try to go to download mode.i think when your device has a problem like this it put it self to fastboot mode.if it stuck in fastboot you can flash download partition using
Code:
fastboot flash laf laf.img

I tried that. Pc doesn't detect my phone. It says waiting for device.
I gave it to warranty anyway. Let's see what they will do.
Thanks for the reply.

Hold the power button until you get a black screen. Download LG Mobile Support tool and the LG Drivers. Plug USB In and then hold the Power + Volume Up key. On your screen, click Upgrade Recovery. From there, you can do a factory reset through download mode of your phone.

In case you did the latest firmware ota upd, there is a topic that can solve you problem as long as you can access TWRP(even if you didnt do the ota it will,i tried that myself) Here is what you need to do.
use TWRP's "terminal command" option to run the following:
Code:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
You'll have to type that whole thing out, and be VERY careful with spaces and punctuation. One wrong letter and you could nuke your phone.
This will probably fix you problem when it has to do with any update.
Thanks for the responses. I finally fixed it.. I started the procedure from scratch with a new laptop and somehow it worked lol

It happened to me and now phone hanged in download mode and can not connect to pc. Did you have a solution?
Solve
Guys! I had the exact same problem today. My solution was to keep pressing the "try again" button every time the error appeared on my computer screen. It took some time but the error was appearing at different levels each time in this order : 45% 57% 65% 80% and next the instalation was completed. If it doesn't work try switching to another computer if you can. After the firmware update hits 100% your phone will restart and the LG logo will appear(the led changes its color during this process). At this point you have to just wait a while. Then a dialog box will appear saying that the applications on your phone are configuring themselves. After that your phone will start and work normaly. The cause of the error is the lack of memory on your phone. If those idiots working for LG would say "YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH STORING SPACE" this stuff would not happen.
The phone is not rooted!(IMPORTANT)
Phone name: LG G2
Phone model: D802
Old software: 4.4.2 (KitKat)
Actual software: 5.0.2 (Lollipop)
I hope this hellped you solving the problem.

My LG x power died and I went to plug it in and a screen popped up saying,"Firmwire Update 0%", so I kept it plugged in for the next half an hour, and it still said 0%. I've tried resetting it and powering it off but nothing seems to be working. What do I do?

Download lg flash tool.
Download lg g2 stock firmware.
Press volume up button and insert usb cable. You will see download mode.
Open lg flash tool and flash the kdz( original firmware) through flash tool.select cse flash.
My LG V20 got stuck on the Firmware Update screen. It appears every time I restart the phone and I have to take the battery out. If I start the phone plugged in it starts normally. I was able to do a factory reset, the phone started normally a few times without being plugged in, now it's back to the Firmware screen. I can use the phone but need to restart when it's plugged in. I hope Oreo Update will fix it. I don't know much about updates, but do big updates like that reinstall the drivers as well?
Hello everyone I also have this kind of experience so many times in my g2 mini.stuck on Firmware update. What I’m doing is,
1. remove the battery to turn it off. Plug your charger and before plugging it to your phone hold the volume down and plug in until tou see the android is updating; or
2. Just simply hold the powerbutton + volume down until you see Android is updating.
I would love to see your feedback if it helps.

[Q] Stuck on Bootscreen after flashing CWM (D802, 6.0.4.7)!

Hi there!
So I rooted my LG G2 (D802, 4.4.2, Stock, used ioroot) yesterday.
I intend(ed) to flash the Optimus G3 Rom, in the start post they recommended to flash cmw/twrp via "Simple Tool 3.2" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2633941). After doing so (I used the automated version, not the manual one) I got STUCK ON THE BOOTSCREEN. There is a notification popping up for a few seconds in the left upper corner which lists several errors occurring:
BOOT CERTIFICATION VERIFY
SECURE BOOTING ERROR;
CAUSE: BOOTCERTIFICATION VERIFY
along with the following numbers listed from top to bottom: 710, 760, 810, 860, 910, 960 (I just noticed, the numbers can vary, but always follow the same pattern...)
after this message, the screen fades to black, I think it it is still running though, since it takes more than 10 seconds to reboot the phone by pressing the power button. I still have access to the button down/power button combo which leads to a factory reset setting, but it doesnt do anything for me since I still get stuck at the lg boot screen.
I
Atm I dont what to do! Enter download mode and flash something? I'm seriously kind lost here. So, thank you for your help!
Cheers

Thanks a ton!! Finally I can put a name on the problem (bricking...)- Ironically I never mangaged to get there in 3years of samsung flashing but got there within 15mins of flashing on the LG G2. I guess it's true what they say about samsung devices, as hard to brick as a brick...
I'll report back if it worked...
Weeell, as it turns out my phone isn't recognized by my pc (Win 7) anymore...I literally can't do anything. Any hints?
I can use the Tool, but it's always trying to connect to my phone without success. But when I connect my phone to the computer it opens a dropbox window (import photos) and several windows partitions, which it tells me to format...

