Hi guys ;
First let me say that i am sorry if there is another same topic, let i explain my problem,i bought LG G2 16GB international unlocked model, two months ago all was working completly fine for the past two months, last night my phone was at 2% battery life, while i went to get to the charger phone turned off(well i guess it drained the 2% fast since wifi and one game was working) i came back and pluged the charger in to the phone everything looked normal it was charging when it was 100% i unpluged it,after that for a minute or two when i started using it,it became extremly slowly, screen was totally unresponsive i was trying to unlock it with knock on all i was seeing is the LED notification light flash but display was not turning on,then after 3-4 attempts it turn on but then it become again "dead" then it unlock phone automatically and when i tap on the screen it should display the front unlock screen so when i swipe that it unlocks the device, but for me it was completly diffrent first it unlock the device and then for 3-4 seconds later display the unlock screen, but also after an hour or two after charging phone works fine no problem everything is good, but when i put it to charge it get really hot,not on the battery but on the top of the phone around camera, volume up/down,and lock keys,i don't know could KitKat cause this issues because phone is currently running KitKat? i think its hardwere issues connected something maybe either with the charger itself or some part at the top of phone maybe that is causing screen to go buggy ?so i'm still confused to send the phone to repair since i have warranty for two years or maybe its software problem that why i am asking, but i don't think it's software since KitKat was working for a month and didn't cause this problem,i mean it's not the problem to use the phone after it gets normal after charging, but i don't want every time to wait and waste an hour or two for letting phone getting back to normal.
Thanks for the help, and sorry for huge message.

Just wanted to let you know I just had to return my Nike for the 3rd time now. Currently my Nike isn't my primary phone however it is very annoying this thing won't seem to keep working.
Couple of weeks ago, the battery died on me. The phone was on an official HTC charger .. no problems whatsoever. However when I checked back on the phone couple of hours later, I found out the phone was dead. Completely dead. It turned itself off and wouldn't turn on. I tried installing a new working battery.. no luck.
I went to the T-M shop and turned it in. Week later I got a letter from the repair center stating the battery was dead. As the phone is about 14 months old, the battery isn't covered by warranty but the device itself is. Repair center said the phone worked fine with a new battery and adviced me to get a new one.
I had the phone returned to me and got myself a new battery. Seem to work at first however I got more problems when charging. The charge LED would start blinking orange and the phone never charged over 15%. One hour later ... phone + battery dead again. (Thanks alot .. new battery down the drain :\)
So again ... back to the T-M shop. Sent it in without the battery. Phone was found to be defective (all the sudden :O, ****ers) and the replaced the logic board on it. I had it returned to me again and bought yet another battery for the device.
At first all seemed fine however charging went really fast. When fully charged, I noticed the device would discharge really fast. Even when turned off! About 5% / hour. The next day I also noticed the radio (phone part) was broken as well. Getting signal on T-M network took over 5 minutes. Making calls is impossible as they get disconnected before connection can even be made (15 secs). Recieving calls is nearly impossible. It takes about 20 secs to connect making it ring barely one time before voicemail hits.
So today .. for the third damn time .. I had to return my Dual to T-M. How are your Duals doing guys?
ok here is the problem.
4 nights ago i forgot to plug in my hd2 while android was running and the battery died.
the next morning i went to turn it on and the screen no longer turns on but the phone does boot. the battery doesnt charge, status light doesnt either, end key doesnt work, when i answer calls no noise can be heard or made.

Im guessing you cant run bootloader?

If you know someone with another HD2, Try swapping the battery.

Hi Chris,
Please eleborate/clarify your OP, because I don't think anyone gets this... At least i don't! You say the screen doesn't turn on but the phone boots?! How do you figure that? Your device is actually on because you can receive/answer calls!?! :S
Sounds like your device has just BSOD (Black Screen of Death) which is discussed quite a lot here. Just press reset button or pull the battery (please tell me you have tried that before...).
If your device IS NOT powered on, please try this:
Does the device vibrate shortly when pressing the End-button? If so you should leave it connected to the charger for longer. If battery has drained too much it takes a while for the device to allow it to power itself up (prevention of overdrainage, which Lithium-batteries don't like very much).
Do you charge through USB, or with the supplied charger? I've had this before trying to charge it with a (different brand) microUSB charger. Turned out most chargers only give out 500mAh, whilst my normal charger (and car-charger) give out 1000mAh i believe. That might help.
You can order a cheap replacement battery from China (i got mine with dockingstation), which is already charged about 60% (for storage purposes).
BTW if your problem is fixed, please add the prefix [FIXED] or [SOLVED] to your topics title.

