[Q] Stuck on Bootscreen after flashing CWM (D802, 6.0.4.7)! - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there!
So I rooted my LG G2 (D802, 4.4.2, Stock, used ioroot) yesterday.
I intend(ed) to flash the Optimus G3 Rom, in the start post they recommended to flash cmw/twrp via "Simple Tool 3.2" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2633941). After doing so (I used the automated version, not the manual one) I got STUCK ON THE BOOTSCREEN. There is a notification popping up for a few seconds in the left upper corner which lists several errors occurring:
BOOT CERTIFICATION VERIFY
SECURE BOOTING ERROR;
CAUSE: BOOTCERTIFICATION VERIFY
along with the following numbers listed from top to bottom: 710, 760, 810, 860, 910, 960 (I just noticed, the numbers can vary, but always follow the same pattern...)
after this message, the screen fades to black, I think it it is still running though, since it takes more than 10 seconds to reboot the phone by pressing the power button. I still have access to the button down/power button combo which leads to a factory reset setting, but it doesnt do anything for me since I still get stuck at the lg boot screen.
I
Atm I dont what to do! Enter download mode and flash something? I'm seriously kind lost here. So, thank you for your help!
Cheers

You flashed a custom recovery version thad doesin't match you phone ( example you flashed D801 recovery on D802 phone )
Just search in Q/A and you find the solution to fix it. Be calm , if you phone is booting - you can fix it
If you are lazy , i searched it for you. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2694530

Thanks a ton!! Finally I can put a name on the problem (bricking...)- Ironically I never mangaged to get there in 3years of samsung flashing but got there within 15mins of flashing on the LG G2. I guess it's true what they say about samsung devices, as hard to brick as a brick...
I'll report back if it worked...

Weeell, as it turns out my phone isn't recognized by my pc (Win 7) anymore...I literally can't do anything. Any hints?
I can use the Tool, but it's always trying to connect to my phone without success. But when I connect my phone to the computer it opens a dropbox window (import photos) and several windows partitions, which it tells me to format...

Try reflash the phone using the unrooting method mentioned in
thread (LG Optimus L7 Dual P715 (Rooting,Unrooting,Flashing) search for it if you cant find it.
Just download your stock KDZ file via the link in that thread.
Download the software in that thread.
then:
0.Restart phone in emergency mode= hold the volume "down" and insert the USB cable(When phone is off)(Will Have Yellow Screen)
Install msxml
1.LG Drivers MUST be installed.
2.Plug The Phone in Emergency Mode.
3.Open KDZ_FW_UPD.exe
4.In Type Select 3GQCT , In Phone Mode Select EMERGENCY
5.Select the Stock Firmware KDZ and launch update.(Download LINK Given Above)
Did you solve your problem?? I am having a similar problem. I cant see LG logo. All i get is a blue screen which fades away. KDZ program gives an update error.Pls help..

L7 HardBricked + bricked sd?

Hello there!
I have already used the search function, but I wasn't able to find my exact problem in any other post.
Yesterday I flashed the rom Carbon (4.4.2 maded by coderzs) on my p705, and today It appeared with the LG logo a little buggy, then I take out the battery and it never turns on again (no matter what key combination I used) and another surprise is that my 32gb micro sd was corrupted too, I can't even format it with HP disk storage format tool, neither I can use Recuva to get the files.
Plus, when I connect the phone to USB withouth battery it gets really hot.
Do anyone have an Idea of what to do? Actually I'm more concerned in recovering the SD card info or at least use it again in the future.
Thanks in advance.
New Info:
Now I can make it boot LG logo sometimes, but it still buggy and there is no key method to enter bootload emergency is working. =S
try this

1 try putting it in a blackberry while its on (old bb are the best) and it will prompt its corrupted say yes to format and then try plugging into recuva (worked for me numerous times)
2 did you try vol+ and vol- and power hold and release power after vibration and then use KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.7z
try link2sd it does same but on a different level

