Hi,
I'm using cm11 of 28/7.
I toggled "expanded desktop" from the power menu, and after disabling it, my desktop active area shrink! (see attachment)
I just can't put any icon on the top line (which i could before), and also i think the little dots which show the current desktop screen are not at their original position (maybe they where at the bottom? can't remember).
I tried "clear data" of Trebucht, but no success..
Dror
edit:
ok, top line problem was because "search bar" was "on"
but bottom line problem is still there, I think there is too much space between the dock line and the desktop
?

I am left handed and wonder if there is a way to have the scroll bar in WM5 on the left hand side instead of the right (using laptop mode)
fyi: There is an thread already open about essentially this same topic:

I don't think there has been a solution yet.
Hi ,
where can i find a soft or something... to help me on my diamond, to close all runing aplications who runs on background.
I`m Not looking for a task manager.. just if exist something simple..with a click to close all aplications...
Two options using the HTC Task Manager (should come with the standard ROM):
1) When you're at the Today Screen (ie TouchFlo), where the "X" or "Ok" button usually is (Top-right hand corner), there is a icon that looks like 3 horizontal bars with a little triangle. Tap this icon, then tap the "X" icon that appears just below (and slightly to the left) of it.
2) Start->Settings->Systems->Task Manager, then press "Stop All"
Alternatively, just soft-reset the device
If that doesn't satisfy you, then keep an eye on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=446928
Is there a way in which I can keep the screen locked while a BlueTooth ear set is being used in order to keep the active screen from opening other programs and calling others while in my pocket?
I believe if you hit the settings menue at the bottom left corner it says "LOCK SCREEN"
I'm failing to find "lockscreen"
clicking the "menu" button under the settings tab only brings up "all settings"
Is there another way to find lockscreen or did you, by chance, leave out a few steps?
Rudy.
Hi all,
I am using Taboonay v1.1 ROM on my Acer Iconia A500. And when I went to some websites,I found they were always in mobile mode. I think it's about the Browser's UserAgent.I have ever seen
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=652984
and I have ever rework the file:
/data/data/com.android.browser/shared_prefs/com.android.browser_preferences.xml
but I think it doesn't work. (Maybe I did the above-mentioned step in wrong way)
Can you help me?
And I want to use HTML5 to watch videos. Can I use the Browser with the ROM to do this? Should I change my UserAgent to "IPad"?
P.S.: I'm a Chinese student. Maybe my English has some mistakes. Please accept my apology for the inconvenience this matter have give you.
1. Open the Android Honeycomb browser on your tablet.
2. In the address bar, type: about:debug and press enter.
3. Now open the browser's settings by tapping the icon in the very top-right corner of your screen (it looks like four horizontal lines) and selecting "Settings" from the drop-down menu that appears.
4. On the left side of the screen, tap the section labeled "Debug."
5. On the right side of the screen, tap the item labeled "UAString," then select "Desktop."
6. Press the back button (in the very bottom-left corner of your screen) to exit the browser's settings.
7. In the browser's address bar, type: about:debug once more; this will disable debugging mode and return the browser to its normal state.
Remember to thank me if I have helped you
Thanks for you very much.
It is work now!
My Nook Simple Touch was rooted years ago, using NookManager. Recently, I find neither the Top Left nor Top Right side-button will change pages in the standard Reader, Cool Reader or any other application, including the Launcher. The two bottom side-buttons always work fine.
The top side-button hardware is fine because I can use Nook Touch Mod Manager to alter the behaviour of either top side-button. However, if the two top side-buttons are set to "Default" or "Tap Left (Previous Page)" or "Tap Right (Next Page)", neither button will change the page in any application. Incidentally, changing the Reader option in Nook Settings or powering-off the Nook makes no difference.
Any suggestions?
@Joydeck,
If you don't already have it, download and install @Renate NST's UsbMode.apk app from here (the file is UsbMode-2.1.apk). Then, follow the instructions below.
1. Launch the app "USB Mode Utility" from your app drawer.
2. Click the top left button on your Nook, and note what text appears (if any) in the Symbol: section.
3. Do the same process as step 2 with the top right button on your Nook.
4. Tell me what appears in the Symbol: region for both buttons.
This should get you going in the right direction.

Thank you for helping.
After launching the USB Mode Utility app, pressing the either the Top Left or Top Right side-button alters nothing on the USB Mode Utility screen, except that an underline character on the far right of the Scan code field changes briefly to a solid triangle, registering each key-press. Symbol, among other fields, is blank.
Incidentally, pressing the Bottom Left side-button shows Symbol: PAGE_DOWN (Scan code: 139 and Key code: 93). Pressing the Bottom Right shows Symbol: SWITCH_CHARSET (Scan code: 158 and Key code: 95). Pressing the either the Top Left or Top Right side-button alters nothing.

I now believe the problem occurs when you alter the long press setting for the top buttons in Nook Touch Mod Manager. If these are left at default, all seems to work fine.
