yeap.. i have used it and it worked after i used JIG...
its not mine BTW.. i just shared...
Dude the day they released the new bootloader is the day we figured out how they were blocking the Jig reset and made the old bootloader available for download as a separate tarball and also started to package the firmwares with the old bootloader.
You're very late. All that person has done is nothing other than recreate my work. http://www.chainfire.eu/articles/103/_SGS2_KI_Samsung_removes_USB_host_support_patches_bootloaders/
So if I flash the tar with Odin my counter will be reset to 0, without the need of a Jig? Or else?

You need the jig. It's just the bootloader.

You've just reminded me... I need to reset mine after playing with ICS.
... now how do I do it again, do I need a PIT file in Odin, or is there a CWM package available?
... will this void my warranty? Is it an official release? Is it on Kies?
</sarcasm mode>

everything else comes naturely.
Is there a limit in the download counter? Would you advise me to get a jig sooner rather than later?

Although I don't want to be a let down, please keep in mind TrustZone is enabled on this phone which could be the reason steboot0/1 seem empty. Likewise Samsung can use TrustZone to store the number of custom downloads, so I really recommend using the system.img root+dd the recovery: because there is zero guarantee we'll be able to reset the count to zero in the future (bypassing TrustZone would be exceedingly hard. It's a secure hypervisor, with a small attack surface).

We have the option to overclock the CPU.
Are we be able to use Arm tables, maybe, from cpu to manage processors registers?

My phones binary count is at three, cause of mods of recovery.
Hope it might not loose its functionality, the warranty at this moment is lost.

There is always the possibility of a vulnerability in the bootloader that manages the TrustZone, however since we don't have that code and can't analyze it, there's very little chance one will be found. Direct eMMC access will be required. If someone has a JTAG box and been able to JTAG a S3 mini, please contact me.

If you ever need to reset the counter and return to stock, it's very easy. You have to use Triangle Away with the stock kernel for it to work. There's a huge tutorial on it here somewhere, do a search, you won't miss it.

Once you download Triangle Away, you will see it in the app and also will see a counter when it does the actual process from what I remember. Here are some guides I mentioned earlier.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2336392
The counter is just hidden now, if you go into settings and try to do a check for updates, they'll probably tell you it's a modified rom. If you ever need to send it in for warranty or whatever, you'll still have to revert to stock and get rid of the counter
This is the new bootloader. It has KNOX security features.
Triangle away isn't compatible with this bootloader at the moment.

My phone is SM-N9005, with 4.3 stock and the dreaded MJ7..
I understand that there still is no way to Root this device without flagging the [email protected]@# KNOX and void any warranty..
I'm going to wait a couple of days for a possibility to root my beloved Note3, without triggering KNOX and then I don't think I kan live without Titanium, Exposed and Tasker++... :fingers-crossed:
I'm wondering if someone can explain to me; (I'm a noob and I know it) is the information Knox 0x1 stored in flash memory (NAND)?
And if so, and i had to deliver my phone for service some time in the future.. Would it be possible to make Nand corrupt beyond recognition and then get warranty back?
If they can't see anything wrong, they can't claim that I have been rooted..
Or should I just try too brag them with some baked goods and hope for the best?
I really hate that Samsung have done this with an "open" OS, and if there's no good work around in the future, This will be my last Samsung device!
Btw: This is my first post here on XDA, and sorry for my "English"

Apparently people have done this when they can't boot and have rooted OS. Don't know if it works as I haven't needed to try, anytime I had a warranty claim the problem actually fried the MB by itself.... No help needed...

I thank you for the comment, but i do need an first hand experience before I fry my note..
Don't know why, but I'd be more comfortable with a full whipe of NAND, if that's the place KNOX is stored..

KNOX is stored everywhere, - No one knows for sure where the counter 0x0/0x1 is located, hence no one being able to reset it. It is possible it's in NAND, but then again, it might be somewhere totally different.

In all honesty I doubt a few days will make any difference, there isn't even anyone working on rooting without tripping KNOX, especially now DG and CF have given up and said it can't be done due to the bootloader...

Any thoughts about the NAND?
If that is corupted, wouldn't it be difficult or impossible to read the internal SD?

hello all ,,,
i really wanna ask you for the best advise
should i root my note 4 ?
what would i lose if i did ?
what are the best things i gain ?
does it make the devise slower ?
or does it mess up with the battery ?
and thank you very much
After reading your questions, the answer for you is NO.
Rooting is great and opens up a eorkd of oppertunities and can make ur software much smoother. But in YOUR case, dont do it cuz it dont seem like u will benefit from it
Yeah, the benefits are endless and has few if any downsides. One of these few things could be warranty issues, but that's mostly theoretical I think depending on which brand.
My only consern towards you is that it seems you actually do not know what rooting actally is at all, due to your line of questioning.
Rooting does not do anything more to your phone than providing plain admin access like you got with a pc. Nothing else whatsoever, besides getting you cut off from installing/using many usefull apps which only accepts non root/jailbraked phones due to security/copyright issues.
The upside of rooting and the admin access/control is that it opens up for installing apps which can tune your phone and it's framework to better performance and endless ways of customizations.
Before you even think of getting in to this, READ UP on the matter. It seems like you think rooting in itself is some kind of magic wondercure that makes your phone into a superdevice. And if you have to ask this questions at all, better keep off untill some learning is done. If you do these proceedures wrong, your phone easily dies.

thank you guys ,
but what i meant there is some feature that could be lost , like ( deeb sleep ) witch save the battery life while the phone is on stand by

and thank you guys , i have a good back ground about how i can do it , but i should have to ask like a noob to get an answer ^_^
By rooting, You'll trip the "knox counter" in the bootloader to read 0x1 (=customized). The permanent result of this is that the Knox partition will not function ever again. This is because Samsung can/will not guarantee the knox security system anymore beeing intact on a customized phone and the phone shuts the knox down automaticly when Knox counter is triped.
Besides that, rooting does nothing to the system other than provide administrator priveligies.
can u please let me see your battery life pattern ?

There is no 'best' it is down to personal preference and how your device behaves. You need to try a variety of them until you find one you like.
that is why i said please recommend me one , maybe i don't have time to test them all :$

Once you root... You never go back

Guys, do you think we will be able to root WITHOUT tripping Knox??
I stopped rooting my phones. Not sure if the people who root fully realize what rooting does to they phones.
There is a reason why banking apps and many others do not work on a rooted phones..
Any app with su access can read/write the private data (and in memory) of any other app. It is ridiculous..
You basically relay on supersu (or similar) to protect you. Can you trust it 100%? What if it crash?