I will have to try to put the sd in another phone, but I don't know anyone with bb =S
Also, the only way to make the phone "boot" is holding vol+ (and any other key) and then it vibrates and sow a buggy LG logo, then it continously restart over and over again showing different buggy logos (LG ones).
THanks for the reply.
Other than trying kdz flash you can use LG official update tool to do an emergency update. You will in that process need to enter both imei&serial. Basically this also flash kdz but in addition it check and repair your partitions.
Hope it might help you
I will try that last advice, thanks
The SD card seems dead =S
It is recognized by the computer and devices, it shows 1gb instead of 32 and it needs to be formated, but no program let me do it.
I already have this problem with my girlfriend's phone last week-end and solve it!
I use a modified stock rom (root + cwm in KDZ) avaiable here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2214717. ROM KDZ V20A_00 ROOT
Put the phone in emergency mode (power off the phone, plug it on usb to your pc, wait for the battery logo then press vol+ and power)
Start KDZ updater then flash the rom. After install, start cwm (vol+ vol- power home at same time) and do a wipe data factory reset and wipe dalvik and cache.
Reboot and it work! :victory:
Yes, I already did it too in the past, I bricked my phone twice, but this time is a hard brick, and wont let me get to emergency mode (there is no way, really I test it). It seems that I can't make it boot =S
Maybe all this is because I was using ART instead of davlink, and something may explode inside the phone.
Thanks anyway for the reply, I'l keep searching for some solution (the SD have more chances to keep alive I guess)
hmmm

does your phone come-up with blank (black but backlit) screen ?
if it does then you will be able to use kdz updater in attachment LG-RDTT_1.0.5.4 (needs included windows enabler for this version)
use THIS GUIDE to flash just skip the hosts file editing steps
and let us know
Okey, I'll try it in a moment
well, it didn't work =S
Computer don't recognize the phone, I tried with ubuntu, 3 windows and 2 mac.
When you say buggy logo do you mean there is visual distortion to screen?
if so it most likely will be hw damage
you got ubuntu can you see it in adb ?
Push/pull ?

No, and I'm not able to mount it neither.
The logo is as you say, but it reboots constantly and make some little color bars blur the image, then restart again and make some other kind of buggy image :x all with LG logo.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I finally choose to go for LG service, I'm going to call them tomorrow.
Thanks for the help and trying to solve my problem, I guess they will make my phone boot, but my SD will never come back, or that is what is seems =(
It keeps saying that it is read only, and that's why I can format it.

[Q] Hard bricked G2 after flash

Hi everyone
I may have bricked my G2. I use to have a Samsung Galaxy S which I flashed many times so I kinda know when I mess up with instructions. This time though, things look a bit more serious... Anyway, here is what happened:
I flashed the Cloudy G3 rom (1.0) for my G2 D802 32gb. Original rom was stock rooted 4.4.
I followed the instructions :
- Backup rom
- All wipes
- Flash kitkat baseband
- Flash rom zip
- Get through the aroma installer steps
But then, when it asked to reboot, the phone just shut down.
Now it won't turn on. All I have is a quick look at the LG boot logo, and then the screen goes all black (blacklit is still on) again.
All I managed to do so far is maintaining the LG boot logo a bit longer on screen by alternatively pressing volume + or - at random times.
I can't access recovery or download mode anymore.
Plugging the phone will only show the LG boot logo and do all the same.
The phone is no longer recognized by my computer.
When I plug it, I get 13 new windows asking me to format the device and one I can explore.
Inside, there is one folder named "Image", filled with 51,4 Mb of files...
Quite confusing.
I don't know what to do, so any help to get the phone back to work will be appreciated
Thank you in advance.

I found this thread but haven't tried yet. Don't know if the problem is similar.
I really hope the phone isn't dead, it's almost brand new
This is exactly what I have . The main problem is we can not see phone partitions. Always the alarm "can not access " or "format" !Waiting for some body to help restaure our LG G2.

Are you still under warranty. If you can't get into download mode that means that LG won't be able to either. You could process a return directly from LG.
Problem solved ...
Somehow I did manage to hard reset (vol - & power, wait for LG logo, release and then press vol - & power again) and then access recovery mode, so I did restore my backup (which had been renamed to ... 1970-05-01 ! lol) and my G2 is now back to life.
Weirdest thing ever... Kinda worried about flashing it again now !
Thing to remember : always have a backup file.
You are lucky man! I've done it but nothing after. I can access to hard reset but when I push power button the screen goes black as before ....
Is it actually in "Download Mode"?