Stuck on LG Logo (Stock recovery, No DL Mode)

Hi all
First of all sorry for asking this question but after search for hours I have come across no answers.
My device wont boot, it gets stuck on the LG logo. I also cant seem to boot in Download mode to restore back to stock. The device in a G2 International and is unlocked. I have installed PC drivers etc but will not work. I turn off device completely, even tried disconnecting battery on mother board, and pressed up to boot in DL mode but it will not work just boot into LG logo again. Now i CAN get in the restore hard reset screen by pressing power and V down but it stays on the device restore screen after I have pressed power button a couple of times. Also PC will now see device when in this mode either.
Any help or pointing in the right direction would be a lot of help.

You didn't specify if you were using a Windows PC, or a Linux OS. A Linux operating system could see the device even when Windows doesn't. Using Linux and the ADB toolkit - I would push a custom recovery to the device and then reboot into the new recovery. After that it should be easy to mount the device and install a new ROM.
Ah! Reading again, I see "installed drivers", so you must be using Windows. Try using Linux.
Thanks, so I tired the unbrick method of short circuiting the mother board and then using linux to see the partions push aboot, boot and laf img this allowed me to boot into download mode and then using flash tool to flash a UK based 4.2.2 ROM the device is now working perfectly. Thanks for you help. MOD you can close this thread now.
Link for method I used here.

[Q] LG G2 D800 - Gone Progressively worse.. Looks like completely bricked

Hi,
I have a LG G2 D800 (ATT Black version) which I was running with cm 11 for a long time.. Last week I got curious and tried to install CM12 on it and that's where started my nightmare.
To begin with, I think I flashed the wrong twrp version (d802) instead of d800.. So I was stuck for a while.. I finally was able to recover from that and Installed CM12. The install went ok, but the phone would freeze and turn off.. It wouldn't turn back on unless I did a soft reset.. I tried a few times and then gave up.. With the nandroid backup that I had, I went back to cm11, but the problem started to follow me in CM11 as well.. The phone was constantly rebooting.. Sometimes the phone would stay on for 2-3 hours and sometimes it wouldn't stay on for 2 minutes.. So I got frustrated and went thru' different threads and finally went back to Stock Rom using the LGFlashtool method.. In stock rom, the phone booted up fine, but the rebooting issue started happening there as well.. The phone was definitely much stable under stock rom than CM11/CM12 but it won't still power off all of a sudden and I could go a couple of hours before noticing that it had turned off.. Frustrated with it, I started all over again to root and install twrp and that's when it went from Bad to worse.. Something happened with my TWRP flash and I was not able to go to recovery or download... I was stuck...
I tried several methods. 1 ) Using ubuntu was my first try.. I followed the initial steps (ls devices and gdisk -l command) and after I ran the first step (dd if=/home/med/Desktop/sbl1.img of=/dev/sdb2), my phone went into fastboot mode and ubuntu couldn't recognize my device. after that.. I couldn't run the remaining commands..
2) since I was stuck in fastboot, I followed the fastboot method from another thread by downloading the fastboot and laf.img.... The phone was responding and said recovery erased successfully, but it kept going back to fastboot.. When I tried a different laf.img file, that's when the phone rebooted and now wouldn't turn on at all..
No LG image, no recovery, no response.. I've tried all button combinations (holding vol down and power, power alone, all 3 buttons, vol+ and power)... nothing happens with the phone... Windows doesn't recognize the phone.. It says 'lg g2 qhsusb_bulk' but that's pretty much it..
Atleast until today morning I had a LG image flashing that tells me that the issue is a software / partition issue.. Now I don't know if I have fried something..
I bought the fone in november 2013 and hence its out of warranty.. . I'm not eligible for upgrade till November and I'm stuck with using a iphone 4s (ouch...) until then... It sucks big time to go from the g2 to the 4s... any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks. I looked into that thread before. Unfortunately in my case the phone is not recognized in adb or fastboot. Adb shows no device listed whereas fastboot says waiting for device.
Lg flashtool doesnt do anything either.
Only thing is that fone was showing up as unknown device and by me pressing vol up and power and vol down, it shows up as qhusb bulk..