i have restarted many times.
i use the wall charger.
but why would the phone boot but not turn on the screen or have the mic work?
remove your sd card and the battery. you may have to hit the rest button on the back after you plug the battery back in as well, but as long as you have the sd card out it should come back on. try plugging the phone into a charger and then remove the battery as well sometimes it'll wake it up so to speak. it's just a matter of playing with it. mine did the exact same thing and i freaked out for a little bit.
now if after all this it doesn't work and you've played with it for a while then yeah, best of luck to you =\. but whatever you do in playing with the battery and the charger, keep the sd card out until you can boot into winmo.
EDIT: never mind, i thought the phone wasn't booting. i misunderstood, but i went back and reread the original post. try reflashing your rom if you're in winmo and experiencing those issues. or take the sd card out and reboot.
i would suggest making an backup, as your phone turns on you should be able to estaplish a remote-connection with some (3rd-party-)software and do a hardreset.
if this wont work i would recommend setting it back to factory default (revert hspl if you have one and install stock rom) and send it in for warranty.
seems to be some major problem...
All this steps should be possible without screen turning on (working touchscreen may be needed for backup, but flashing doent need screen input)
if drive-mode is default for your usb connection and holding you from flashing you can do a hardreset and afterwards active sync will be default again and you can establish an active sync connection and flash
check if any of the pins that contact the battery are bended or broken, try to avoid removing the battery when you have to reset your hd2 because the pins are fragile
similar thing happened to me just last night!
I tried the jmz dual boot last night and I was nearly out of battery. I didnt look at any instructions I just installed it and restarted the phone to check out the new toy. it finally got done loading I chose android right away and I was walking towards the bedroom. when I went to see if android had fully booted and plug in the phone I had nothing! It was off. I decided that the battery must have died so I tried to turn it on and all that happened was the tmobile flash screen came up for a second and then it went right off, I got so desperate that I was going to do a hard reset but that wouldnt even work! the boot loader screen would just shut right off. I was suggested to try another battery we had at the house and bang it fired right up I took a wiff of my other battery and I dont know what happened but I think I let the magic smoke out cuz it is fried!

hello friend...i have a problem similar to this. basically when my phone is in android which i use alot if it dies in android, when i reboot it it will turn on for about a second to see my splash screen then turn itself off (the battery is obviously flat). so i plug my charger in and it stays on now but doesnt indicate charging....i boot it into windows mobile and the batt just stays at 0% but its still working. however once i unplug it it will die.....its like the battery is not in the phone. luckily i have two batteries and a dock which charges batteries, so i replaced the battery and everything works fine. once the battery that died in android was fully charged i tried it again and it was fine.................im guesing the moral to this story is dont let your phone die in android mode
I do notice my HD2 runs hotter while in android than while it runs in Windows.
I am not sure if that's an issue to this, which is why I never mentioned about it being hotter. Although my HD2 is noticeable hotter, it never gets to a point that I think I should unplug the USB due to overheating concern...
Just a few inputs from passed experience
I use TMOUS Stock 2.13.531.1 WWE ROM
2.12.50.2_2 radio (not stock)
k going to tmobile today to see if they have any extra batteries i can try.
then ill update
i went to tmobile. and while i was there i noticed the screen was turning on but very dim without backlight (barely noticable). but the rep helping me did not notice and i let it stay that way because tmobile is sending me a new refurbished phone as long as i send the old one (and the rep was totally cool he uses xda also and said they wont check my software and if they do they wont ask for the phone back). he also let me get insurance in case this happens again, instead i will just say its lost. so i basically killed 2 birds with one stone
Hi Everyone! I have a galaxy note 3 SM N9005 32GB. I've started facing a very weird problem recently that I cannot find described anywhere in quite the way I'm experiencing it.. My note 3 powered off by itself after running out of charge last night. Ever since then, the only thing that happens when I plug it in to charge is that the screen stays black and the phone only vibrates once. No charging LED indicator, nothing on the screen at all, just a black screen like when the phone is off. In order to get it to vibrate again, I have to do a power drain before connecting it back to a charger. There's nothing on the screen at all. Can't boot into recovery or download modes and it's not detected by a computer. Have tried multiple cables (USB 3.0 and 2) and have 2 batteries which were working fine till this happened.
Any idea of what's going on? And if I can back up any data from it like contacts and messages? Thankfully, I had transferred almost every app I could to the micro SD card (128GB Sandisk) and was able to at least recover my notes from colornote, but I digress. What is going on in my phone?
Additional info - the battery is probably still charging when I plug it in. I think this because the phone and the battery warm up after being plugged in for a little while just like they used to when the phone was working.
Even more additional info - I don't know if this is relevant, but I recently upgraded to the most recent OS version available. I think It's a 5.0 or something but I can't remember exactly. Also, the front camera stopped working some time after the upgrade. And 2 days before this, 2 apps refused to update for some reason. I don't know if this could be related.
TL;DR - Note 3 N9005 ran out of charge and is now almost dead with black screen and no LED but vibrates only once after plugging in or pushing the power button. To get it to vibrate again, a power drain needs to be done. The battery is still charging because it gets warm when plugged in.
I too had the same problem but when I connected the phone it would not even vibrate like completely dead.
Maybe try these:-
1)Connect it to the pc of it detects it then recovery would be easy.
2)Connect the charger properly.
3)remove battery for like 30 minutes and try the steps 1 and 2 again.
4) If still not working go to the dealer cause I had to go to him too. ?
Sent from my SM-N900 using Tapatalk
I bought it off of amazon, any suggestions in such a case? Besides trying to send it back, I mean. Anything or tool I can try? I don't mind if it gets technical. Need to get my app data off the internal memory.
Though mine started with a different problem than yours, since today it seems like the problem is same like yours. Phone's display is totally black, yet I can go to download mode (cause phone is detected by Odin), I flashed the latest stock ROM of UK too, but now there is no change anyway. I want to be practical and think that this is a display problem, if not I will be more than happy. I have to send the phone to a local technician I know, lets see.
The only think I believe you can do is wait, for maybe 6-7 hours or so, with the battery detached, and then insert it back and see whether its booting with display on or not, if not its more likely a hardware issue, display possibly.
Hi,
One thing that is really weird started to happen recently.
(About Once per 10~20 days)
#And it's that my Note4 just suddenly die in the middle of usage no warnings.
#The screen becomes totally black no LED lights, and pressing the home or power button doesn't wake it up.
#the only 2 ways to turn it on back again is either you have to plug in the charger or remove the battery and put it back again.
Now i thought that the battery is probably the issue.
But the strangest part is that. When i turn the phone back on The battery still has the same percentage before it died so i can simply continue using the rest of the charge without any issues. (Apparently it holds the charge just ok?)
It's almost like getting turned off by it self except you can't turn it back on unless u connect a charger for a second or reinsert the battery.
Note that: this isn't the original battery that came from the device as the original one started to have less screen on time than before about 3.5 to 4.5hrs not bad but the newer one i bought which is supposedly original or atleast the highest quality i could find it gave me 5hrs to 6.5hrs of screen on time.
I'm not sure if it's the battery or a software bug.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Try this fix guide i made .