So, if my G2 shows "Download Mode" on the screen with the little white dots, but it's not recognized by Windows 7, Ubuntu, or Knoppix, and is for all intents and purposes, non-responsive, does anyone know if it's actually in "Download Mode"?

[Q] LG G2 D800 - Gone Progressively worse.. Looks like completely bricked

Hi,
I have a LG G2 D800 (ATT Black version) which I was running with cm 11 for a long time.. Last week I got curious and tried to install CM12 on it and that's where started my nightmare.
To begin with, I think I flashed the wrong twrp version (d802) instead of d800.. So I was stuck for a while.. I finally was able to recover from that and Installed CM12. The install went ok, but the phone would freeze and turn off.. It wouldn't turn back on unless I did a soft reset.. I tried a few times and then gave up.. With the nandroid backup that I had, I went back to cm11, but the problem started to follow me in CM11 as well.. The phone was constantly rebooting.. Sometimes the phone would stay on for 2-3 hours and sometimes it wouldn't stay on for 2 minutes.. So I got frustrated and went thru' different threads and finally went back to Stock Rom using the LGFlashtool method.. In stock rom, the phone booted up fine, but the rebooting issue started happening there as well.. The phone was definitely much stable under stock rom than CM11/CM12 but it won't still power off all of a sudden and I could go a couple of hours before noticing that it had turned off.. Frustrated with it, I started all over again to root and install twrp and that's when it went from Bad to worse.. Something happened with my TWRP flash and I was not able to go to recovery or download... I was stuck...
I tried several methods. 1 ) Using ubuntu was my first try.. I followed the initial steps (ls devices and gdisk -l command) and after I ran the first step (dd if=/home/med/Desktop/sbl1.img of=/dev/sdb2), my phone went into fastboot mode and ubuntu couldn't recognize my device. after that.. I couldn't run the remaining commands..
2) since I was stuck in fastboot, I followed the fastboot method from another thread by downloading the fastboot and laf.img.... The phone was responding and said recovery erased successfully, but it kept going back to fastboot.. When I tried a different laf.img file, that's when the phone rebooted and now wouldn't turn on at all..
No LG image, no recovery, no response.. I've tried all button combinations (holding vol down and power, power alone, all 3 buttons, vol+ and power)... nothing happens with the phone... Windows doesn't recognize the phone.. It says 'lg g2 qhsusb_bulk' but that's pretty much it..
Atleast until today morning I had a LG image flashing that tells me that the issue is a software / partition issue.. Now I don't know if I have fried something..
I bought the fone in november 2013 and hence its out of warranty.. . I'm not eligible for upgrade till November and I'm stuck with using a iphone 4s (ouch...) until then... It sucks big time to go from the g2 to the 4s... any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks. I looked into that thread before. Unfortunately in my case the phone is not recognized in adb or fastboot. Adb shows no device listed whereas fastboot says waiting for device.
Lg flashtool doesnt do anything either.
Only thing is that fone was showing up as unknown device and by me pressing vol up and power and vol down, it shows up as qhusb bulk..

Folks,
I finally was able to get my G2 working from a hard brick..
My final non working symptom : Blank Screen.. No download.. No recovery.. No LG logo… Windows was showing device as unknown device sometimes and sometimes as qhusb_bulk.
Steps that I followed: You need to know how to use fastboot.
1) Kept trying different combinations of the 3 buttons (power, vol + and Vol -). The one that worked for me was to unplug the phone from pc… Press all 3 buttons together for 15-20 seconds and will keys pressed, plug into the PC.
2) This put me in the fastboot mode.. Here I tried flash laf.img with several laf files. My phone was a lg g2 d800 (ATT variant). Nothing really worked..
3) So I downloaded the Stock Rom files (aboot, boot, dbi, laf, misc, modem, persist, recovery, rpm, sbl1, and tz images) from http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2). I flashed all these files using Fastboot and then after flashing, rebooted the phone.
4) The phone automatically went into AT&T update and at 3% failed with an error and booted into safe mode. (This is probably because when it got bricked, I accepted a OTA update on a rooted phone and I didn’t have twrp recovery either).
5) I came out of safe mode and booted normally and voila, I got the stock rom 4.2.2 on my phone.
Thanks so much to the various threads in XDA developers that I was able to fix this.. Much thanks to etm34 for this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2681089