Go to the Device Manager => device properties of the "unknown device" => Details => Hardware ID and search the value on the internet for a driver... Maybe with a driver you can get the phone to be recognized
Folks,
I finally was able to get my G2 working from a hard brick..
My final non working symptom : Blank Screen.. No download.. No recovery.. No LG logo… Windows was showing device as unknown device sometimes and sometimes as qhusb_bulk.
Steps that I followed: You need to know how to use fastboot.
1) Kept trying different combinations of the 3 buttons (power, vol + and Vol -). The one that worked for me was to unplug the phone from pc… Press all 3 buttons together for 15-20 seconds and will keys pressed, plug into the PC.
2) This put me in the fastboot mode.. Here I tried flash laf.img with several laf files. My phone was a lg g2 d800 (ATT variant). Nothing really worked..
3) So I downloaded the Stock Rom files (aboot, boot, dbi, laf, misc, modem, persist, recovery, rpm, sbl1, and tz images) from http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2). I flashed all these files using Fastboot and then after flashing, rebooted the phone.
4) The phone automatically went into AT&T update and at 3% failed with an error and booted into safe mode. (This is probably because when it got bricked, I accepted a OTA update on a rooted phone and I didn’t have twrp recovery either).
5) I came out of safe mode and booted normally and voila, I got the stock rom 4.2.2 on my phone.

Happy to see you solved.
All,
Even though I resolved my bricked G2, it is still giving me issues by turning off automically after a while... It looks like a hardware failure to me where it ceases to operate at times.. The phone has stayed on sometimes for an entire day and sometimes it goes off in 5 minutes.. I'm sending it to LG repair service.. Hopefully they fix it for me under warranty (even though it has been 13 months since i bought it)..

D800 Boot Certification verify

i have an LG G2 D800, sometimes when i plug it to charger it turns on for a few seconds and shows the boot certification verify error along with the LG logo, then the screen goes black and cant do anything, pc doesnt recognize it.
i tried going into download mode (hold vol+ when connecting to pc) but nothing happens, sometimes it just turns on but show again that Boot Certification verify error and then the same black screen... Pc doesnt recognize anything (not even that qhsusb_bulk in device manager)...
what can i do?

I know exactly what you are talking about hmm...
I was gonna suggest if you can get in recovery you could flash another rom and the problem would be solved, but its different in your case. You said your computer doesn't recognize your phone as well? I would assume you have the proper drivers for your device.
If you are able to get into download mode I suggest you use this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 to get back to stock..
I am not sure why you aren't able to get into recovery, but that's my suggestion. What did you do prior to this error popping up?
If all else fails then I would contact LG and try to convince them to send in your phone for repair, just a thought.
I've done a motherboard replacement on my G2 and in that case it was totally hard bricked. It is not a motherboard error so you would not need to go there.

go into download mode and use TOT or KDZ and flashtools. good luck
you said AT&T d800? i used this.

Okay, heres the thing
I was able to short motherboard and got 9008 mode, used the BoarDiag method and it installed everything. But now, everytime i try to boot into download mode, phone does get into download mode but shuts off after few seconds.. So i cant install ROM from LG Flashtool, what now?
edit: now everytime i disconnect battery, connect it again, and connect it to pc or wall charger, it stays for a moment at LG logo and turns off, but cant seem to get to download mode... tried disconnecting batt and connecting again, then hold vol+ while connecting usb and it stays again awhile in LG logo, but no download mode, it just turns off again...
edit 2: Well, now it doesnt show Download mode for a few seconds... if i keep pressed power button for aroun 30/35secs and connect it to pc, it just shows LG logo for like 10 seconds and turns off, nothing else, not even doing the power button thing and keep vol+ when connecting...
okay, heres the thing now:
i used BoarDiag with d802 files and could get to download mode to flash d802 firmware TOT. it boots to lg logo and shuts down after few seconds.. then i tried the same with d800 TOT, and it does the same...
with d800 TOT sometimes it flashes an android green logo with some loading lines under it for like 3seconds and shuts down