If this doesn't fix then 100% battery issue go get a new battery.
I woke up this morning after realizing my alarm on my phone didnt go off. When I went to check my phone, I found that it won't turn on.
I tried the Volume Down + Power for 15 seconds, 30 seconds, and 1 minute. I also tried safemode Volume Up + Power for 15 sec, 30 sec, and 1 minute.
Tried connecting to the computer to see if I could adb reboot it but the phone isnt being detected by adb. I can hear it connecting and disconnecting constantly from windows.
I put the phone on the charger last night at about 60% charge, so it should have had enough battery to sit unused for a few hours but it was only about 6 hours later that I noticed it wouldn't turn on.
Right now I am just hoping the battery bugged out and drained so the phone is sitting on the charger charging up but there's no signs of life. My phone has been fine for a month with the September patches and fine before that. I havent taken the october patch yet.
My phone is a little bit over 2 months old.
What else can I do and what would have caused the phone to suddenly not turn on?
Update: Phone has been charging for about 2.5 hours. It is charging at a constant 11mA (0.11A) and has taken in about 220mA. The screen still hasn't came back on. Email sent to Essential a few hours ago, no reply yet.

I'm from Mexico, but I do not know if my equipment is still guaranteed, is there any way to check if it has a guarantee? because I do not want to have a nice paperweight.

Phones purchased in the US come with a 1 year warranty.
I would assume Mexico would get a similar warranty.
You will need your original proof of purchase.
Contact Essential and explain your situation, they will probably be able to come up with a solution for you.

Click the “?” In the lower right corner and send them an email that explains your situation.
Couldn’t find a Mexico support link. Even using my VPN set to Mexico, it gave me the US support page.
I thank you for your attention, I let it be completely discharged and I have connected it to charge right now and on ... I am happy !!!!
Same problem here, actually my phone was on but screen would not come out of wake. Screen would brighten slightly when combination of buttons pushed,
This happened to me after about two weeks of use, first time it happened I was able to make it come alive by playing with buttons. Than about a week later after having it charging it would not become active.
Emailed Essential with problem, they sent out a replacement unit.
First time I had problem, I was on PIE non rooted, when it finally died I was stock rooted PIE. I don't think rooting had anything to do with problem since it happened even before root. Network Sprint
good morning to all, I hope and can help my team last night when I was watching videos after 2 hours the screen froze so I decided to force a reboot with which I thought the problem would be solved, but to my surprise it was not like that, the phone when turning on did not give imangen only the screen cleared so I knew it had been turned on, but never gave an image, I let it completely discharged thinking that with that it would be fixed and nothing, I put it on and when I turn on the same thing happens it clears the screen but it does not give an image, try the button convention and nothing that solves it, someone has had the same problem? the phone and try tentadilla unlock and put music in spotify so the touch and sound work, also frame and enter calls as well as calls by messenger! help

I filed trouble ticket at the Essential support web page, then they requested I send copy of receipt, IMEI etc.. Then a day later a new phone was mailed to me. Pretty efficient I must say,