Happy to see you solved.
All,
Even though I resolved my bricked G2, it is still giving me issues by turning off automically after a while... It looks like a hardware failure to me where it ceases to operate at times.. The phone has stayed on sometimes for an entire day and sometimes it goes off in 5 minutes.. I'm sending it to LG repair service.. Hopefully they fix it for me under warranty (even though it has been 13 months since i bought it)..

[Q] LG d802 recovery hell

Hi All,
I hoping some kind soul will guide/lend a helping hand here?
Here's my problem, I own an LG G2 d802, running kk4.2.2, rooted via towelroot.
Today I decided to for the first time to delve into the world of custom ROM's and what a mistake it was
Basically I downloaded TWRP for d802(img), gapps(d802 version), and cm Resurrection Remix and then I made the fatal mistake of using Flashify to flash TWRP to my phone and rebooting. After doing this I can no longer enter download mode, recovery mode, and when I try to go to either I get the ERROR: boot certification verify: secure booting error.
When I i plug my phone into my computer (drivers & LG support tool installed) my computer recognizes my device, however it displays around 10 or so removable drives i.e f, g, r etc and lots of messages appear saying i need to format them before they can be used and Support tool doesn't recognize my phone as being connected at all
I have searched lots of threads and now realize that Instead of using Flashify I should have used Autorec(lesson learned), I have also searched for possible solutions and the only
one which looks remotely viable is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
My only problem is I have LG G2 d802 32gb model and the files in the above guide/solution are for the LG G2 d802 16gb 10a and even then if they was the correct files I think i would still have a very hard time following/using the files to make my phone live again and also have no knowledge/exp with Linux distro's.
I am a total noob/idiot and don't have a clue how I am going to fix my phone and have pretty much pulled out whats left of my hair in despair!!
Please help me.
Kindest regards, Dark.

I am literally going insane now is there no one here that can even be so kind to say if the above is even the correct way for me to go? or point out a way which may be better or a step by step/link to things I need?
I really don't have the exp/confidence or knowledge to be bale to know if its correct or not and really don't want to make things worse by trying something that may not be right
Can find threads and websites which have similar type situation but all seem to have slightly different to my own as most can seem to have download mode or still be able to boot their OS but i cant do either.
is this below method any use for my situation?

You say in your original post you're running KK 4.2.2. 4.2.2 is Jellybean not KitKat, so which one are you running exactly?
If you didn't use AutoRec your bootloader should still be a Kitkat Bootloader since AutoRec's job is to downgrade your Bootloader to Jellybean.
There are 2 ways to access Recovery Mode on a G2 depending on the current Bootloader.
Method 1 (Jellybean Bootloader)
Turn G2 Off. Hold PWR + VOL DWN, when LG Logo appears let go and hold PWR + VOL DWN.
Method 2 (KitKat Bootloader)
Turn G2 Off. How PWR + VOL DWN, when LG Logo appears, let go and hold VOL UP + VOL DWN.
Do either of those work?

Well since you can't access Recovery Mode, you can't access Download Mode and your receiving a Boot Error, It sounds like your only option here is to follow this tutorial.
As for the files you need, you have a 32GB D802. Download this .7z package and extract it. You'll find all the .img files you need. Now follow the tutorial .

No worries hope everything goes well If you're unsure if any commands just send me a message or post here.
Note: It's nice to hit the "thanks" button under my posts if you are thankful Saying thanks without clicking the thanks button is like a slap in the face .

Quick update just before i commenced with the tutorial , i once again tried the key sequence for Download mode and recovery mode and to my surprise got a different result to yesterday!
I now can do factory reset which wouldn't let me do yesterday , have started it but now worried as its been the little green android man with blue spinning cogs in his chest for about for 15 minutes now and fear i may have made things worse
