It will be empty. Each major device "name" gets a thread, but variants of a device share it.
Take the Note 2 for example. It'll be a waste of time to create a thread for each variant.
Each network operator in countries like the States (AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and US Cellular), Canada, and the UK has its own Note 2 variant. Not to mention the stuff sold in Korea and Japan.

This is true.
But most devs do NOT have the LTE variant, so Dialer and calling-related mods can't be used.
But you can try other mods. Flash stock firmware if things get screwed up.

Hi, before I buy the mobile, I want to know are there any development of note 2 LTE of korean version E250? If yes, can you provide the link to me? Are the rom different to other version of note 2 LTE?
There's a small group of people providing ROMs on the Koxda forums.
http://koxda.com/forum-132-1.html
I'm not sure why XDA has not setup forums for us yet.
I hope development for the korean variants take place on here too. Waiting the delivery of my SHV-E250S now..
Hello,
This is a newbie question. Is it possible to convert Cricket Samsung Galaxy S4 SCH-R970C to a TMobile version of S4. I know Cricket uses CDMA and Tmobile uses GSM but someone told me that S4 is the same device and only software is different between carriers. Can someone let me know if this is even possible?
thanks

The guy at cricket told me they use a different type sim card so I don't know if it's possible

I believe it is safe to assume you may add t-mobile elements software wise but the radios are different the cricket version is CDMA and T-mobile runs off of GSM which is completely different technology, so compatibility is a no go its litterally two different devices at that point, may be able to flash to sprint or verizon that works with cdma but even that im not too sure with
Hope that helps

why don't you just decompile a Tmobile ROM and just take the system.img.ext4 and recompile it? I did that to a USCC stock ROM and flashed it over to my Sprint L720 and it works perfectly.

no bueno homie
you cannot use the T-mo version on CKT, or vice-versa
This is an old thread I know,.
Is there anymore information on this? I have read it can be done.
From cricket to t-mobile galaxy s4
cricket galaxy s4 schr970c
I would love to take this phone to a different carrier. I realize that the cdma is an issue but there had to be another carrier that I can switch to. Does any one know how I can switch carriers using this same phone?
Yeah, i have the same question as this. Would i risk bricking my phone if i tried loading a tmobile rom and modem to my cricket phone?
Bumping this older thread cuz I see no resolution and I have a similar question...
In my research I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2409392
-The OP flashed an i9505 rom onto his R970C cricket GS4, but apparently he found it doesn't alter the modem/radio firmware, and THAT is what is different in our Cricket phones.
However, I personally am looking NOT to use this phone on a GSM network (T-mobile)..but on a CDMA (ideally Page Plus/VZW)..for that it would seem the radio is the same! -And actually I found this quote on a different forum (cricket user one):
"Cricket Galaxy S4(SCH-r970c) uses MDM9615M RF chip which includes GSM functionality which is the same chip found on Verizon Galaxy S4(SCH-i545)
Anyone try flashing a VZW firmware and also VZW modem firmware? -risk to brick it I'm sure..but, then again..maybe it just works!

Aloha brother!
I haven't done that in a long time. If you are interested in it, let me know. It's a little bit more complicated to do especially with the bringing of Samsung Knox but I feel I can try my best to help. If you still need my help, reply to this and I'll offer as much help as I can. Making far balls is easy; but getting them to be applied with correct settings is a pain the the you know what.

I believe that USC is one of the carriers that lock their bootloaders. CDMA carriers are noteworthy for being very restrictive.
As a result you won't be able to use a custom ROM, kernel or recovery in a conventional fashion. You can probably use Safestrap to emulate a custom ROM. Look into the details of that. There should be a current Safestrap thread in the Verizon S5 forum. Verizon being another CDMA carrier that feels they need to lock their bootloaders.

Yes I am aware of that but the question that was originally asked was pertaining to a US Cellular (the cell carrier) Samsung S5 (KLTEUSC) not just simply a united states version of a cell phone. Plus I think if the opposite was true the the correct response should be to ask what carrier and/or model they had.

Most of us have no direct experience with Cricket because it's not a natiomal carrier. It's only an option for a limited number of US zip codes.
Looking at the specs, starting with the model number - SM-G900AZKZAIO strongly suggest that it's just a rebranded ATT 900A model. And sure enough the specs say that your phone uses all of the same frequency bands.
So the overwhelming chances are that it's ATT compatible in all significant aspects.

I would be very interested to know as well and thank you for starting this thread. Looking at the settings I see the USB TETHERING and WIFI TETHERING is completely missing from the settings altogether. Thats one main reason I want to root so I can actually use my data outside of the phone. Plus the boot animation is Cricket branded. So its not just a relabeled AT&T phone. The model number also ends in 900AZ not 900A like the AT&T version. The kernel is NE7 thought.

Hello,
I have the Note 4 910C that comes with the Exynos processor. I can't get the LTE icon to show up and I want to change my ROM to a European ROM like the UK ROM. I can't seem to find it for the Exynos version.
Can I install the Snapdragon Note 4 ROM on my Exynos ROM? Can anyone give me a link to stock European ROM that will show the LTE and work with the Exynos version?
Thank you!
Why would you ask such a silly question? Read all the stickies and all the roms 1st pages and ask yourself...

No mate u can't install Snapdragon rom in Exynos, it will brick your phone.
Someone can help you if you give details of your phone.
@jdomedia Thank you man. Unlike some other people who would rather type unusefull information instead of helping, you actually did help me. Hope more people like you are in this world.
@Ausboy 2011 if you don't have an answer, don't reply. Not all people know the same information or how to obtain them like you.
My guess is that either your phone doesn't support your carrier's LTE baseband, or your APN settings aren't set up correctly.
I wouldn't be able to help you since I live in the US, but if you tell us your carrier, then maybe someone can give you the proper APN settings and needed basebands.
And yeah, that reply was pretty rude. It's not like you were asking something that is all over the forum like how to root, or easily researchable like if the Note 4 comes with micro SD support. IMO, you were asking a legitimate N00b question (no offense).

I'm on EE - but my post was intended as information for the OP. I'm not having any problems and don't need any help. 4G is basically LTE, as far as I know that's just the way it's described here in the UK - in any case, I'm getting great speeds.
