I am left handed and wonder if there is a way to have the scroll bar in WM5 on the left hand side instead of the right (using laptop mode)
fyi: There is an thread already open about essentially this same topic:

I don't think there has been a solution yet.

I am left handed so is there anyway to move the vertical scroll bar from the right hand side to the left on ie. I have a mini xda s if that makes a difference?
Same here, I would have thought this was a blindling obvious requirement, but if it is there it has escaped me so far.
not possible
it's a shame ...
I'm big fan of HaaliReader, but I don't like how it behaves on my Touch Pro2.
So I have created a build for touch screen control.
May be someone will appreciate...
Changes compared to the original:
Sweep finger up and down to scroll pages
Sweep finger left right to move among chapters/sections
Tap long to popup menu
Doubleclick to activate full creen
Dictionary - the search is from the popup menu
Dictionary - when active, left or right sweep will return to the previous position
FullScreen mode - tapping right bottom corner performs page down
FullScreen mode - tapping right top corner will quit full screen
I must just note, that I'm really not a C++ or WM developer. It was just my try and tested only on my phones. Any feedback is appreciated.
Seems to work fine on the Fuze - cool app.
Today I noticed the lock on the X10 is changeable. Basic setting is dragging from left bottom to right middle, but if you prefer from right bottom to left middle (since you’re left-handed or you prefer it for some reason) this is how to get it fixed.
1. Lock your phone
2. Put your finger on the end of the swipe bar (right-middle part of the screen)
3. Drag the bar to the left
4. Release the bar
5. All done.
Now your phone-unlock is left-hand-proof
Thanks for the TIP, i mustav accidentally changed the settings and it was eating me up for days.
Wow, that's a cool feature. Nothing I'll use myself but it works a treat and SE even made it look nice when switching.
Thanks for the guide.

1.Go to the left lower corner and place ur cursor...
2.If ur keypad has a key for windows then press it...
3.Place or cursor on the right lower corner to highlight a tab with settings & other controls, one of which is start menu...
4. Sometimes press ESC key...

Or put the desktop as the first thing in the start screen (top left) then hit enter. Desktop bang faster than any other version of windows by a long way. Also if you don't like going into the corner to launch the start screen ie get to your programs then download the zip file from here -
http://www.7tutorials.com/download-shortcut-windows-8-start-screen-desktop
It creates a program that's just a link to the start menu as you cant add shortcuts it is compiled as an exe.
This is esp good on multi monitor setups as with the hot corner it can be a little bit of a fiddle to get it to launch.

Little Known Feature for users with Multi-Monitors:
When you need to hit a corner on a monitor that borders another monitor, it can be tricky to hit just right.
Don't try to be so precise. Just fling your mouse to any corner and it will "catch" the cursor and bring up the Charm or App List (Start Screen Button).
What I normally do is throw my pointer at the top or bottom and sling it to the side I need. It gets "caught" and acts like you are parked in a corner.
It's a small area that will catch it (6x6 pix), but it works really well.
Thanks!

It works better if you fling down and not so much to the corner. tbh I personally don't find it an issue now as I have programmed by mouse button but it did wind me up and I have has to put the icon on a couple of users. Its not so much that its tricky or even slow its just I like to fling myself about the os so I hate anything that is precise with the mouse lol, I think that's why I love the new start screen so much, Big fat squares instead of a list I find myself opening stuff before I even realized.
So I was wondering, how can one configure the lefthand and righthand menus to pop up faster, and without going into the corner of the screen? Ideally, I want to be able to touch anywhere on the screen edge to activate those menus. And if at all possible, I'd like to move the multitasking UI to the top of the screen instead of on the left. Thanks =]
Wouldn't it get in the way if all you had to do was move the mouse to the edge of the screen? Scroll bars would be pretty impossible to use...
I don't really have any problems with its speed. Do you know that if you move the cursor to a corner and directly up/down, the Charms/Multitasking bar will appear almost instantly? It doesn't wait for you, if you're quick.
