadic

HD2 touch screen sometimes will not respond to touch. I have to touch the 'red phone' button several times before the screen will respond to touch. This problem comes and goes. Phone is about 2 years old, and this problem just started recently. Any idea how to eliminate this frustrating glitch?
i think it is a problem with a touch digitizer which is located below hangup (red) button. try pressing it harder. if it helps, find someone who will replace digitizer.

[Q] Touch screen has stopped responding

Today I placed the G2 down on my wireless charger and now the touchscreen has stopped responding. I can still use the power on-off to get to the screen to restart the device but I can't actually restart the device because I can't touch that option.
Has anyone else experienced this? How do I reset the device if I can't use the touchscreen?
Bizarreā€¦ In frustration I tapped multiple fingers on the screen and it started responding to touch input again.
That is strange... I wonder if there's a hard reset function on this phone of something like that happens? I know on the old droid razr you could hold down certain keys and it would reboot the phone (since it didn't have a removable battery either)

Touchscreen either stops responding or doesn't touch where I'm actually touching

So today I just started having this issue out of the blue. Sometimes the touchscreen and the capacitive buttons stop responding and most times when I touch a part of the screen it shows me as touching another part of it.
If I lock the phone then unlock with the power button, it'll be fine for a bit then happen again.
Is this issue known and is there a fix for it?
